Well I always come here for a free std test, I don t know what else they do here but I always had a good and fast experience, they re very nice. Not sure why so many bad reviews...

BEWARE!!! I was recruited to participate in a study that was to begin today. I was told the compensation would be a total of $570 paid out over several weeks corresponding to follow-up visits. Last night an employee from Axis called me to confirm my appointment for 9 a.m. After fighting traffic for over an hour and waiting to be seen for 45 mins at their offices - I was informed that in fact the study had been cancelled several days ago and they had mistakenly called me in for the appointment. To make matters worse - AXIS REFUSED TO COMPENSATE ME even though the mistake was theirs!!! Absolutely inexcusable!!!

Friendly staff and clean. good area and they pay well. I recommend.

I've done work with AXIS Clinical trials over the last few years and it has always been a pleasure. Many of the negative reviews within are written by people who are embittered because they did not qualify for the studies. As any Clinical trials expert will know you only get paid if you qualify for the study. Dr. Hazan is awesome, honest, and caring. If you are straight up with her than she is straight up with you.

I have done several trials at Axis and have found that they are worth it. They are up front with everything and will answer any and all questions.

This is a great place, Dr. Hazan is kind and the staff are real friendly, the office staff is awesome love coming for my appointment they make me feel so welcomed. I got great care once i arrived.

Unethical , untrained workforce. They will waste your time. Very rude and uniformed on medical practices. I figured they was a scam I tried to call in for info in advance but they provided as little as possible. Complete waste of time.

One of the worst places to go. Vertify everything by phone and get the name of who you talk with or else. You will waste your time. Doctor is never available to talk with. Staff all over the place they act as though they are home. You don't want to waste your time and gas and get nothing in return.

This is the most incompetent staff I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The doctor is dismissive and tells lies as well as the staff. From other reviewers it is said they don't pay many of the participants in their studies.
They need to get it together and stop taking money from the govt for lack of service!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Horrible place. 60 people sharing 1 TV. 30 guys sharing 3 toilets and 3 showers. The place is filthy. The staff kicked me out because they couldn't draw my blood. I'm tall and skinny with good veins. I've done 50 studies in my life. This place treats the study patients like garbage. The pay also sucks. Don't waste your time.

It's a bit on the strange side. Employees are nice. Asthma Clinical trials begin tomorrow.!

Go for a Study that they may have available for Cash!

2 weeks ago a friend and my self did a study and both checks bounced.they still haven't replaced the check.they are giving us the run around.we we're told they would Handle it and Still no replacement checks.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!
Reply, we were paid when we cashed the checks,but since they bounced ,PLS wants the money for the cashed checks plus $25 for the checks not clearing.if it was handled why did there collection Dept call me today??and I can't get anyone from axis to return my call.if your the owner why don't you call me and Handle this professional???

This clinic surely knows how to waste people's time. I have waited for 2 hours just to get my test results, and they are literally so annoying. Don't come to this place. The people working there are totally unprofessional and stupid.

This company is unprofessional and will supply you with a stipend which consisists of a check which will not clear with your bank.

They are stealing your services.

Please do your research and choose focus groups or studies that compensate in cash to avoid fraudulent checks.

Was told and signed a contract to be paid a specific dollar amount. Upon arrival at 7am(hour and a half commute), day of study, was informed that participants would be paid $150 less than amount agreed to. Extremely poor communication, and was lied to. I would be very weary of participating in any study here.

Illegal and unethical behavior. I participated in a clinical trial, very recently; I was provided with a stipend - fraudulent check.

It is not worth the time, chargeback fee, and games. The medical board and regulatory/governing agencies will be happy to take a look at them.

Please do your research and seek out many legitimate trials/studies which will compensate in cash.

Best CLinical Trial experience in Los Angesles. I've done many, about 20 in the last 10 years and ACTCA is the best hands down.

I volunteered to participate in one of the trials but my experience with Axis, Dr. Hazan in particular, was less than positive. This particular trial was presented as a quick office visit to receive a simple blood draw. Although the front desk staff were plesant and professional, interactions with Dr. Hazan were treacherous. Several of the volunteers openly discussed how nasty her attitude and demeanor is. She did an orientation on the paperwork and I was thinking that she would have been a great match to play a role as an evil witch. In sum, Dr. Hazan is rude, condescending and a little "schizo" in the psychological sense. I really feel bad for her employees and anyone else that has to interact with Dr. Lydia Hazan. In addition, the time spent to wait, even though I had an appointment, was endless. All for "peanuts", when you consider the travel, wait time, and "Dr Hazan experience." I wonder if the companies "the good Doctor" is contracted with know what a horrible human being they are dealing with. DONT COME HERE!!

My experiences are always pleasant when I come to Axis the waiting paper work and tests have never been a bother to me. Always remember patience is a virtue

High turnover of staff which makes me wonder about management, and it seems like one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Used to be a reputable place when they were on La Cienaga, but now it seems to be all about the money. They remind me of a low cost clinic and you always have to wait a long time.

I came in for a screening for a study, having been told over the phone that it would take about 2 hours, that the rest of the appointments would be 1-2 hours, and that it paid $100 per visit. I got there at 9am and read through the study details they game me while I waited. I learned that the rest of the appointments could take up to 3-4 hours each, not the 1-2 hours I was originally told. Then I waited. And waited. They didn't start my actual physical until after 11am. Finally around 12:45pm I was told that in order to complete my screening I would need to go get an xray at an off-site location 20 minutes away. And not only that, but the coordinator was trying to weasel out of paying me the $100, offering only half until I got the xray.

So at this point I've been there almost twice as long as I was told I would be, and I'm being offered half the amount of money I was promised. Because they only have regular business hours I had to take time off work to do this. Plus, the rest of the appointments would have been twice as long as I was originally told, which meant that if I had taken the time off work to do the study I would actually be *losing* money. If they had just been up front with me from the beginning I never would have come in and wasted my time and theirs. Such a disappointment.

Anyway the staff were nice enough. They don't respect your time though. And the place is not clean either. Overall it's really not worth it unless you're desperate.

I read all the posted reviews. There were10 with a total of 27 stars. 27/10=2.70 Why does the head line say 3.6 stars ??? Maybe the Axis staff does math the way they run the clinic. Does not inspire confidence.
My experience with Axis was very bad. Dr. Hazan is rude. Her staff is undertrained, disorganized and has high turn over (not surprising). Their facility is cluttered and shabby. Arriving on time for an appointment is a waste of time as patients then wait 20-30 minutes before the staff is ready for them. I recommend avoiding AXIS Clinical Trails.

You can not please everybody. My experience with Axis Clinical was a five star experience. I am so grateful for Axis Clinical Trials. I was a patient for an Arthritis drug named Actemeria. Dr. Lydie Hazan, and Axis Clinical Trials is the reason I live with RA and RA does not live in me. There are no words to express my gratitude for Dr. Hazan and her company. I LOVE DR. HAZAN FOR WHAT SHE AND HER COMPANY DID FOR ME. I GET INFUSED ONCE A MONTH. I DANCE, I MOVE AND I PLAY AND PRAY JUST LIKE OTHER PEOPLE. I am so happy to have been a part of the clinical trial that has changed the quality of my life. Dr Hazan is Funny Witty, and has a passion to heal people. The down side is that I am so healthy that I have not seen her in at least 10 years. I love this lady and her company. In my opinion she is the Oprah of clinical trials, or the Muhammad Ali who's mission is to heal the suffering of others. I LOVE DR. HAZAN. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thank you Jesus for this blessing, and company.

If you are interested in clinical trial studies...they pay well if you qualify.
