Avanti Hotel Review

It is a very inexpensive hotel for the location, you are right on I-Drive next to a bunch of restaurants and point Orlando. The rooms are ok but they do for the price

This place had very thin walls, where you can hear EVERYTHING. I can hear cars driving all night, even people walking outside on ground level (we were on level 4). The sink is slightly clogged and drains very slowly. In the morning, the house keeping lady knocked about 10 times, then proceeded to enter even when we said not to. Good thing we had our other locks on the door. She kept knocking even when we said "one moment" and opens the door, or at least tries to. Rough night, and wont be staying here again. Bring ear plugs if you must stay here, and keep door locked. Be prepared to be woken at 8am by the housekeeping.

Its a 2 star because sleep is most important, and that is something I did not get.

This accommodation completely ruined our trip. Our room wasn't very clean when we arrived to begin with and during our stay of 15 nights our room was only cleaned 3 times.... Disgusting!!
The cleaning staff were so rude and did not do their job correctly except for one day when I gave them a box of donuts and the room was sparkling (felt like we had to bribe them to do their job)
I lost count of how many times I went to reception about our room not being clean, or not having toilet paper/towels. On one occasion the manager at reception told me she checked "her records" and the do not disturb sign was on the door almost every day.... It was on the door the first day we got the because we were exhausted from traveling, but never again after that.
I was never made feel so embarrassed in my life and in front of other customers at reception, I could have broken down, she made me feel like a total liar.
Eventually it got to a point where it wasn't worth it and we went to the shop and bought our own toilet paper and a spare towel.
I've never in my life stayed in a hotel with such bad service it caused so much annoyance for us and completely ruined our trip.

I love the pool but the rooms can be renovated. The bathrooms are very small and the towels were stained and looked very old

The hotel is lovely, the rooms are so cool (so that's perfect after spending all day in the heat) and nice staff.

Excellent location, nice pool, ample parking, the rooms can improve a bit but it is good comparing to the price!

Not the most appealing resort from the outside, but the rooms are somewhat modern and very clean, the pool area is great, and the location on I-Drive is fantastic!

Checked out after checking in. Not a picky person but disgusting room, dirty sheets, shower had peeling paint and black growth in grout (possibly mold). Office was nice and management was excellent in attempting to accommodate us and refund us. If this was marketed as a low end motel I would have had lower expectations and been less disappointed. I have never had to leave a hotel without staying but did here.

Lovely hotel staff are brilliant and hotel is situated very close to all amenities, would definitely recommend and stay there again

Rooms are nice, staff is really helpful, beds are comfy, was able to get shuttles to universal studios for free and it was pretty awesome!

Very nice front desk people. Resort is decent with a nice pool and hot tub with a bar. But the rooms are very motel-y. Looks like it could be rented by the hour. Large room nice view of the pool from the fourth floor though. Tiny bathrooms. Short showerhead. Poor lighting.

Location is fantastic, front desk and concierge great. Just don't love building elevators and location

Amazing place to stay. From franklin at the front desk to the room is awesome and clean to the pool and bar and cafe. Food is amazing and staff is very nice. Franklin at the front is always helpful and he is just the sweetest ever. Thanks for always making my stay a great one! As always I will be back. I just have one suggestion however the pool area closes at 11 pm. I would suggest the stay open until at least 1 am for the grown ups that like to sit by the pool and have a cocktail without leaving the hotel.. Also for guest that arrive late... Just a thought..

Check in time was at 4pm. 8-3-19
My family and I checked in early and I was told by the employees at the front desk. I would. Get a call 4 pm. To let us know the room is ready. We never received a call for the room. I was automatically put on hold for 30 plus minutes. After being on hold for thirty minutes they continuously kept clicking over and putting me on hold. My room was ready by 5 pm almost 6pm. Checked into the room water is leaking from the sink and all over the floor. I asked for face towels REPEATEDLY but never received, my husband called this morning but no one came. There was also baby spiders coming out of the microwave.

Has all you need. Great facilities. Jacuzzi bath in room. Slightly tired in decor in places.

rowdy and smoking pot,also when we checked inour room smelled like smoke, the staff did change our room.we had to ask for towels.

