It's a good memory for me to be yelled at by a sentry in French as I approached him.

My father worked in the military arsenal based in submarines I spent my Christmas there when I was a child because only the family was allowed there these are wonderful memories that I would keep all my life today of course there are no God is watching over all those who left too soon

I lived in Toulon and around .... around 1951 to 1958. It was a young and dynamic city and when the sailors disembarked from St Mandrier and the Arsenal, you had to see this effervescence! without counting all the warships including PA Lafayette that I had the opportunity to see very closely, my father being assigned to the latter.
