B&J dive center Tioman Island Review

Did a couple fun dives here, had a great experience. Professional, dive master took our pictures and was very friendly. Many of the sites have tons of nudibranches!

Well organized and nice boats. Cheap and good staff. The girl at the office is quite "strange" but funny. Best instructor, a french blond guy!

B&J has great value for their packages and the people and accommodations are so nice! The bar right in front of the office is also really nice to chill :) My instructor Kara was really clear and such a bubbly person! Highly recommended for PADI certifications and fun dives.

We have been there for 1,5 weeks. My girlfriend took the Open Water Diver course and I did some Fun Dives. I can totally recommend the Diving Centre: The courses, which are also held in German, are very professional and well organized. The Divemasters are speaking English very well and are very ambigious, motivated and willing to help. The coures and fun dives are done only with small groups (max 4), what we appreciated the most. Furthermore the diving center is strongly engaged in conserving, protecting and keeping the reefs clean. For example they collect waste during the dives. Overall a great experience!

Great dive centre with skilled and friendly dive masters who know a lot about the local dive sites. Building itself is located near some great cafes and chalets too.

Very organised dive centre. Don't expect a very personalised services as they serve plenty of customers. Its basically a huge business in itself. I have taken my open water with them years before and I would say that they are reputable and trustable.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at B&J Diving center. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The staff in the office, the hotel and the dive shop were all friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant, but there is a nice bar to have a drink before wandering down the beach to find somewhere to eat. The dive masters were very efficient and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our dives

Visit and learn all the idea about diving. Just fyi, no sandy beach in front of this dive center(ABC). but i can sure you will be happy with the staffs sorrounding, they always give their best for you.

Very accommodating, very friendly dive operators. Had a great time with them and would use them again were I to travel to Tioman. Only criticism is that despite having booked our dives some time in advance they didn't seem to have incorporated us into their boat plans and the first staff member we met was unsure whether there was room for us. Worked out fine in the end though.

Recommended for novince divers. Did my license there. Boats are extremely slow. Not upgraded for years

Had a great experience passing my open water. Had instruction Jay and he was amazing. Rooms we stayed as part of the package were the best on the island, so nice! I'll be referring all my friends to come here.

We just spent the last 2 days diving at this dive center. The crew is super professional, dive sites are gorgeous, equipment and facility are very good. Even the shore dive is very nice. Sadly didn't see any sharks, but plenty of fish, coral and turtles !

Would recommend to anyone looking for great diving.

We found them on the PADI's website, and after few emails, we could see how serious they were. And the dives confirmed it. Profesional DM, easy going, clear instructions, well organized. We enjoyed our time here, since they even suggested us a place to stay. Thank you guys

Updated. Last year (2017) we had a great week here, I made 19 dives in total. The whole family liked the stay, so this year we went for two weeks. We did a rescue diver course, two advanced open water courses and loads of fun dives. Professional (and cheery) staff and equipment. Very fast speedboats that get you to the dive sites in 10-15 minutes. Underwater live around Tioman is pretty good and varied; lot of live coral, we saw reefsharks and turtles and millions of other fish. Maybe a tad more expensive than the other dive shops, but highly recommended as the quality warrants the price.

The Best of The Best. High standard in diving education and services. Offer 5 star accommodation experiences. Simply awesome.

I completed my Open Water and Advanced Open Water there , and Im going to complete my Rescue and Divemaster course there !!

Quality Staff and instructor!

Was fairly unorganized, they gave me the wrong gear bag, even thought it was only 2 of us diving.

I also had my GoPro stolen during the dive off the boat, which I am 95% sure was the crew, they told me bad luck.

When we went to pay they tried to say I paid short, only when I made noise did they notice a 100 on the ground.

There are lots of big name dive shops on salang beach, I would chose any of the others

Sweat diving school on Teoman. Everything was well organized and always helpful Point also with the travel organization great help. The boat equipment is okay and we had a great time diving

Best dive shop in Tioman. They have custom built dive boats. Very professional operation. They take care of your dive bags after every dive. Let you set up your gear to ensure responsibility. Have been diving with them for more than 3 years without any issue. They are extremely honest in accounts - providing refunds / credits when I accidentally over paid. Give good discount for increasing dives and own gear. Only need to be careful with your accommodation. Better to choose TDR - run by the B&J dive centre. Other accommodations are horrible, will spoil your dive holidays.

Best dive operation on Tioman. All DM are very friendly. Owner Ben is great and VERY knowledgeable.

Take my AOW there last Saturday & Sunday (28-29 Apr 18) with my best friend. Our instructor is George Brewer. Yup, awesome instructor ever! All people there very professional. There so many things we're improve from our OW skills since we didn't take OW with B&J. Its important to learn the correct way to dive. Great experience, great advice, very understanding and very friendly that will make you feel home once you're there. Definitely recommended to all & will repeat soon.

Great dive base. Organization of the everyday trips is really good. you don't have to carry anything as the staff is taking care of it. We also stayed in one of the rooms, which was really big and very clean. All in all a great experience 10/10

We finished our open water with B&J. Great instructor (Stefan) and nice staff members. I'll try to come back again.

I've been diving with B&J since 2008 and they're awesome! Ben, one of the owners of B&J, is a very experienced and reputable Course Director. Did all my courses there from open water up to instructor level. Professional and friendly service, they're also very active in ocean conservation. Highly recommended! Definitely one of the top dive centres in Malaysia!
