Great food and an alcohol selection that includes a number of phenomenal cocktails and local craft beer. Although, the staff and clientele are often rude and pretentious. There's also no real seating on peak hours. It's a standing-tapas style hipster bar.

The tapas here are spectacular and the restaurant is very well decorated. It would be a 5 if you didn't have to sell an organ on the black market to pay the bill haha.

Friendly service, good selection of beer and interesting & original menu. The decor is beatiful; wood work is amazing! Will visit again and sit on the patio. Check it out.

We came after with my wife on the afternoon after walking through Toronto.
The vibe of this place is great. We arrived and sat in the bar, the barman was really nice and polite. We just ordered drinks but they were delicious.
Definitely a place to come back.

Cocktails and tapas are so good! Definitely get the Galician Octopus!!! Place is tiny though so it's always busy and a wait is expected

Terrible. This place is dead to me; will never consider giving my business again. Myself and another friend planned to meet someone there. Our friend was there a bit early and was inside. We get there and are told that we have to wait on a guest list for 1 hour to get in. Not really feeling like waiting I call my friend inside and let him know to come out and we'll go somewhere else. He comes to the door and the security gentleman says we can join him since he's already inside. So we go inside, and are about to order a drink when a waitress tells us we need to leave because we skipped the guest list and lied to get in when we were actually let in by security. She was accusatory and rude which is completely unacceptable in a service/experience environment. She did not care to hear what had actually happened at the door and assumed we were lying to get inside like this place is some big deal LOL. I couldn't care less about getting inside this place; just wanted to have a few drinks with some friends and it seemed like a cool venue! We don't really care to argue and are happy to leave as we've had enough of the awful staff at this place. As we are exiting the security guard admits to having made an error and he apologizes and says if we want we can go back on the guest list and would be let in another hour from now LOL. After accusing us of lying and being incredibly rude only to then admit they were wrong, they have the audacity to say we can still wait an hour to get in if we wanted...what a joke. The incredibly rude waitress also did not apologize at all upon finding out this was the security guards error. She continued to maintain a smug impression and did not say a word. She was just the worst.

This aside, the food and drinks are super overpriced. Ordered the exact same Spanish wine at another bar down the street for literally half the price.

Food was mind-blowing and out of this world. Smoked Mackerel was my favorite, wasn't fishy and salty - just right! Decor is lovely but be prepared to stand as it's a bar lounge (only a few stools, if you can snatch one during peak hours)

Best bar in Toronto! Not only is it beautiful, but the tapas are absolutely amazing. They have the best bread I ve ever had. It does get very busy though so you may be waiting awhile to order. It s also pricey but the food and drinks are worth it. I really enjoy the atmosphere here as well, it has a very European vibe.

Went here for the first after hearing rave reviews and was thoroughly impressed.

When we got there (around 9:20) there were only a few guests. By the time we left the place was packed to the brim. They don't take reservations so I felt as though we got lucky.

We ordered the cold octopus, Jamon and manchego, croquettes, beef tenderloin, skate, and the cheese cake. The beef tenderloin was cooked to PERFECTION (it was tinkering on the border of being too salty AND I'm not a big fan of the shoshito peppers that accompanied it). The croquettes were so rich and succulent. The skate came with mushrooms, corn and a brown butter sauce and was heavenly. Everything was exceptional but the cold octopus definitely stole the show. I could have eaten 10 plates.

The food came out in a timely manner. The staff was so attentive but NOT to a point where it was annoying. They demonstrated their expert knowledge of the menu. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Food is super expensive but very good. The beer selection is alright, but the cocktails are intensely good. Would definitely go back.

Bar Raval is simply one of the best restaurants you will find in Toronto. The founders set out to make the best bar in the world and they're not far off. From the Gaudi inspired, Partisan Architects designed interiors, to the expert and consistent service, to the delicious and accessible menu this place is an absolutely stellar. The cocktails are world class and they always keep some great beers on the menu. Not sure what to drink, get a glass of Cava sparkling wine. It goes great with everything. They're open for three meals a day. Go for their gourmet donuts and coffee in the morning and come back later for a amazing small plates and a late night cocktail.

Food, service, atmosphere and location all can't be beat. I recommend bar raval for breakfast, lunch, mid afternoon break, supper or late night! Attracts a great crowd and is always a top notch experience

Great tapas. Nice interior. The hot octopus and mushroom tower was bomb. More of a cocktail bar so not a big selection of taps or a place to get a meal. Perfect place to have snacks while drinking.

Incredible. The Bitty was the best non-alcoholic drink I have ever had. Cod Tongue was buttery and superb! Bartenders are super.

