My mom was not cared for well at this facility. While there, she returned to the hospital due to a nurse botching an important milestone in her care. Another time a nurse directly disregarded a direct order from me regarding my mom's diabetes. It resulted in my mom going severely hypoglycemic, the lowest blood sugar drop she has ever seen. Terrible place and you pay a fortune!
I am honestly in awe how out of compliance this facility is. Imposing horrible infection control risks and neglect. I recently went to visit a family member and none of the nursing staff were wearing masks or any form of PPE. This is unacceptable, and totally out of compliance, a major infection control tag. Call light response time is well around 45mins to an hour. Staff will often times not order food for my family member and if they do, they will just order for them, without asking or providing any options or preference. Also, staff refuse to assist with any feeding or meal assistance. They will let the meals sit untouched, and often times not even within reach, for hours. Many times lunch or breakfast was still be in the room, when we came to visit around dinner time. Staff also used the commode as trashcan, and instead let family member sit in urine and BM, because it takes too much effort to toilet this member with the lift. If member was toileted, they would leave them on the toilet for 45 mins to a hour alone, even though this member is a extremely high fall risk and has already sustained multiple skin tears and head wounds from these falls. Never checked my family members oxygen or pulse ox. Many times their oxygen was off and pulse ox was in the 70s. No oral care is provided, family members teeth are never brushed. Nails are not cut and staff said they can t cut finger nails, even though they are not diabetic. No one ever wants to put their loved one in a facility, but it is so discouraging and disheartening when you put trust in a place to provide care for your loved one, and they are in return neglected and disregarded.
My grandparents are both here at the moment and are in the transitioning of passing. They have been neglected. If you push the button the nurses take an hour to come and I have already tried to help my grandma with the bathroom and she didn t make it cuz they took too long. They don t seem passionate at all for the elder there. It s just a job to them. I truly believe if my grandparents were not at this facility, they would be living longer. They don t attend to their needs not even a little. I would never bring my own parents here. So so sad of the conditions I have seen here. HIGHLY don t recommend
