It is the Missouri warship of the end of the Second World War and the ties between Korea and Korea that can not be separated! It was the surrender of Japan in the Second World War. It was a great battleship that saved many lives by supporting the main guns of the Incheon Landing Operation in the Korean War and supporting powerful guns even during the withdrawal of Hungnam. Of course it is old fashioned now, but at that time it was state of the art! If you are interested in World War II or history, it is a must-see course, and even if it's not a good sightseeing course, it's probably worth visiting.

Also part of the great Pearl Harbor facility. Once you are on board you smell the oil, you can either do a guided tour, or alone, you can do large parts of the ship. Very interesting, with many explanations and partly loving decoration.
Absolutely worth a visit, even for those who are otherwise museum muffle.

Another great memorial, this thing is huge and majestic and so much history to it. A definite must do. There are a lot of small details you may miss if you don't take the free tour, like what do the footprints on the deck mean etc.

Moving, exciting and just rousing. Anyone interested in military history and contemporary history must have seen the USS Missouri. Many veterans are on site and like to talk about their ship and you can really learn a lot. Even the view from the bow to the sunken USS Arizona is more than moving!

Great. All surreal and sent a shiver up the spine. Unfortunate that the park rangers doing tickets at the entrance were arrogant and clearly didn t wNt to be there. I ll Think twice next time.

I went aboard the USS Missouri on its way to the Jap invasion and its return in the Panama Canal Zone when I was 12 years old. The sailors showed us where the Jap plane crashed into it and gave me a piece of the plane. However your story of the burial of the Nip pilot was not anywhere near the one you tell. They said that the pilot landed on the deck, they stripped his dead body and then flung it overboard They showed us his flight cap and goggles. I tend to believe them and not the story of a crew member sewing a Jap war flag and giving him a military funeral. Why should they? How many US soldiers were given this honor that were murdered by them in prison camps? That story is unrealistic.

Well worth a visit to the mighty Mo enjoyed most of the tour. I have heard from a number of locals how disappointed they are with the repair to the Arizona memorial and the length of time the repair work is taking. There are a lot of visitors that are wanting to pay respects and can only do from a distance. Get the job done.

As a sailor it is almost haunting to be aboard a ship so wrought in history. Even though I'm on an aircraft carrier, it's humbling to be aboard this Pinnacle of American sea power that was the ending point of WWII. I recommend everyone visit these sites and never forget the price of peace

The second time I was privileged to visit Mighty Mo, the ship my father served on during WWII. The first was with my father on a family vacation to Seattle to meet my dad's youngest brother. The ship was mothballed in Bremerton in 1963, and dad took me there and gave me the full tour. Very nice to see her again one final time!

World War 2 historians will appreciate standing on the site of the Japanese surrender that brought that global conflict to a close. Not to mention one of the finest examples of historical naval firepower in the world.

Once arriving, you can opt to take a tour, no extra charge, which is extremely informational and intriguing. This take about 20 minutes and after you are set free to explore the battleship. Everything from the mess halls to the navigation deck is open and the turrets are especially interesting, but I'm into that kind of stuff.

The history and story of the Mighty MO battleship really comes to life as you walk the deck in a guided tour. The tour guides are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and enjoyable. This is definitely a must see in Oahu!
