I waited one and a half hour to get into Bacon and Butter. It was cold and it was raining. There was a long line ahead and I was underdressed. I kept mumbling to myself, "This better be worth it." By the time I got seated, I was freezing, grouchy, and starving. My cynical side had emerged and I was wondering if I have wasted a Saturday. My friends and I made our orders. I had the Pear and Pecan French toast with a side of sausage patty. With a fresh apple juice. When I took my first bite in, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. The food is amazing here. It's savory, sweet, salty, fluffy, fresh, and perfect. That one hour and a half in line faded away. I was feeling like sunshine again. It was absolutely everything the rumors about Bacon and Butter had said. It hits the spot in more ways than I can describe. It's wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

It's a pretty good breakfast spot. You can tell the food is good because the place is always packed. I had the Grilled Cheese Benedict and was quite satisfied with the flavors. Food was seasoned well and portion sizes were filling and not excessive. Overall, it's a really good choice if you'd like to have breakfast with your buddies.

For quite awhile now, we have heard such great reviews on this place and never stopped to check it out. Today was the day and we were not disappointed! Large portions, all served with every last detail taken care of.

Pretty good for a 55 minute wait. But a 55 minute wait gets no stars. Coffee bad. Pork n hash flavor profile good, but there was nothing here that resembled hash. Pan cake n egg cool, but what professional puts a cup of syrup on pancake n eggs. Syrup on the side bro. The nail in the coffin, 45 dollars all n all. Gonna pass.

I don't feel like the food lived up to the hype.. I have gone to Bacon & Butter over 5 times and our group has spent over $200 on breakfast each time... and guess what? I'll go again to be very honest. The wait is crazy tho. The staff is totally awesome. However the owner... He has a great back story single dad and so on. But he can be rude our order was misplaced it should have been a "Small or single serving of Poached eggs with toast" well the server brought out a "Large or family size" So he come over & before it touched. "I was like this is the wrong size & and" He stops me mid sentence " Well that's a lot of food and ur not going to get it for free"... All I could say was "Excuse me"?? No one was asking for anything thing for free.. So after our party eats & pays leave a very nice tip.. Guess who has to come out with egg on his face.. You guessed it.. I have not been back since this.. I can spend over $200 on breakfast elsewhere & not be verbally attached

This gem of a place was awesome! They typically have a pretty long line to get in which just goes to underline how awesome they are. I'm not sure if they take reservations or not but it would be worth checking into if you plan on coming here to try to get a reservation.

I personally liked the many potatoes that came with my main dish. I'll be taking my family here some point.

Consistant quality food with a creative menu that changes during the season. Ive been eating here about one to two times a week for the past year. I've only ever asked to have something comped on one occasion, and it was a way under-ripe avocado that I ordered on the side, no big deal.

Prepare for about a 45 min wait on weekends, but the food comes quick once you order. You can always get take out if you don't want to wait.

Really good food, but small portions. Love the service and the vibe, but hate the long wait time. Nice to see the coffee shop in the back alley, but who wants to spend extra money. All in all--always a pleasant experience.

I've heard this place served decadent rich food and a long wait was to be expected. Added bonus was a sizable parking lot with quite a number of slots. We lucked out and didn't have to wait. We ordered chicken and waffles, biscuits and country gravy, the kitchen sink, full flapjacks, butternut squash and cheese omelette. Everything was great except for the omelettes. There was hardly any squash or cheese. But there was a whole lot of eggs. Overall, a great experience. Food, ambiance, service..

Not quite as good as a Crunch Wrap Supreme from Taco Bell, but it was still pretty good. We had the Grilled Cheese Benedict and the Brussels & Ham Hocks. They were beautiful, tasty, and the service was great. However, they were not served with a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito & Cinnamon Twists as is standard at Taco Bell.

The Asparagus and Hamhock plate is da bomb! Everything on that plate complimented each other. From the asparagus and hamhocks to the arugula salad and poached eggs. Truly overexceeded my expectations.

My brother in law and I picked this place cause it was open and near our location.
We had the chicken and waffles. Outstanding breakfast. The use of small chicken breast is smart and a clean way to enjoy a other wise messy meal. Waffles was very fluffy and moist, the chicken was tender and we'll season. The service was outstanding as well. Whenever I'm in this part of Sacramento I will be visiting here . By the way I'm not a pork eater and I found items on the menu for me.

