What a wonderful experience! I went here for my birthday and I was so spoiled! From beginning to end I had great food, drinks, and dessert. The atmosphere was elegant yet beachside tropical with a warm breeze. I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion or if you are a foodie and want to try unique flavor profiles.

Azure's was a fantastic venue for a 3 day wedding event. The restaurant is located on the beach; we reserved one of the cabanas and it was perfect for our reception. The food was excellent as was the service.

The ambience and presentation of food was amazing. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The only thing was that although the food tasted good the food started getting really salty as we got closer to the bottom of the dish. The part not in the sauce was very delicious.

We used for dinner. Because it was a convenient location, it was crowded with many people. I asked for a reservation at the hotel so I immediately put it on the seat, but it would be difficult without a reservation.
The food was delicious and the price was high. It might be reasonable to consider adding the location fee.
I could hear the sound of the waves even at night, but I felt the view was good and it was more fun at lunch time.

My wife and I each had the tasting menu. I had the wine pairing. It was phenomenal. Easily one of the best two or three meals we've had and we've eaten at quite a few top-tier restaurants. Their menu was heavily seafood-based. But they pinnacle was an absolutely perfect filet mignon, butter poached with a quail egg on top and truffle oil. Simple fantastic. The wine pairing was on point, and the cocktails were great. I would definitely go back the next time we're in Honolulu.

Such a beautiful restaurant and a decently priced menu. I have been there 6 or 7 times and enjoy it more and more each time I go. The last time, we had a party of 12 guests and they treated us like royalty.

Fantastic dining experience! We started with the sashimi, which was melt in your mouth deliciousness, and kept it going with ahi and opakapaka entrees. The wine selections by the glass were also really good. Obviously if you're eating at the Royal Hawaiian you're not looking for budget fare. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

A great restaurant in a hotel that oozes history. Kitchen at the highest levels. Good service but with some details to be finished (for example at these levels you would expect the first people to be served are the ladies, or that a table does not stay long with dirty dishes at the end of a lunch). High price but not exaggerated, however in line with the location. All in all it was a good experience.

This is for my 7:45 PM Easter evening reservation. Mrs. Lefrak pink hair, white hat. I was staying at the Royal Hawaiian and this place came highly recommended.

This is a luxurious restaurant nicely appointed very dark at night so bring a flashlight ha ha I'm not kidding and it's right on the beach so you get tourists walking through the restaurant which gives it a nice touch in my opinion.

Service is attentive yet excruciatingly slow.

My waiter was nice but seemed stiff and standoffish at first I didn't get offered anything special nor did he give me any suggestions on switching anything out.

I tried the tasting menu with wine pairing. Listen, I've lived in San Francisco for 30 years I know what overpriced beautiful food is all about! This is a San Francisco style restaurant except the tasting menu portion should be called a "tres petite appetizers" I left hungry and with tip, out of approximately $144 I'm not bragging trust me.

I researched this restaurant & the Azure came highly recommended due to the freshness of the food which I concur. I also am aware of the reputation of the celebrity chef.

Yet the tasting menu portions were absolutely too small the main course of the beef was so minuscule it was almost a parody! I was looking forward to the main course that was ridiculous really. Make a circle with your thumb and your forefinger and then make it 50% smaller that was the size of the beef.

I left hungry. The tasting menu was almost like a Saturday Night Live parody

Based on this experience I cannot wait to go back to Gary Danko in San Francisco where their tasting menu has reasonable sized portions for the same price point and you leave feeling full.

Come on Chef you must do better sizing the portions your tasting menu.

The terrace seating at night is dark and the food is not good. There are shorts and sandals, and children who watch videos while making sounds on iPad are also neglected. In some ways the threshold may be low, but the atmosphere is ruined. The salad is delicious. Gnocchi is normal. The meat of the ribeye was a little bit cold. I could not use the Diners card.

This year's pleasant surprise for me -- Azure is tucked away at one end of the Royal Hawaiian and has a distinctly ocean-resort atmosphere. Food was imaginative and tasty and the service was attentive and friendly. They have a nice selection of wines. I'll go again.

Sparkling wine was free with JCB benefits.
Not too much, not too little, all the dishes were delicious and I bought it, but I am sorry that there is no coffee after meal.
Overseas celebrity? The atmosphere of the beach view was good while surrounded by.

We shared a seafood bouillabaisse for out "appetizer" although it's considered an entree and I'm glad we did as the portion size is on the smaller size. It's also not a traditional bouillabaisse since we were expecting a nice tasty broth but instead received essentially a deconstructed dish with sauces instead of a broth. It was good but a bit disappointing for what we were expecting.

My husband and I had dinner at Azure last night. I went for the wine paring tasting dinner experience and my husband had steak and lobster. We were both very pleased with our dining experience. The atmosphere was nice, dinner was excellent, the wine paring was great, although there was a little wait for our meals service was nice, and over all I had a wonderful time. My husband and I both recommend this place. Oh, we have 6 children ... I recommend leaving the little ones at home and call it a date night.

The food was amazing. The prices are high, but you do get what you pay for in this case. The decor is pretty nice and the location is quite pretty. The only complaint would be getting to the restaurant, you have to go through the Royal Hawaiian hotel and the path isn't entirely clear. Would definitely recommend though.

This place is out of control amazing! John (the phenomenal server) from New Orleans, made my birthday dining experience the best I've had, probably to date! The food is fresh, delicious, and well-priced (orders were the lobster and seafood chowder entrees, two types of snapper with a bunch of sides). The lobster gets a 100+++/10 rating, as does John! He went absolutely above and beyond - complimentary wine tastings, champagne dessert with candles - all on the house... Not to mention his outstanding photography skills! He also made sure seating was top notch, despite being way past official closing time. This man is a testament to what all waitstaff across the globe should aspire to be. Azure is extremely lucky to have him onboard! If you're in Honolulu, please do yourself a favour and make a reservation for Azure, if you're lucky enough to get John, 3 things are guaranteed:
1. World-class service
2. Delicious food, desserts, and wine
3. Amazing views
... And a brilliant time!
Cheers John, best birthday dinner ever!!!
