It is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bahrain, one of the commercial and industrial chambers leader in the region, where work began in 1939.

Membership is open to everyone in all business sectors registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry or as it is called (the House of Traders) is the representative body for merchants at the official authorities, it is the official interface for the private sector for trade in Bahrain, and in the Arab and international representations for intra-trade between Bahrain and the world.
In 1939 AD, the first Chamber of Commerce in the Arab Gulf region was established in Bahrain, named after the General Traders Association, and it remained known by this name until 1945, when it was named (Bahrain Chamber of Commerce), then it became officially known as (Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry) since 1967 and launched It has the second name (House of Traders). The current new building was inaugurated on Tuesday 28 April 2009.
It has an elected board of directors whose members are elected every four years by direct secret ballot, and every trader or practitioner of trade and who has a commercial register (license to do business) issued by the official authority, which is the Ministry of Commerce, has the right to run and be elected.
The Traders House plays a prominent role in raising the economy of Bahrain and feeding the local markets with all the living requirements of citizens and residents, along with the Ministry of Commerce.
