Ordered a steak--which was good--but the waiter assumed without asking that I wanted the larger, more expensive portion which made for a nice $20 surprise on the bill. When I brought this to management's attention to correct, they commented "you must not be from around here."

Sat on the patio and had a wonderful evening with my wife. Had oysters raw as well as Rockefeller, large Chesapeake Bay, very tasty. She had the tuna sashimi and I had a Corvina with a soy teriyaki sauce both were outstanding. Service was excellent and would recommend going here to anyone.
This is the first time I got the ribs sandwich from them and it was super greasy and the sandwiche has just a little bit of meat almost nothing, I love the restaurant but don't not try to get sandwiches from there get something els you will be happy,
First time coming to Baker Street as am not from around the area. Took me and my son to dinner on a Thursday night. The atmosphere was great. Shanell was my server and did an outstanding job. Highly recommend her service to anyone.
Great food, wonderful service, but tables were TOO CLOSE to each other. It was loud because there were so many tables. We couldn t hear the people at our own table talk. Patrons couldn t get thru chairs to go the restroom, servers couldn t walk down the middle aisle. Great food, but atmosphere not so much!
Excellent fine dining experience on a very busy New Years Eve. Our food was a solid 4.5 on a 5 point scale. Our service was 5.5 on a 5 point scale. Clint, our server, was tremendous!
OMG!!! Can't say enough about the friendly staff. The hostesses were amazing, super efficent with seating options and providing a timeline for dinner. We tried the crab dip as our appetizer and loved it. Dinner was okay, steaks were mediocrilly prepared. Throughly enjoyed the bottle wine selection. Will visit again soon.
I am a very picky and the menu contains things I would not normally eat. Thankfully anything can be removed from the food. Food was very good and the service was polite and helpful
It was very good the butternut squash pasta was amazing and the wedding soup was so yummy the filet melts in your mouth and the cream bulee was a perfect ending
Still a local favorite. The rib roast sandwich for lunch is spot on. The lunch special salmon with risotto was delightful and filling. The cuban sandwich is tasty, moist and full of flavor. The brown a la mode is sense, rich and full of warmth. The service was a little slow and it was quite cold in the establishment but all over not a bad experience for a local favorite. They never fail to deliver the best food experience.
AMAZING FOOD! A little pricy but well worth it. Great waiting staff that know their menu well. This spot can impress even the most discerning food critic.
Very overpriced but incredibly delicious. Cuban was nothing to write home about, but the smokehouse chicken sandwich and onion rings were phenomenal, as was the pretzel bread!
My wife and I visited here for the first time to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with dinner. We hoped for a special experience and we weren't disappointed. The food was perfect; seasoned very well, and the waiter was spot on.
Today is our wedding anniversary! We decided to try Bakerstreet yesterday for brunch as an early way to celebrate. We were so impressed. Our waiter Brad took really good care of us and was very knowledgeable with the menu. My husband had the steakhouse burger and I had the calamari and prime rib monte Cristo. Everything was so good,we decided that we will go back again today instead of going to Ruth Chris like we had originally planned!! I can t wait. EDITED UPDATE: as previously stated we did go back for our anniversary dinner. The food was great, there was a special table and roses set up at my husbands request. Dinner like this was a SPLURGE. What we spent that night equates to a week's worth of groceries for our family of four. Imagine my reaction when I hear that one of the owners called a mutual family friend to see if we enjoyed our meal and to discuss the AMOUNT OF OUR TIP??? As much as I loved the food I can t go back. If you have a desire to know if we liked the food you could have just called US. After all, you have our credit card info, phone number etc. This really just crossed the line for me. Wishing we had went elsewhere. Changing my rating from 5 stars to 2
I heard as of recently that Baker Street made it onto a top 100 list of most romantic restaurants in the country. I can certainly see why. They have a very large wine selection, and very beautifully made dishes. Not to mention the scenery is gorgeous. I went on my first date with someone very special at Baker Street, and a year later since that date, I was proposed to at Baker Street on that anniversary date. Everything tasted great, the escargot is lovely. They even gave us a free dessert for our anniversary. We will be coming again for sure!
Fun cocktails, yummy appetizers, mouthwatering steaks and sides, even sweet endings! Kat was so entertaining and really helped us to celebrate our evening!!
Pretty decent location. Service was fast, maybe a bit too fast as the waitress came back pretty quickly but that's not really something to complain about.
Crab cakes where excellent. However in my opinion if you have a steak salad with potato's and asparagus you should have those items warm not cold. Hubby was not happy with his salad. Service was great. Took a little long for the food for not being busy.