Front desk staff was amazing. Always courteous and informative during check in and check out. Our third floor room had a wonderful view of the beautiful pool and poolside bar. The room was clean and tidy. My only complaint would be that the shower heads do not accomidate anyone 5'10. Other than that it was a fabulous visit and i def would stay again!!

Excellent size rooms. Great walk in shower, great heated pool area and finally it's location on international drive is fantastic.

This place was disgusting. Total crack
Motel. Not a resort. Clogs of hair in the shower, floors dirty not mopped or swept, cockroaches behind the fridge and crawling around the coffee pot. We called housekeeping multiple times to clean our rooms, they Never came. They made covid 19 an excuse and said the workers get more in unemployment so they don't really work or do their job. We left at 2am to book another hotel room somewhere else. Don't book here! This place should be reported to the health department.

This hotel was awesome the view, pool and the location are very good!

Terrible experience. The pictures are deceiving. The whole place is in need of an update and good cleaning. The elevator did not work out first night and we were on the 4th floor and conveniently there were also painting the stairs so we had to walk through wet paint to get to our room. Even once fixed the elevator was jerky and made horrific noises. The room was dirty- toothpaste in the sink, sheets were dirty- I called right away to have them changed. Our coffee pot didn't work and we made 4 calls to the front desk and still never had it resolved. Our 2nd morning we woke up and opened the door to wet paint... they thought it was a good idea to paint the balconies even around occupied rooms.
The bar by the pool is nice however the bartender had a hard time not throwing the f word out in every one of her sentences. Extremely unprofessional.
The bonus is the location but I would explore other options first

More like a motel than resort. Too many smokers around corridors and loud til 2am. Rooms were musty and floors were sticky. Saw incident that looked like a female escort arguing with her boss.Not the type of place or people I would like my kids around. Thank goodness I booked for only 1 night. Hotel lobby and pool were deceiving because its the first thing you see which look great, until you see your room. I appreciate a good price like anyone else but things like that ruin your experience. Wished pictures were more in realtime.

Moldy bathroom. The entire bath had mildew everywhere, even on the walls. The grout of tile was cracked against the tub, you could see mold coming from under the open space. There were two drill holes in the shower tile (obviously where a handicap bar use to be) these holes were not filled with silicone......basic shower common sense, moisture and water are getting behind tile wall and spreading mold like wild fire. This oversight on management is ridiculous and effecting the health of guests. Management/ownership should be embarrassed. This place is a dump.

This is a great resort. It was comfortable and the staff was welcoming and accommodating.

In the hotel business you have just one chance to have guest come back to stay. They blew it.. Checking in, the Asian front desk workers were speaking to each other in there own language. They didn't explain properly how to get to the tower where my room was located. Once I got to my room walking quite a distance I open the door and the floor is not clean. There was hair in the outdated bathroom floor and I'm bald. I needed to take a shower with my flipflops on. A few electrical outlets were not working. There was no ironing board in the room, which took 1 1/2 hrs to receive. Empty tissue dispenser, toilet running all the time. Walls so thin you can hear a guest talking quite clearly in the adjacent rooms. Later on that day I couldn't get into my room cause my card reader was not functioning. They came to fix as I waited outside the door. The next day it happened again and Gilberto, an engineer, came and put in a whole new set of batteries and telling me he put in a work order to replace the door unit. The next day it happened again as I waited the third time for help to get in the room. The last night of my stay it happened again and at 11:30 pm they finally put in a while new door key unit, which should have been done the first day. Freakin nightmare... The hotel should be called AVOID instead of Avanti.. By the way hotels usually have extra rooms to put unhappy guest to another rooms if something occurs. Not this hotel. The guest services associates are not up to par if you need help and that is if they puck up the phone. I had no choice to switch hotels cause I was at a convention in the hotel. This hotel exist to fail...

Excellent hotel for family, the pool opens until 11 which was perfect after a log day in the parks. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. It is in a lovely part of international drive withe great restaurants nearby and buses to the outlets very handy.The food in the hotel was quite nice if you wanted to stay in. It was also a nice mix of foreigners, like me and Americans. Looked at booking again as soon as we arrived home. Would definitely recommend..

