Bay Pines VA Healthcare System Reviews

My Name is Albert J. Vickers I recently spent 5 days at Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg Fl. for a very serious problem I was having. It was a very trying time for me ,but the Doctors and staff there made it so much easier for my wife and I while I was in their care. They just couldn't do enough for us and it was and is very important that they get the Thanks that they all deserve . God Bless you all and thanks for your service to our Veterans and their family.

Doctors and staff poorly educated on Seizure or Epilepsy issues and effects. Hospital demands the placing of veteran in dangerous locations and because of such veteran experienced denial of medical care in a safe environment. Both before a seizure and following one veteran was again demanded into a unsafe environment or care denied.

I would like to mention some folks that made my 2 day ordeal much more comfortable. I had a lung biopsy and my lung collapsed. Dr Hayes did a great job. Had a tube inserted and had to spend the night.
Thanks to a fantastic team I was released the following day.
Big shoutout to my RN Taylor McIntosh. Patience of a Saint..
Then to Denise Fuller radiology. Made a very unnerving situation better than bearable.
And to John from X-ray. He makes X-Rays fun.
I m sure I missed a few others and I apologize for not remembering their names.
All were concerned with my well being. The care was incredible.

I want to thank Bay Pines VA. I am from Texas and my orthopedic knee brace had broken. I called and was given instructions where to go and the administrative assistant guided me quickly and efficiently. I was in orthopedics and while they did not have a replacement they worked and managed to repair the current brace. I am so very grateful for Gabe and Brendon in orthopedics and Pam the RN who did the initial induction. The staff at Bay Pines are kind, professional and genuinely helpful.
I have always praised my Texas VA... Florida is doing as fine a job as I receive back home. I am proud to say these VA's are second to none. Thank you again.

Just received my 1st. COVID shot, I have never seen such a large group of people trying to take care of us veterans, I don t know how many people it took to make this work so smoothly but they did it, thank you for being there for us. Maybe the VA should show the other countries in Florida how to do this. A JOB WELL DONE

Great job keep it up. Staff very attentive. Bldg. 100 .4th floor D . Waiting room vending machine should have more water and less soda selections.

This facility may be confusing to navigate and sprawled out all over the place with little rhyme, nor reason, but the staff is all about serving veterans of all campaigns and of all ages! I felt welcomed and people even stop to help you if you get lost and stop what they're doing to actually help you. So far the experience has been very positive!
As a veteran, you can also go fishing along the shoreline and try your hand at a fish or two!

The staff are exceptional and the fisher house is the best comfort for families during their time of there family member being in the hospital Every one that I have had contact with has been very helpful