This was our first visit More than met our expectations. Liz, our waitress, was amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu. The smoked gouda crab dip was out of this world!!! The prime rib was melt in your mouth and the creamy horseradish sauce that was served along side it needs to be bottled and sold in stores. This is an upscale restaurant, so it's a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. It's phenomenal and nice portion sizes. I'd give it a 10, if that was an option on here.
Absolutely awesome and classy place. We took our son in and they were super patient with us and him. Highly recommend this place, we ate some food that was out of our comfort zone and it was amazing.
Baker Street is the best restaurant in Fort Wayne: you will enjoy yourself. Every experience I ve had has been blissful and delightful. The atmosphere is romantic, clean and Relaxing; the employees are knowledgeable, kind and respectful, well trained. One visit and you are motivated to return! The food is just as advertised very lovely indeed. Thanks for such a lovely experience!
Everything was good from the start to end. Had a reservation for 7 pm and got right in as soon as we got there. The food was very delicious, well worth the price we paid on everything. Janea, our waitress, was the absolute best. She was informative, respectful, and attentive. Even the other employees were nice as well; one of which dropped off our salads and the other simply picking up plates on his way through. Nice place overall for sure, definitely did not disappoint for the first time being there.
We came here for an anniversary dinner and it was amazing. Our waitress, Mandy, was wonderful - we could not have had better service. A truly memorable evening.
I was sure looking forward to a good experience and great food after a long day a work. I called about 6:30 to reserve a for 1 in the dining room and was told 9:30pm was the earliest I could be seated. However about 8:15 I was called and informed my table was ready. I rushed to get dressed grabbed and Uber. When I arrived I was shocked to be seated in the bar area, which I don t like because I tend to be neglected. Unfortunately that stood true here a Baker Street. My server was great, prompt with a great attitude. I ordered a salad and a single crab cake as a starter. The salad came out quick however no crab cake I was told it was right behind the salad. 20 minutes later my ribeye and sides show up all crammed together on one small plate. Steak was cook good and tasted good but hey still no crab cake. Finally after talking with my server I told her my disappointment about not being seated in dining room, my starter not coming out correctly and the food looking thrown on a plate. She told me that yes today was not a good day for them and she was get a manager. This manager had been at one table for the entire meal talking and trying to sale a bottle of wine. Finally my server got his attention took him to the back and he came to my table with my crazy ale about halfway through my steak. It was hot but dry it tasted rushed and not great. I have two bites. I tired to explain everything to him but he acted like it was my fault I wasn t seated in the dining room, well I called ahead and told them I was willing to wait about 3 hours but I guess that wasn t enough. When you spend $100.00 on a meal for a single person you expect to have great service, with everything put together or at least fixed in a timely manner or at least an apology. This manager made me feel it was my fault and the only issue was the crab cake. Unfortunately that not the case. This establishment need help in a lot of areas especially in at the kitchen pass and the managerial department. Highly disappointed and I will not be back.
We had reservations for 6. Although it wasn't crowded, we were placed back to back with another table. The tables were too close together and we kept getting bumped by staff and other customers. The drinks and food were excellent.
Baker Street is a hit or miss, depending who's cooking. Service is always great and the manager is wonderful. Went back in December for a Holiday dinner and our meal was fantastic, couldn't eat enough of it. Have went a few times throughout 2017-2018 and the food was bland and just not appetizing. We went the other night, I asked the chef to make a vegetarian dish, whatever he/she wanted to cook up. I ended up with a bowl of rice and cooked peppers with little to no flavor costing $18... Spring rolls were amazing as usual though. Like I said, hit or miss. Will probably go back again for the Holidays but that's probably it.
Service was great and that s about the only good thing I can say about the place. Our food was terrible it was incredibly salty to the point we couldn t finish it. I was shocked at how much they were charging for the quality of food. The rooms are all very loud and the tables are too small for how many plates they bring out at one time.
Delicious food! It is a little pricey, but I really enjoyed the French onion soup. I ordered the orange chicken with coconut risotto. It was an interesting take on orange chicken, but was just alright. Meal was good, but I would try another meat option next time. My husband did get the filet medallions and he really enjoyed it! It was very tasty.
I've eaten here many times in the last five to 7 years, mostly at lunch time and occasionally for dinner. They've always had something unique about every dish that made it just a little bit more special. When they switched the owners the timeliness and quality of the service fell off a little bit and we strayed away from going there at lunch time because it just plain took too long even when they were not busy. But this last time we went for lunch they had more people than usual dining and service was wonderful And Timely enough and the food was wonderful. I will say the wait staff has always been tremendous and I hope the restaurant keeps up their commitment to excellent service as a whole.