So so sooooo delicious! Best breakfast in Sacramento and hands down the most amazing buttermilk pancakes ever. And the thick cut bacon is of superb quality - 6 of us couldn't finish the platter. Gonna try the Kitchen Sink next time. Only wish they had more tables for parties of more than 4

if you are reading this then I'm doubting your intelligence. You should have been already on the way here when you read the name. However if you need a little help deciding, the answer is yes go here and partake of the Bacon & butter it will make you a better person. the food is the best breakfast food around. Couple other joints are very good but this is over-the-top great.

I recently dined at Ella Dining Room & Bar not once but twice during a 3 day business trip to Sacramento. The first time it was a business dinner with a group. The second time it was during "Happy Hour" with a group. The decor is very chic. The service was excellent on both occasions. There is a wide variety...

Worth the wait. Sunday morning find! Have family in town and needed brunch. Found Bacon and Butter. You know the place is good when you need to wait a bit for a table. There was a long line of folks waiting. The amount of food served is very generous. Had the Grilled Cheese Benedict. Not sure who came up with this idea but THANK YOU!! Mimosas are great too.

Got the kitchen sink, biscuit, bacon, & gravy, and smashed fries & bacon gravy. The portions were huge and very delicious. The wait wasn t too terrible for a Sunday morning. Waited about half an hour to 40 minutes. Plenty of street parking around the neighborhood, but they do have a parking lot available. The avocado toast looked delicious, and I wish I had gotten that instead. Wouldn t really recommend the smashed fries & bacon gravy.

Bacon and Butter is such a Sacramento gem, and rightfully so. Their food selection is outstanding, and every single item on their menu tastes fantastic. This is by far one of our top spots in all of Sacramento, so definitely go here if you've never been. Get there early though, lines get long quickly and wait times can be frustrating when you know how good their food is. Their drink selection needs special mention as well: everything on their drink menu is very creative and expertly crafted. Get their Bloody Mary or one of their many other brunch cocktails and you will have the perfect pairing for your brunch.

Avid fan of the different creations they prepare here for breakfast/lunch. While the wait can be quite long, once you're seated and able to look at all the delicious items being ordered you won't regret the time to wait. Definitely a place to splurge, had french toast and grilled cheese with eggs Benedict on top! (Pictured below) Plenty of parking, no outdoor seating and friendly staff.

This place has delicious and unique food. The menu is constantly changing based on the season which is pretty cool. Most recently I had the pear and pecan French toast which was AMAZING. The consistency and flavors together were better than expected. I ate every bite which is rare for me. I also had a guavosa which I ve never seen anywhere. It was delish. The only bad thing about this place is how popular it is. The wait was 30 minutes for 3 people and the place had just opened 20 minutes prior. Hopefully this issue will be resolved with the opening of the second location but we will have to wait and see.

First time here. Sadly disappointed.

First time here. Sadly disappointed.
The server recommended the chorizo burrito and flap Jack's, so that's what we got.
The food was just ok, it lacked in flavor.
I gave it 3 stars because the staff were all pleasent and attentive and the place was clean and very cute.
We most likely will not be coming back.

I love the food, but the wait is ridiculous for parties of 5 or more! They need to start taking reservations for more than 4 and/or be amenable to putting more two tops together. It's not worth the hassle.

We went here for a breakfast date on 02.08.2020. The wait was about 30 minutes for 2 people which isn't bad for this place because it's always busy.

The food was awesome, we tried the chicken and waffles with a side of the house bacon. Drinks were average and personally a fresh orange juice or water or even plain coffee would have sat better.

The checkbook of poems that you can sign when you're through was a nice touch that we enjoyed and I have photos of the pages we signed.

Pricing was reasonable. If you're willing to wait a bit, I would recommend this place.

Really nice brunch spot. Stays busy because of the hours of operation. Can accommodate large parties but give time for setup. I had the polenta with egg over hard. Would have given five stars but my eggs were a little soft on the yoke at the end of my meal which was good but after seeing that it ended my meal. Just make sure you let them know over hard means yoke is hard as well.
