This place has a really long wait, but definitely worth it. The prices are good too and they really pay attention to detail. Waffles were DELICIOUS!

service is friendly, food is good and atmosphere is great. i recommend the French toast. i had it without whip cream and syrup, and it was still very sweet! that's what i like
They have a bit of a wait but that's always a good sign for a restaurant. I had the sausage sandwich with gravy. It was amazing. They have fresh orange juice and apple juice as well. They were fast was very friendly and our food came out in under 10 minutes once ordered. I would highly recommend this place as long as you aren't on a diet
I wanted breakfast, and this place came up in a search, and I thought I'd give it a try... and I'm glad I did! The Pear & Pecan French Toast was delectable (if you like rich sweet things, which I do), and the side of potatoes I added were... crisp, tender, and delicious! Best breakfast potatoes I've had in a while. Would recommend!
Well we had been to their old location where it felt quaint and warm, and the new location feels like a cheep copy of the former. The wait was very long and only judging by the amount of people who chose not to endure I would say it was too long. Once we made it inside the first word that comes to mind is... Loud. Very loud. The service was prompt and attentive, probably the best part of our visit. The food was quick, but forgettable, Wich makes me wonder about the wait.
It was a special day for us, but turned into a mess having my daughter's sixteenth birthday brunch be a total low point of the day. We will not be back, and will choose one of the other amazing restaurants in the area.
Fist time being here with my son. Food and staff were great. Chicken and waffles amazing :)
Excellent food, service and environment. One of the best breakfast spots hands down.
What can I say that hasn't already been said? It's ever growing in pallet pleasure, ambiance and exceptional service keep me first in line for Bacon & Butter.
Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Very big portions and good prices. But it does get very packed and busy so I always go early. But its definitely worth waiting for.
Love Bacon & Butter and food is superb but would not recommend takeout during COVID. They don't open until 9 and then get so many orders that the crowd descends at 9:45 like the website directs but it's another hour before you get your cold food. I'll be back, but not for takeout - the system is just not organized enough for their level of popularity. Maybe it would be better on a weekday
I thought the food and coffee was amazing! I don't live in the area, but I will make it a point to stop by whenever in town.
Had the avocado toast and it was delicious! Cant wait to come back !
Delicious. The name says it all. Who doesn't love those two things? If you don't, this is probably the wrong review and the wrong restaurant for you!
Awwww yeah... You gotta try this place. Food was awesome and service was great. Everything we ordered was good...I know because I ate off everybody plate.. ..lol. One thing to note... The dishes are very pricey.
...such a nice little place and a good value. I had the orange doughnut that was unique and tasty. I also had a pancake that came with diced fruit and butter as well as perfectly cooked bacon. The presentation is very country and felt great to kick off a day. It got full and was busy right after 10am with a few large parties. The team members at the counter were all nice. The check presentation was fun in a book that had comments and notes scribbled throughout. ;)
Decent food, though the sausage they sell is pretty bland and is need of spice and a bit of a kick. The wait is long so be prepared to wait.
Supper yummy eggs and bakey.
Try the grilled cheese Bebees.
Long wait but the food was very tasty. Good variety for hair of the dog
I rarely get to Sacramento, but they have a killer breakfast that's worth the commute. Dishes are beautifully composed with generous portions. I've ordered simple dishes (breakfast burrito, sausage sandwich), but they were fantastic. They do get busy, but turn around quickly.
Everything is amazing...you really can't go wrong here
The breakfast they killed it. It's was Awesome. I'll go there again when I'm in Sacramento.
Breakfast burrito to die for! Always busy but the. staff is super friendly and the wait is worth it!!
Good selection of food. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.
This place is amazing. The wait wasn't too long and we went during brunch on a Sunday. The chicken & waffles were awesome. The waitress we had was really friendly and helpful. Had a carafe of their guavosa instead of the usual mimosa and it was great. One of the best brunch places I've been to
Best brunch in Sacramento. Have the Grilled Cheese Benedict, and you will never forget it. The line is long so plan for a wait. A long wait. And I promise you it will be worth said wait. Oh and grab yourself a bloody Mary with that meal. Enjoy!