The air conditioning unit was located at the front of the room by the door......between the bed and the air conditioner was a wall and a couch.....the fan to the air conditioner was not strong enough to get the air back to where the bed is located and it was much warmer....I called maintenance to come look at unit.....he indicated that the wall in this particular room layout has had issues with the air making it all the way back to the bed.....i asked him if there was another room that didn't have the wall and he said he would check with the front desk and have someone call me.....no one ever called me for a fix....as a result I was so horribly uncomfortable and unable to sleep the entire night.....making today one long drag.....the pillows were complete mush with no integrity.....the head just sinks providing no support....this type of pillow may appeal to some but i prefer a pillow that is firm....when I booked the room the pictures showed a nice comfortable bed which after a long day what just what I was looking for....when you are on a vacation there are lots of things that you do during the day and once it gets time to go to bed you want to be able to relax comfortably.....i have given a number of reviews......most are very good to excellent but if I need to be critical to a particular venue then I want that venue to recognize what problems I had and correct for the future.

*****Review Update-The District Manager did reach out to me less than a day after I left this review. She apologized for the issue I had with my stay and kindly offered me a free night to be used anytime in the future. She assured me that my next visit would be much better. I am adding a star just for the quick response of the District Manager. In addition, she was very nice and seemed genuinely concerned about the lack of air conditioning in the room I was assigned. I always give credit where credit is due and when an establishment reaches out to quickly address a concern, then that establishment deserves the benefit of the doubt. I look forward to staying at Avanti International Resort the next time I am in Orlando.

Customer service was poor. Everything with the front desk staff was a rush.

Good location, reasonable apartment, good value for money. It's worth it

Front desk was not very informational. When we booked the room it stated there was a complimentary breakfast. Went to get in line and was told we needed a voucher to get breakfast. Why was we not given this information before. Asked the front desk for recommendations on where to get food upon arrival and was told to go to Mcdonalds.

Second time staying here in the last few months. It's an older motel, that they have been renovating. The renovations are nice and the rooms are super clean. Great location in walking distance to dining, bars, and entertainment like Icon park. The grounds are well cared for. The pool area is clean... and the staff is amazing. Deng got us checked in and showed great hospitality. Amy and Emma keep the cafe running smoothly. Would definitely stay here again.

Great value for the price. Rooms are ample for a family of 4. Only downfall is too much noise from outside of the room leaks in. Especially hard if you have going children who wake up easily.

This review would have been 5 star, brilliant resort, nice pool, good service.

But upon leaving they didn't put my deposit back into my account, I questioned this at the check in desk and the lady said that I would definitely get it back, maybe after a day or so. Still haven't received it back now, hence the review.

Also the shuttle bus to universal studios that is offered, goes around 3 other hotels, which no one tells you about, and they cram you in like sardines, better off getting an Uber than using the shuttle.

The pricing was very affordable. Communication between the front desk was easy between the phone and text app. Staff was friendly but I could tell they were overwhelmed. The front desk team was handling multiple check-ins, shift change issues, and multiple calls on hold.

We arrived around almost midnight and when we finally settled in our room, found that the walls very thin. We could hear the neighbors above and next to us.

The room was clean but in need of repairs to the bathroom walls, tub, and flooring.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable the room. Very good attention and services. The area it is in is very good, beautiful, it makes you want to walk. I would return with pleasure!

Nice and quiet place, awesome pool,great location if you plan on going to any of the parks and within walking distance of a bunch of resturants. Just a couple of minutes down from Pointe Orlando. The rooms are not as polished as they could be but it is a nice place.

The staff is very friendly, my first time visiting Orlando and this is an amazing stay!!

My lodging was 10 nights. The hotel is well located, however the cleanliness of the rooms is not good, the air conditioning plus very noisy presented leak and wet my clothes all that were in the suitcase next to the bed. The mattresses are uncomfortable and in addition it has an iron support that I imagine is to hold the mattress that is in an inadequate position and that can hurt the guest when getting off the bed.

The reception 5 stars ... all of luxury to get attention, however I can not say the same of the rooms.

