This is the studio that myself and many friends of mine grew up studying at, and now we have all have gone into having professional careers in the Industry from national/international dance companies, Tours and Broadway. After 4 years of college where I took extensive pedagogy courses to learn about teaching classical dance techniques I can say that your child is getting the best quality training in Syracuse. I will always recommend this studio for anyone looking to take lessons!!
Excellent dance school. A superior ballet foundation is at B&D's core. And, they've taken that base to create incredible programs for jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theater, modern, hip hop, etc. Their highly skilled and engaged instructors use their experience from local, national touring, Broadway and international productions to give students high-caliber technique instruction, while instilling dedication, discipline, and enthusiasm for the art of dance. Students' overall health, well-being and life balance is emphasized and supported - they even have a registered dietitian to guide on proper nutrition.
With Ballet & Dance's own productions, or in collaboration with the Syracuse City Ballet, our kids have had the privilege of performing on professional stages in front of large crowds - giving them confidence and experiences they will carry forward in all aspects of their lives.
Lastly, the organization and communication of the administrative staff has been the backbone of the school for the past 2 years. They have kept students and parents engaged and informed even through COVID-19 hurdles and shut downs.

Growing up in Syracuse, Ballet & Dance gave me an amazing dance education. It allowed me to become a professional dancer with several companies in the US and Europe. The teachers, training, and students are what help make it a vibrant arts hub for CNY. I feel so grateful for all of the beautiful friendships I've made because of B&D. Our daughter dances here. We love the professionalism of the instructors, robust class schedule, and committment to the art of dance. The studio itself is clean, and COVID precautions were clear and thorough. The staff communicate with parents regularly so we always know what's going on.