They made me pay I was going to leave and not pay because I am useless but they made me realize I will die someday and my spirits lifted.
Fried green tomato Bennie is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten! So full of flavor. Get it with the side a fruit for a minute x of fresh local fruit. Yumm
Great food, get there with patience cause there's always a line.
Pretty good food, very expensive, very nice atmosphere, great service
Was worth the 20 m wait, the portions are huge. Next time I ll split something with my BF.
Wait was not long, service was fast, flapjacks were delish!
Be prepared for a very long wait, make sure you snack on something ahead of time, we where told 30 mintues and ended up waiting an hour an 10 mintues, not a huge deal but, when it comes to timing over estimates are beter then under, once seated, service was beyond fast and there where plenty or spots?? Not sure why? Bartender was great and food was okay, portion size was great ordered the grilled cheese benedict.
Bacon & Butter let's nothing get in the way of their style and brand. Not even their drastically sub-par $5.50 (for 3 small pieces) bacon. It seems like they care deeply about convincing you they are "farm to table" not by having exceptionally convincing ingredients, but by abiding by that vibe's genre of exposed beamed ceilings and beds of fresh arugula as garnish. I wasn't exceptionally disappointed, but nor was I impressed by a wait staff that insisted my fridge-chilled bacon just "cools down quickly," sorry sir, I'm not going to pay 5.50 for a (tiny) side of (itty bitty) bacon that was cooked 15 minutes ago.
Such a different variety of food, hard to choose. Great service. Worth the wait
I've been here twice, had breakfast and lunch. Burger is a standout. Service is friendly and helpful. Get there early, wait can get long.
If I could give no starts I would. The name of the restaurant is "Bacon and Butter". This means bacon should be the highlight. The mushrooms and cheddar cheese were very tasty. I would never come back.
I order to go. Got all the way home and the bacon was not in the order. I paid 6.00 for a side of it. The gravy was bland and nothing had even a grain of salt. Am I wrong to expect a little salt?
First day visiting Sacramento and decided to give this place a try. The food was amazing and service was good. I had the sausage biscuit sandwich and my wife had the grilled cheese Benedict. Suggest getting there early for breakfast as there was a queue an hour after they opened

I heard so many good things about this place so decided to try it out on a Thursday morning. There was no line, staff was friendly but the coffee and food was very disappointing. I'm glad I didnt wait in a line for that.
Special place having that species magic. Pricey but fun unique good food. Friendly people. Long lines! Clean bathrooms, Congress across as sustainable. Cool experience.
I've eaten here a few times and have not been disappointed. Their grilled cheese eggs Benedict is genius and delicious. It's a little pricey to eat here, but the quality of food is high. Worth it.
Amazing food and service. Their Grilled cheese Benedict was delicious, the peaches and cream french toast wasn't too sweet and the waitress was very attentive.
I recomend this place if you dont mind waiting about 30-45 min for a table on the weekends.
Wow, where do I start? We are newish to the area and thought the Waffle experience was an amazing brunch spot. Well le me tell you something. This place has more character, more life, and the food is just better. I don't think I'll go back the the W. B&B, keep pouring love in to what you guys do, stay cool, and don't change a thing! We loved it here and will be back with friends and family.
Didntbfet to eat here, giving the three stars mostly for the popularity of the place. Wait was around 2 hours. My family and I couldn't wait that long. Want to go back and try again.
Amazing breakfast joint, be sure to get in early as it is popular and if you get in late, it may be a while before you are sat. The kitchen sink is what I ordered and it was magnificent. Potatoes were perfectly done, and mixing it all together was heaven. Also got an Irish cream coffee, and was not disappointed in that either. Would recommend to anyone wanting a fantastic breakfast experience.