Definitely a must see bar in Toronto to feel that Gaudi vibe. Cocktails are worth trying. Didn t have time to taste tapas. I ll definitely want to eat there next time. I wish they could have had more bar seats. Unfortunately the waitress (wearing glasses)we had on a Friday night around 6:00 pm did not want any part in providing anything related to good service. Nice place, bad attitude.

This restaurant really reminds me of Spain!! The concept of the interior design is inspired by gaudy and Barcelona. The staff are very friendly and have excellent food and cocktails. I really had a great time here. Note that this restaurant don't take reservations and they have limited seating. So if u do plan to go, go before 6:15 to avoid long line ups.

This place has delectable tapas and Pintxos! The decor is absolutely stunning and the ambience is lovely too. Service is great, if a bit slow. They also have great cocktails and an excellent wine selection. It gets busy though, and often, from Thursday through Saturday, there is standing room only in the evenings. It s totally worth it though. They also have a patio!

The food is incredible here! Portions aren't massive but the taste is immaculate.

I love tapas style places, be prepared to share a bunch of little dishes. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I liked how you can describe a drink you want and the bartenders will mix something up for you - very cool.

This place is absolutely delicious! We had the oysters, bay scallops, tomato bread, cheese, jambon, croquette, and octopus. Everything we tried was 5/5 tasty! We also ordered a glass of red wine to go with our meal and it paired perfectly with everything. For dessert we tried both options: the cheesecake and the Spanish pie.

Went to Bar Raval last night for the first time... It is as beautiful as the pictures, but tiny. Very, very tiny. Food is good but certainly not worth the prices. We paid 20.00 for a small plate of steak and onions and yes it was very tasty but certainly not worth the money. The service was very good, they were polite and very attentive. It's a good place to go for a few drinks and leave, not a place for a sit down dinner. The bar has maybe 5 stools and the likelihood of you getting one is slim. Be prepared to stand for the whole time you are there. Don't think we will be retuning. Just not worth the money. You kinda pay for the ambiance.

Bar Raval is a tiny piece of Barcelona and its fantastic cuisine right in the heart of Toronto. The interior is done beautifully, very much Gaud inspired. The wooden barrels that service as standing tables take you to streets of Barcelona were tapas are eaten quickly and on the go. There is an extensive and tasty drink menu. The tapas that we ordered were all tasty. We enjoyed some more than others and ordered some more. Service was excellent. It is a bit of a pricy place, since tapas are small in portion and if you go hungry, you need to order a few to fill up but if you are looking for an authentic tapas experience in Toronto, this is hands down the place to go.

Get the chicken liver mousse with rhubarb pintxos. It's new on the menu, and it's so pretty. Always a great experience at Raval.

Amazing place for drinks and snacks, would highly recommend the Smoked Mackerel, it was the best dish we ate there.don't bother with the tuna belly, it's just a home made tuna can with a half a cup of chips.

Heavily overpriced and overstaffed! We were there on a Sunday evening just for a drink. They gave us menus and within one minute literally four different waiters came to "force" us to place our order. I did not feel comfortable at all. This kept on going while we had our drinks. I have never felt so watched in my life before. Prices are pretty high. The beer that was on special was only $15. The waitress told that it is a 700ml. It came as 500ml. Other beers were $28. There is definetly nicer and more affordable places around.

It was standing, so I was worried about being standing all the way. But it was delicious and the atmosphere was good and I enjoyed it.

Great ambiance - the set up of this tapas bar is perfect to stop by with a group of friends or even a first date. The set up is all standing with a few stools here and there.

The atmosphere is very good. The organic shapes of the interior design reminds of Barcelona. I would however suggest that you don't go there if you are hungry. The tapas are very good but small and not cheap. Having a full meal there would be hard on your wallet.

Best tapas bar in town! Me and my wife have been coming back for the past 3 years and never been disappointed. Great atmosphere and customer service! You might have to stand up and eat or wait to get in, but in the end the overall experience is definitely worth it!!

This is rated one of the best bars in Canada and that rating is accurate. Amazing Spanish tapas style food. The canned mackerel and the fried eggplant are very delicious. The decor is beautiful and while I can understand the intention the bar stools defiantly could be more comfortable (or even just getting more of them as you are often left with standing room only.

Their drink and food menu and choices are quite an art - one of a kind. Beautifully plated, and deliciously different, definitely a one of a kind gem in Toronto.

The drinks list is incredible and all the food is delicious. I love the stracciatella, the razor clams, and the croquetas.

Good vibe and setting but price... tapas are at most 3 euro in Spain... that's less than 5 CAD.
I understand the cost of living difference but still... it leaves a sour taste.

Went back to Bar Raval today (first time since COVID started) and had an excellent experience. The food and drink were superb, like always. The patio seating is well spaced and the entire team is wearing masks. If you're a bit nervous about returning to dining out, this would be a good place to start.

Love the food and the atmosphere. Great place to hang out for the night.