Honestly, when I booked it over the phone looking at the pictures it looked really nice. I was thinking it was going to be the perfect stay, it was right by the amusement parks, in I drive, parking was free etc, etc. Then, we get there, we get to our room, and we realize our fridge didn't work, the bathroom was the size of a rather small closet. Then we're about to get some food, my boyfriend realizes he was double charged, he goes down there to talk with them, anda lady at the front desk named Priscilla begins to raise her voice with him, didn't look too good, and wasn't very helpful in the situation, the manager ended up fixing it, but we also paid for breakfast in our stay which we never received our vouchers. The only good thing about the stay was location, and the bar was reasonably priced. Everything else was mediocre at best. I was unsatisfied with the stay, I was disappointed with the customer service.

**If you enjoy SLEEPING IN do NOT stay here**...Like others have said, this is more of a budget "resort." Rooms were clean and fine considering the price (I paid around $80 a night including the resort fee in mid February for reference). The pool area was pretty nice. My one major complaint is the lack of concern over the guest's comfort. Every morning I was awoke to a loud leaf blower right outside my door. Completely unnecessary :( Why can't that wait until afternoon? This was a much needed vacation where I didn't want to set my alarm, yet was awoken very aggressively in this manner(One morning it was 8:30 am, another it was closer to 9 and the best day I got was them doing it around 9:30). I can't imagine how startling that would be to a child sleeping. In addition, every single time someone locked their car with their key fob and it honked the horn I could hear that as well. Very loud --request a higher floor but I bet you will still hear the leaf blowers. Every.single.morning.

For the price it's a good deal. The location is amazing. Rooms could use some updating.

Loved this place and there is a ton of things right around it.

Absolutely terrible. Y all like roaches crawling on your feet? It s the place to stay. The shower flooded the whole entire place. Gnats were everywhere as well. We couldn t even stay over night bc of how repulsive this place was.

The rooms are nice. Being next to the highway you hear a lot of traffic.

Good lodging but if you are located at the back of the building, your view is the highway and traffic can be quite disruptive ...

Okay amenities and service was good. Room was not very nice. Very monotone and the upkeep was poor. Essentially you get what you pay for. Cheap prices for cheap finishing.

This hotel was not what we expected. It looked nice online, but was completely different in person. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and we couldn't wait to leave. The bathroom was really dirty and the showers covered in mold. We felt nasty staying in this hotel. We also noticed that they don't change the sheets. The staff was really nice and helpful, but it wasn't enough to overcome the facility conditions.

I came to this hotel a couple of times but be really CAREFUL!!! last time I left my daughter's phone in the room, when we came back room was barely clean and off course the phone was gone. THEY STOLE THE PHONE! did a report to the manager from lost and found, a week later that guy was fired and on top of that he never did an actual report. Horrible costumer services.

This place is a hit or miss honestly,it's located in a good area(spot) access to icon park & alot of restaurants..the room wasn't that clean..the shower curtains had stains on it the pillows smelled like the last person that slept there smoked cigarettes..so yea..not the best..the fitness area didn't have no equipment really..so if your staying for a weekend with your friends sure why not..but your significant other...think you should stay elsewhere

Great location on International Dr. So many places to eat around the resort. Within walking distance of the Icon ferris wheel. Room AC worked amazing.

I didn't like that you had to get to the rooms from outdoors. However, the room was pretty big and very clean. We enjoyed the pool area, and my son liked the fitness room. We were only there for 1 night, but it was a nice hotel and located in a nice area with lots of restaurants and shops.

The hotel was decent the price reasonable but expect motel 6 accommodation instead of resort level rooms.

The service is good, but one of the staff in the front desk his name is Hector, hi don t know how do customer services, very bad attention and hi don t want give me the correct information, hi said he is the manager but hi is very bad, hi need to learn more about customer service and hi needs to stop to play with the customers. I will like to contact a manager

This hotel was the ideal location and the amenities were great. We will definitely stay again.

Very much a MOTEL, not a resort. Mold on ceiling. Room very close to I-4. Sheets were very worn and rough. Took off bed and put in floor so they would be replaced. Staff took the sheets on the floor and put them back on the bed.

I was looking for a hotel fitting to my budget. The stay was okay. Very near to many tourist attractions and food shops.

Clean rooms! Wonderful Amenities! Would stay again!

Room needs lights with bulbs that are not burnt out and that reach a plug in. Staff was very nice and helpful and room service was excellent.
