This one is a little drive on a shuttle bus to Ford Island. The ship itself is massive. You can also have an audio tour with this one, but they weren't clearly marked on where to pick it up. It's near the beginning somewhere...we got all the way on to the ship and they said "Oh you have to pick them up down there." We decided against waiting in line again so we just went around on our own. They were doing the deck restoration or the teak wood deck when we were there. It was really amazing to think of how long this ship had been in commission, and to see the difference in the restored deck to the old deck. I often feel great pride in my country whenever we do a tour at Pearl Harbor. It is amazing the things we have accomplished.

Uncle Andy was our tour guide and was totally worth the half hour to listen to the history behind the battleship! The way he included the members of our group got us more involved with listening.

This was truly an amazing visit. Will always remember it. So much history. The ship its massive. We did the extra 90 minute tour until the heart of the ship - got to see what life was like well below deck.

If you are interested in learning about the history in Hawaii this is a great place to go. I went with a school group which meant there were over 60 people to accommodate in my group and they did an excellent job of doing so. We were divided into groups of around 20 and each group was taken by a tour guide. My guide was super friendly and even brought a lot of humor to his discussion which I appreciated a lot. Despite only having around 10 minutes until the ship closed for the day, he managed to teach us a lot about what the ship went through in the war. The guides were punctual with their time and overall very entertaining. It was also nice to simply explore the ship itself. It is a lovely tourist shop that I would recommend visiting.

This is an outstanding memorial that is well worth your time. Plan 1.5-2 hours if you don't want to feel rushed. The staff is very friendly and informative and the vessel is huge and intriguing. You can walk all over the topside, but also can go down below decks and see the crew quarters as well as the work space.

cool

Hello,

Hello,

I did the Pearl Harbour Memorial, Aviation and the Missouri tour earlier this month, Tuesday 3rd of March and had a gentleman with a moustache as our guide on MO. Sorry, can't remember his name. He was brilliant and brought a huge insight into the ship, it's history through numerous wars, the surrender in WW2, Pearll Harbour. Brilliant.
What a legend.

Just awesome to be able to stand on and enjoy such a great piece of history. Appropriate that the ship that ended the war is parked next to one of the ships attacked to start the war for America (USS Arizona)

Really loved that could walk through a proper battleship. It was a shame in some ways it had been refurbished from it's original WWII state however also good to see what life was like for those fighting a war in an era that I grew up in.

A very well preserved ship. We took a tour which gives a lot more insight into life on the ship. There is a lot more than just the formal surrender that took place. There are interesting stories behind the people who were there and who was allowed to sign and who was invited to attend. The tours can be joined as soon as you walk on to the ship.

We took the short guided tour and enjoyed learning more about the history of the ship

We also went below deck and toured the ship. There is a mix of museum galleries as well as areas of the ship you can walk through. It gives a good sense of how crew members lived and worked there.

We spent about 2 hours there and could have probably spent another hour more.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time aboard the USS Missouri!

First of all, the tour was very informative and just the right length. We learned the basics of the ship and the significance of what happened there.

Secondly, we loved the freedom to explore the ship. Below deck is self-guided. There's a maze of rooms to explore. We had a blast.

You can easily spend several hours here and there are plenty of picture opportunities.

If you have kids and are in the area, this is a great option. They'll learn a lot and have a blast. Absolutely with the price of admission.

You have to take a bus to get to the Mighty MO, but they have restrooms, drinks, and a gift shop over there.

Great tour of the history of the ship and it's significance in WWII. Highly recommend during the guided tour on the top deck before moving on to the self tour on the lower deck. Can be finished in a couple hours. Fairly easy to climb and walk around.

We went here with a toddler and the experience was amazing. Its not everyday you have the chance to be inside a battleship. Seeing the battleship up close with the big cannons is definetly recommended if you ever visit pearl harbour.
You can also step inside the control room and navigation room. All the equipement is intact, and you can even see the process of launching missiles.
They have free guide tours that you can join aswell.
The cost to enter is $29 per person and kids under 3 are free

Great!

This place is big. Be prepared to do a lot of walking if you decide to visit this ship on your trip to Pearl Harbor. The exhibits and rooms below the deck are mostly self guided and get a bit repetitive towards the end, but the tour guides who tell the history of the ship on the deck are fantastic at what they do and make history entertaining.