Honestly freaking amazing. If you haven't had a chance to tcheck this place out, you're missing out. Staff is great, the decor is freaking cool and the food is orgasmic.
The food was excellent. The coffee was fantastic and frequently topped off. The wait was long on a Sunday morning, but totally worth it. I got the kitchen sink it was very good. Friends got the biscuit sandwich and the cinnamon roll and both said they were amazing.
One of the best breakfast meals I've had period. Their ingredients are superior in freshness and quality and there is obviously real love going into each dish sent out of the kitchen. The service was excellent! I also really enjoyed the cozy, trendy and diverse vibe. I will be back as soon and often as possible.
Absolutely delicious! There can be long lines though.
Bacon & butter ! the 2 things most necessary for life & damn they do it right ! very very delicious! #foodie @stephaniieemariie
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Can't wait to go back and try something else off the menu
Best breakfast place in Sacramento hands down!!!! Make sure to arrive an hour early. I've never been here without having to wait in line, but well worth it
Great comfort food and a very friendly staff. As the name implies the food is not particularly healthy but it sure tastes great. I would go back but not very often.
I got the Kitchen sink and it was DELICIOUS! With a side of pancakes! Whoah! (Rick Flare)
My preferred spot for quality brunch. Service is awesome even when they are busy. The staff was very welcoming and observant. I see why this place has so many great reviews.
best brunch in Sacramento if you dont mind a long wait. this place is always packed! very unique culinary spin on standard breakfast staples and a few completely unique items you will only find here, like the avocado toast pictured below. delicious!
Biscuits and gravy are good. Eggs benidict are good too. . . Skeet skeet, good ; - ) coffee is on point. babe.
Very Good the prices are reasonable love the music
Very fresh delicious food, amazing flavors, Exceptional customer service, Modern decor, lively diverse , extremely clean restaurant / bathroom wow, eco-friendly disposable take out
Chicken and Waffles in a mandarin orange syrup with a cup of coffee made my day. Hit the gym before or after going here to minimize guilt after eating such amazing food.
I always end up here on Sundays and it is always busy. Excellent food, everything I have tried has been tasty. The flapjacks are surreal!
Wow! This place is amazing. The food is excellent. The two things we got were not only delicious but looked amazing as well. Giant portions and came out quickly. All the food we saw being delivered to other tables looked amazing as well. Restaurant has a long wait to get in. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a couple spots at the bar, which they said would be quicker than a table. We got in before a lot of people that had gotten there before us. Staff is friendly and they keep the place pretty clean. Food is a bit expensive but is worth it. Can t really go wrong with what to order but I recommend the eggs Benedict sandwich.
I would put on clothes and leave my house for this food. If that doesnt sum it up in 2018 idk what does. Chicken and waffles anyday.
Great hole in the wall place for breakfast and brunch! Everything was really fresh and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Good service too!
WORTH THE WAIT!!! One of the best breakfasts I ve ever had in all honesty. Waiter was awesome, unfortunately I don t remember his name. Will be back!
When a place is called "Bacon & Butter," you have to go and just try it out. Found this place doing a Google Search for lunch and pretty much hit the jackpot in terms of finding an awesome cooked-to-ordered breakfast, lunch, brunch place. Our group tried out all three meal categories (flap jacks with eggs and bacon, 4 Grilled Cheese Benedict and B&B burger) for a Friday late lunch and had to be sure we got our bacon and butter fix. Bacon & Butter delivered and then some. Portions were big. Food was rich and tasty. Our table loved the fried finger potatoes! Don't come here if you are on a diet. This place can easily compete with any of the great farm-to-table breakfast brunch places in the SF Bay Area.
The restaurant has a hipster country farm feel. Extensive wine, cocktail and beer menu. Unfortunately we were so full we didn't have enough room to share a dessert. There was one, of course, that had bacon and chocolate we were planning to order. Well, there is always a next time!
Very long wait (1 1/2 hours) but great food, friendly service. Wish they took reservations!
