Avid is always a wonderful place to visit. Today, I enjoyed talking to Grace and Luis about favorite childhood reads.

A newer location that provides the same wonderful selection and friendly customer service as the Prince Avenue store. The 5 Points location has a larger selection on non-book gift items, and it's a very attractive space.

Online experience - found the books I wanted and promptly shipped them. I live in the Athens area and look forward to in-store shopping when it is safe.

I love how cute the Avid Bookstore look on the inside and outside of the bookstore. I how friendly the environmental of the bookstore is when step for the first time at their bookstore. I love that they are also friendly on their bookegramer ask Instagram account too just like they are in the Avid Bookstore in Athens, GA!

I recently moved away from Athens, and I think it is the Avid Bookshop that I will miss most. Unfortunately, I discovered it towards the end of my time living in Athens. Biggest regret - it's awesome! Great selection of books and more, great staff. Need something like this where I live now.

Online events like the ones AVID Bookshop hosts are a fantastic respite from the pandemic. Somehow they've managed to make an online event feel as intimate as being at a reading (if not more so!) I just loved, loved, loved this event. I had a plan ticket to Atlanta in May that I had to cancel, but when the world opens up again I'm heading here!!

Each Avid is unique and amazing! While I tend to go to the Prince Ave one more, that's largely bc that's where my book club lives, and I do enjoy coming into the Five Points store whenever I get the chance. The kids reading area is pure joy!

Absolutely love, love, love this little shop! You'll pay a bit more than you would shopping online, but to me it's more than worth it to support a great local business with knowledgeable and enthusiastic employees. A must visit shop in the area!

My favorite bookstore! Tons of staff recommendations on the shelves and friendly, smart and well-read book sellers who can help you find the perfect read. Cozy and welcoming. Lots of book adjacent gifts and fun stuff too!

This store is so ornate. One of my favorite places to check out when I am in town. They have a great selection of books and small gifts.

An absolutely wonderful lgbtq and feminist friendly store! All of the staff are nice, but the staff person that I talk to is particularly patient and informative! On top of a variety of books on specific subject matters, they also have the cutest little trinkets I've ever seen in a bookstore! I 100% absolutely recommend anyone visit while in the lovely city of Athens in the active Five Points neighborhood!

Adorable bookstore in Five Points in Athens. We were greeted by friendly customer service as we walked in and we instantly noticed all the little quirks and attention to detail that made Avid what it was. There were handwritten notes about each section of books with recomendations about what to read, a kids section for the younger reader, and a lot of cool gifts such as different types of pens, pins, magnets, stickers, and even music boxes that play classic songs like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. All the while they were playing some great music. I'm not the reader, my girlfriend is. I'd like to return. It was enjoyable!

Dtr received a 3 month gift subscription to the book club and they knocked it out of the park. The book selection was age appropriate and super fun. Thanks!

Love this store! Everyone is always so sweet and found a great book while there (Never Enough). Also there s always something fun to find when here. Love that there s a kid section as well and they have great people come for signings.

My favorite bookstore in Athens! Locally owned. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. Everything is well organized, and if you're looking for something specific and you can't find it, they can order it for you! I picked up a gift certificate and a book for Christmas presents, and they wrapped the book for me for free! I highly recommend. One of my favorite places to take my friends when they visit!

Avid just might be my favorite place in Athens. All the booksellers are extremely friendly and helpful. I always walk out with far too many books, but I never regret it.
