We had the best time today canoeing with our dog! Everything went smoothly and we had so much fun. The waterproof boxes they had for $10 were so helpful. So glad we bought one, and you get to keep it!

Just left Barefoot Canoe after visiting for the first time. My husband and decided to check it out after a friend recommended it to us. We had a wonderful experience and the staff was amazing. They were super helpful and very nice. We will definitely be back. Thank you Barefoot Canoe for the wonderful experience!

Barefoot Canoe is very affordable at about $30 per canoe. That also includes life jackets and paddles. You get the canoe until 7 pm I believe. We paddled and floated down river for hours with several family members and had an absolute blast! There's a couple of small islands that we stopped at on our way down river and met some awesome people there. The scenery and water were great and several of us jumped in for a long swim. At the end of the day you park your canoe at this meeting point where every half hour a van comes to collect canoes and give people lifts back to the park. When we got out of the van we were met with some nice cold freezer pops. We will definitely be coming back to Barefoot Canoe again!

I have never met a more disrespectful employee (or business owner) in my life. We were late on returning our kayaks due to rest breaks and I let them know that upon return when they asked us what wasn t clear about returning on time? Then he turned around and proceeded to use vulgar & disrespectful language to the lady behind the front desk about our late return, loud and intentionally for us to hear. Then had the audacity to ask us if it was okay to take our photo for whatever weird reason. Learn your business. You work in a service industry. Don t like it? Leave it. Get educated and learn the latest drop time for your kayaks before you try and take it out on customers. Your kayaks were dinky, oars were poor and not rounded, and all other employees lacked social skills. First and last time being there, and I ll pass on the word to others. ;)

So I have always gone here and have always loved it. Usually very friendly, love that the dog is always there, and its just a good experience. BUT I just went with a group of people and before we left it showed sunny skies for the next few hours, well that was wrong. We were out there for probably 35 mins when all of a sudden it was HORRIBLE storms. We all pulled our (metal) canoes off the water and we were at a spot where it was field and could be picked up. The storm was so horrible (lightening, couldn't see anything, etc.) we were honestly all so scared. We called and asked them to please come pick us up because it was no longer safe and they refused. They said "do you think were not aware that there are storms, you guys just need to get back in and paddle to the end" We didn't ask for a refund, we were just scared for our safety. We had to sit and wait over and hour & 1/2 in freezing downpour rain before we were able to go back out. And when we got back to the bus they tried to leave without us because we were a minute late and was rude about it. (bc we had to wait so long for storms) sad to say I won't be returning.