This place is outstanding. You may have to wait 30+ minutes but the wait was worth it. I got Eggs Benedict and was great. I would recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go back.
Bit of a wait, but totally worth it. Great selection of interesting and pretty unique breakfast fare. Don't miss out on the bacon, order a side on its own.
Bacon & Butter exemplifies the lesson that patience pays off, in that sometimes it can be a bit of wait to obtain good food; waited about 40 minutes on a Saturday at noon for a table for two. I tried the Avocado Toast and Peaches & Cream French Toast. Both items were good, but the French Toast was by far my favorite of the two items (note that I have a sweet tooth though). I would say the portions are decent, but a bit on the smaller side, especially when taking into consideration the price. However, the taste and quality of the food was well worth it. Service was very welcoming and friendly. They bring out your bill inside an actual book, which I found to be a different and unexpected touch. Never in my life have a had my bill arrive and think, "Oh wow, that's kind of neat". I do regret was not trying one of their drinks with sparkling wine, but something to look forward to for next time. I shall return.
I try something new every visit, never been disappointed! Smoked ham hocks and asparagus with poached eggs! WOW
I had the breakfast biscuit and it was AMAZING! I've never tasted anything like it before. The service was friendly and very helpful. I can see why there is usually a line to get in. DELICIOUS!!
Food was okay don't understand why people would wait 45 minutes to an hour to get in!
Really yummy. Arrive fifteen minutes before it opens so that you can get a table right when it opens. Otherwise, you have to wait until the first round of people finishes eating.
Came here for the breakfast because of high rating. And honestly, I would put 10 stars! Love the interior, delicious food, and very sweet stuff. Thank you! Highly recommend
Food was dry and gross. Service was slow and staff were rude. My family and friends will never return.
this place is amazing every time me and my girlfriend come here we have a wonderful experience. The staff is very bright and friendly the menu is very delicious and changes often. There is always a pretty long wait no matter what time of day or day of the week you go but it is well worth the wait.
Dear lord this place is amazing.
My girlfriend had told me about this spot a few times before and I just kind of scoffed at it like yeah right, probably just some new spot all the hipsters are raving about now. Well, we finally went for brunch and I gave their peaches and cream french toast a shot and dear lawd let me tell you completely honestly I have NEVER experienced a breakfast this tasty, delicious, and scrumdiddlyumtious. With every bite I wanted to find the person who made it and give them all my money while crying on my knees because of the high I had experienced having been taken to flavortown and back.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
We were willing to wait an hour because they were so highly rated. So excited to be seated only to be extremely disappointed. I'm not a picky eater but after a little while I just could not continue eating my meal. I got the bisquit in gravy and sadly is was not tasty. Very disappointed and will not come back. Plus, there was a piece of hair in my friend's plate. It looked like he just pulled out the hair and returned the plate. Ugh
Amazing food, I love finding places with good unique creations. We definitely will be back again and again. Our Bar tender/server @Baconbarguy was the man.
Wow, tasty large portions, clean, family oriented, with great staff. Expected long wait on the weekends, but it is worth it! Must have the bacon! Must have the brioche French toast!
Worth the wait. Also worth the calories.
I ordered a biscuit sandwich and it was massive! So savory, heavy and delicious! If you want to go into food coma shortly after eating, you should definitely get the biscuit sandwich.
The grilled cheese benedict and pear and pecan French toast was amazing
This place has a very hipster vibe, from the mason jars to the decor of the restaurant.
I had the grilled cheese eggs Benedict. It was huge! I was only able to finish one of them and had such food coma afterwards! It tasted good but was a bit too rich which might explain my immediate food coma.
The rose lemonade is so good though! I want more!! It's a must try!
Server was extremely nice and friendly. It was pretty crowded for a Friday brunch but it didn't take long for a seat by the counter. They change their menu changes every week which is unfortunate because I wanted to try something my friend had when he went a few weeks ago but couldn't because it wasn't on the menu anymore.
