What a fantastic place to see visit and to watch the race. We had seats in the grandstand in the old town. It was not the easiest to get to but we had a great view. The toilets were not the best at our grandstand and on race day only one was open which meant long queues. Fantastic restaurants, pubs etc highly recommend the Shakespeare for a bit of late night rock and roll .We only went to the concert on the first night. It's a long walk from the bus drop into the crystal hall then no seats for F1 4day ticket holders. Even tho lots of seats available, A pain after a long day at the track. Taxi drivers consistently tried to overcharge. 50 manat for a 5 manat journey. Stick to the buses. Such a wonderful city with plenty to see . We used the funicular to get down to the track. .

I visited a few months after the 2017 race. They actually do a pretty good job cleaning it all up but you can still see parts like the kerbs and of course the start finish straight. If you like F1 like I do it's cool to walk around it.
