Great track and facilities. It's usually busy from around 18:30 during the week, which is a good for racing. The staff are nice and helpful and professional training can be bought. This training is well worth while and will make you faster and safer. Prices are also reasonable, two 15 minute sessions in a 13 hp kart (RT 8) for 27 BD, includes: overalls, helmet and gloves. Enjoy

Excellent go karting place. Had a really memorable experience there. Must visit if you are in bahrain. Good safety measures and very organised system. A bit expensive but worth every cent of the money spent on it. Do remember to wear closed shoes and not sandles.

Genuinely one of the best tracks to drive on in the world, amazing corners and fantastically managed. We have had events in BIC for the past 14 years and they have an amazing staff who have made every event nothing short of great and continue to support us.
The Track is very well maintained and they always ask us for feedback. They have their own fuel station which is maintained and active.
The Track itself is very well designed for powerful cars as well as track oriented cars with amazing run offs. The amount of safety margins that is calculated into the track is great and the Marshalls on the track are on point.

The Bahrain International Circuit (Arabic: ...
The Bahrain International Circuit (Arabic: ) is a motorsport venue opened in 2004 and used for drag racing, GP2 Series and the annual Bahrain Grand Prix. The 2004 Grand Prix was the first held in the Middle East. Beginning in 2006, Australian V8 Supercars raced at the BIC, with the event known as the Desert 400. However, the V8 Supercars did not return for the 2011 V8 Supercar season. 24 Hour endurance races are also hosted at BIC.The circuit has a FIA Grade 1 license.
The construction of the Bahrain circuit was a national objective for Bahrain, initiated by the Crown Prince, Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Crown Prince is the Honorary President of the Bahrain Motor Federation. TRL was asked to build the circuit, headed by Patrick Brogan.
Race organizers were worried that the circuit would not be complete in time for the 2004 Bahrain Grand Prix and attempted to cancel the event; however, Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone refused this request. In the end, the circuit was not quite fully complete, but was good enough for the grand prix to go ahead.
After the 2004 race and ahead of the 2005 race the track was realigned at turn four, decreasing the circuit's overall length by 5 metres.
In 2007 the circuit became the first Grand Prix circuit to be awarded the distinguished FIA Institute Centre of Excellence award, given for excellent safety, race marshal, and medical facilities, and for the high standards of technology required to maintain these.
At the 2009 Grand Prix, BIC announced a collaboration with @bahrain to develop land next to the circuit. @bahrain is part of the Mumtalakat group of companies. @bahrain will dedicate more than 1 million square meters of business, entertainment and educational space with a value in excess of US$2bn (BHD 850million), making it one of the largest investment projects to take place in Bahrain in the past five years.
In 2011 the circuit was scheduled to be the first GP of the season. However, due to civil unrest in the country the race had to be cancelled in March 2011. On early June the FIA announced that the race would be scheduled for 30 October, the original slot for the inaugural Indian GP, which would be shifted to a season-closing date on 11 December. However, two days later following concerns from teams and other officials, the race organizers officially cancelled the race, choosing to focus their attention on the 2012 running. The 2012 Formula One calendar had the race scheduled for 22 April, the fourth of the season.

The only local track, there is no comparison to it, that being said, it's still a great place for gear heads like me, been going there for Dragnights since the beginning, and recently been to the open track day, I just hope they would offer for less price, the open day session is quite expensive at the time

I haven't ever attended a F1 event before so I don't have experience from other event. However, this one was really impressive. From my perspective it was really very well organized. There are busses from Manama to and from the event. There were loads of taxis after the races and the traffic police did a wonderful job to accommodate the thousands of cars leaving the venue. The venue was extremely clean, there were many kiosk/shops to buy original merchandise, food and beverages and the toilets were very clean. The race was impressive and the fireworks at the end were spectacular. After leaving 6 years in the Middle East I am very happy that I finally managed to attend

I went here to see the formula 1. I was immediately dismayed at how strict and uncharitable the track staff are. Spectators are only allowed to view the track from the grandstand they have tickets for, all other ways of viewing the track are blocked off, and tickets are very strictly checked upon entering a grandstand, even on practice days. This is not normal for anyone accustomed to attending European races, and anyone expecting any different will be very disappointed, just like I was.
I was hoping to get photos of the cards from a variety of different vantage points over the weekend, but was unable to do so, as even the views from the fences around the track were blocked off.
I won't be returning to Bahrain, I'll save my money for Silverstone or somewhere similar, where I can wander around the track perimeter looking for a good vantage point, without being hassled by track staff.
