We were there for breakfast /brunch. It's a beautiful bar, really nice ambience. The staff is super nice as well. The latte is amazing. Really strong expresso, like you get in Spain. They have a collection of small plates and pastries. I recommend the tomato toast, the cod tortilla, and the creme catalana donut. But all the food we tried is good. I maybe wouldn't go for dinner, you would rack up quite a bill before you're full.

UPDATE: Somewhat redeemed by the patio and food, where my first visit was only for drinks and only inside. The patio is very pleasant even if a bit busy on a summer afternoon. But it still doesn't quite hit it out of the park. My favourites were probably the simple but excellent ham and cheese pinxtos. The raw tuna conserva was good, but surprisingly a bit light on flavour. The chorizo con queso also fell short of expectation with the chorizo a bit more chewy and fatty than I had hoped.

Only came for drinks, which were very good, and comparable overall to many of the other higher end cocktail bars in the city--Cocktail Bar, Bar Chef, etc. Service was generally friendly, warm and helpful. Menu was quite sophisticated and well thought out with a range of creative cocktails, many with obscure liquors, liqueurs and flavour additions that would impress many a mixologist.

Very charming and inviting atmosphere with a warm and rich carved wood interior encapsulating guests. A key design feature which seems like it might have been better in theory than practice is that the space has no seating at all--standing room only. This could work quite well if you're at the bar or along the outside of the bar. I wasn't as lucky and found myself sharing an upright beer barrel (literally) with another couple which was just awkwardly low enough as to make it difficult to pick up and rest your drink. The standing room design also detracts somewhat from a sense of intimacy which you end up sharing more with fellow bar goers than with the company you came in with. The unstructured space caused me to feel like I was frequently getting in the way of servers or other guests. As a Spanish-styled bar and charcuterie, this may have be intended to be part of the charm, but I wasn't quite feeling it this particular evening.

I would like to try it again to experiment with more of their menu options, food especially, and possibly reassess my assessment.

Expect to be waitlisted most weekend nights.

This bar was absolutely fantastic. The drinks have so much care and thought put into them and it shows! Zena was amazing and recommended some great choices. The atmosphere is cozy and the interior is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Only my second visit to Toronto but was treated like a local by the staff and everyone I met there.
Great place to meet before dinner for a quick drink and an appy, incredible vibe comes right out the front door and onto the patio, really had a blast!

4/5. Cosy, warm food that is sure to delight your friends as you catchup over some drinks and quality tapas.
The spreadable sausage is a go-to, along with the octopus.
The only nice to have would be enough seats or standing room as it can get crowded very, very quickly. I'm sure in Summer the patio is awesome.

Absolutely brilliant tapas menu... possibly the best in the city. Amazing cocktails with a beautiful atmosphere with hand carved flowing wood everywhere. Servers are very hip and in the know. Can't wait to get back

Great atmosphere, nice location, funky staff, good tapas. Had a pilsner, spritzer, green peppers and tomato olive salad. A tomato in the salad still had a sticker on it!!! Waitress was understanding brought us a fresh one, and excusing both food items from bill. Green peppers in olive oil and salted, excellent!!

Good quality food and service. However they are jam-packed. If you don't go there early in the day you will be literally standing around with everyone else, with almost no space between you.

Bar raval is the one place I would take someone new to the area. The food took me instantly back to Barcelona, reminding me of meals spent with my brother who lived there and knew the best secret local spots. The design of the place is astoundingly elegant and super simple. Similar in size to 416 Snack Bar + the patio outside leaves lots of room for good banter and great wine. This is an experience best not missed.

Great ambiance, decor and selection of alcohol! It was our first time at this bar, and we've heard a lot about it, so we wanted to grab a drink and check it out. However, we ended up staying the entire evening because the atmosphere was so chilled and the crowd was a very good mix. Only tried two apps and we were totally blown away by the honey-eggplant, not what we expected but totally worth a try! Definitely coming back soon!

Amazing food. Amazing cocktails. Just walk in. No reservations. Absolutely divine tapas. Best is the Pintxos, 2 pieces (to share.) One bite of the pork shank and I knew I found a gem. Beautiful wooden bar. Awesome 70s classic rock playing. There's a reason this place is consistently in the top 10 restaurants in Canada.

We had a quick stop in on a Saturday night. There was a 30 min wait, but it was well worth it. The room is incredible. The snacks and quite good and reasonably priced.
Go early. The wait when we left was an 1 1/2 hours.

a beautiful interior of fine woodworking, this place is great any time of day - espresso and croissants in the AM, a glass of bubbly and a bite to eat at lunch, or a few cocktails and dinner with friends. there's just not a bad time to come to this place, and every time I go I'm glad I made time to do it.

I'm not a cocktail nerd, but I know a good drink. Everything was well balanced and the ice was perfect.

We also had some ham, cheese, bread and the hot (Galician-style) octopus. Don't skip on the latter. This place makes me miss Spain very very much.

My favourite tapas spot with fantastic craft cocktails. Stunning use of wood in the decor. The tomatoe bread is great as was the octopus and anything with anchovies. Bit pricey but very high quality and minute attention to detail

Supreme service, an eye-watering asthetic atmosphere in the form of never ending waves of never seen before supreme wood-working craftsmanship, and a full menu full of cocktails and food that (although I may have had a hard time pronouncing) my mouth couldn't help fall in love with. Needless to say, i don't make a lot of money, but the little money i do have, i would spend here as often as possible . Happy dining. Cheers

Drinks and food were very good! The waiting area is heated which is helpful when they get crowded on a chilly night!! The bartenders were very nice and helpful in picking out drinks. Wish they had some more seating, but other than that great experience!

Amazingly beautiful little bar. A little expensive but worth it. Tried Tomato Bread & Shishito Peppers & both the dishes were delicious. I had white wine, again, super good. My partner had a custom made drink based on the hard drink be prefers, & the flavors. He liked his drink too.

Beautiful interior but now just a pretentious spot (I miss the good old teatro days!); note how fast they move you along when you get in there; if you tell the bartender you're interested in something with (*pick a spirit) then specify "spirit forward" or not he will just make you something like I had (a mescal drink) and you'll realize by being "savvy" you got charged the premium rate 18 bucks. And really, the cocktail wasn't that good. You'll leave having consumed maybe 2 cocktails; 60 bucks later; not sure the point of the crazy markups. Is it because the bartenders are all just incredibly cool looking and totally not that interested in you because you have to impress them because they are covered in tatttoos and would really rather be doing something else with cooler more famous people ? ...

This place is really cool and offers really nice tapas and pinchos - much like the tapas bar I've been to in Spain. I really enjoy this whole bar experience where we literally have to scour the place to get a stool. The only complaint I have is that the staff is a little bit too attentive.

It was packed on a Thursday night and it was extremely hot. The place is far too small for the crowds that gather here. The Miss Primo and Canyonero however, were fantastic. That is what matters. Good drinks. It should be noted that this place is a little pricey for the kind of service you get. The tapas were good, although inspired by Catalan architecture, I found it trying a little too hard to make me feel like I was in Barcelona again.

Good place, good vibe, good music!!! Tapas, they were very good.
Good place to spend time and chat with friends or make new friends.
In spring and summer they have a patio, you can be here for hours just eating, some wine, some tapas, and the best company: my wife!!!
