The best warranty company we have dealt with by far they make each claim simple and easy and not make you spend ages trying to justify every last thing which as a busy garage we just don't have the time to be doing

I took out a warranty with a car I bought from West Lancs Motors I had to sell the car within weeks due to unforseen circumstances I have emailed autoguard Warranties about a refund either full or part I have had no response I feel this is unprofessional and I would not recommend people to buy Warranties from this company they like to take your money but don't even respond if you ask for a refund I am on a limited budget and I feel I was miss sold this product.

They have a catch-all clause in their warranty in that any problem involving engine oil leaks is not covered. So basically if your engine has any problems, as long as there's half a millilitre of oil drop involved, their hands are up and won't cover, even if totally unrelated to the oil/lubrication system.

Surprise: Engines run on oil!

So many better companies that actually cover your vehicle without faff to take your money to.

We had just bought a second hand,64 Reg, X5 and within 3 months the rear near side suspension air bag failed. Spoke to Autoguard Warranties who authorised the work after speaking to the garage who diagnosed the problem. We were extremely pleased that they authorised to work to be done and also very pleased that they replaced the off side air bag as well. Great

Farage called about a repair job on air con, over 1200 pounds, cover is ment to be 1000 pounds per claim.
With the air con they will only cover 50% which does not cover any vat.
This left us with nearly a 800 pound bill.
They kept passing the garage from department to department for over 40 minutes.
The company were ment to call myself, I am still awaiting the call.

I am the owner of Specialist Cars of Blyth.
Having been in the motor trade and been selling cars for over 40 years and tried just about every warrenty company going, including the most famous motoring organisations, I have found that Autoguard are by far the best and have been with them for over 10 years. Give them a try you will not be disapointed.

Not worth the paper it's written on. Have made 6 claims for a car that was sold with a 6 month warranty and only 1 was paid out. Every time a new claim is started, you just get the same old story about how the fault is "due to wear and tear" Stay well clear of these at all costs

Got a Autoguard warranty with a Toyota Avensis, af...

Got a Autoguard warranty with a Toyota Avensis, after a couple of week the car developed a electrical issue. Warranty states "batteries, tyres, exhaust, brakes and service related items are not covered" . The car had AWL Premium assist package with electrical faults included in the cover. Low and behold, Autoguard are saying they wont cover a electrical problem. If you purchase a warranty from this company, you are wasting your money.save yourself time, effort and money and stay away from this company. They want to take your money, but will find any technicality, loop hole and negative reason to avoid paying out. DO NOT USE.
Also, hardly any garage in the city I live in will deal with these after market warranty companies. All said exactly the same thing, they spend hours on the phone to them trying to get money out of them. Which invariably ends up negative. You as a customer will end up paying for that time wasted when the warranty company rejects your claim on whatever technicality they can find. So my advice is just dont bother with them in the first place.

Doesn't give me the option to reply to these charlatans,
You say you dont cover wiring on electrical faults??? It wasn't wiring that was the fault. It was the fuse carrier block that had a faulty connection . Get your facts right Autoguard before costing people money with your ignorance.
Like I said previously, stay away from this company, it will just cost you additional money.

The garage i used for warranty work had an existing relationship with Autoguard and spoke highly of them. I was pleased with how the garage and Autoguard dealt with the claim and promptly authorised the repair works. Definately a better experience than i have had with other warranty companies in the past so would recommend. Thank you for dealing with my claim so professionally.

Would never ever ever deal with this company again.

Sold their most premium level of cover on an Audi A5 (NJ14 ZRU). Conrod on the car came loose, resulting in the car needing an engine replacement.
Apparently this isn t covered and no payout will be made.
This is certainly not wear and tear on a 26,000 mile car, that had a 128 point AA check roughly 30 miles before the incident and a full Audi service 1000 miles prior.

Utterly bemused.

Autoguard warranties were absolutely brilliant. I had a problem with my alarm so I had to get it fixed ASAP. Autoguard warranties covered the cost of the repair even though I approached them retrospectively. Can't fault them at all. Declan Wade and George Tyrell provided fantastic customer service and are an asset to the company. I can't recommend Autoguard warranties enough, I will definitely use then for all my future warranty cover requirements. One highley delighted customer.

As a business we only want the best from all the companies we deal with and you should have no reason to be sceptical about Autoguard's warranty. They always want to help the customer and always do everything they can to resolve any problems that may come up. As a dealer in wheelchair accessible vehicles we NEED to know this so we have the confidence to tell our customers that they can drive with confidence. Well done Autoguard, that is exactly what you do.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Bought a 2 year Autoguard Warranty through a car dealer for a surprisingly low price which initially left me with reservations. HOWEVER they have been brilliant! They paid for my alternator which failed 14 months into the policy and a window regulator 19 months into my policy. Ended up definitely getting my moneys worth! Brilliant company! Thank you. Shall definitely be purchasing again!

I was sceptical about buying this product due to hearing the usual horror stories about these types of products. As it turns out it was surprisingly hassle free to make a claim and my money was in my account 2 weeks after posting proof of the repair and payment. I would recommend Autoguard.

Don't bother wasting your money on a warranty from these lot! They use the 'wear and tear' get out clause on issues I've had with the vehicle since buying it, if I'd of known I definately wouldn't of bothered paying for the extra piece of mind as have had to spend a fortune in repairs on top of the cost of the useless warranty!

Autoguard Warranties sent me an email asking How ...

Autoguard Warranties sent me an email asking How they did? following my recent experience of their service and I would hate to disappoint them. I first had the misfortune of crossing paths with Autoguard Warranties on September 2019 when I purchased an Audi A5 which was no longer covered by Audi under warranty. Therefore I felt it was sensible to purchase a comprehensive warranty at the same time as buying the car which was offered at a discounted rate.

For the first 8 months of ownership I fortunately did not need to contact the warranty company as there was no issues with the car. However, after a Covid-19 lockdown trip to the supermarket I pulled into my street and noticed blue smoke in my interior mirror appearing to come from the back of the car. I tried to park the car immediately and received a gearbox malfunction error and an inability to select reverse gear. After front parking the car I contacted Autoguard explaining the situation and they recommended the car was recovered and the issue investigated. So I used one of their preferred repairers to recover the car and diagnose the cause of the oil leak. I received a phone call from the garage 48 hours later explaining there was a leak and the warranty company would not cover this. I was obviously dissatisfied with the limited information and the repair rejection from Autoguard so took matters into my own hands and working with the garage carried out my own investigation. It quickly became clear that the Autoguard warranty booklet does not cover leaks of any kind. However, the primary cause of failure was not a leak, but the gearbox oil filter housing had cracked causing the gearbox oil to leak onto the hot engine undertray and producing blue smoke as well a complete loss of oil from the S-tronic gearbox and therefore mechanical drive. Having completed my own investigation and established the root cause I felt it was one very clearly covered under the warranty brochure mechanical part suffering a sudden mechanical failure and covered under listed parts S-tronic gearbox and that the company had made an honest mistake effectively rejecting the claim based on a consequence of the primary failure. I contacted the Autoguard Claims Adviser who I believed rejected my claim who then informed me it was in fact his supervisor and I asked for him to call me instead. I eventually received a return call, explaining all the above information and expected him to agree to cover the costs of replacing the component and the lost gearbox oil. Instead I was met with a rude, ill-informed individual who told me that oil filter housing was not a mechanical part, it suffered wear and tear which wasn t a sudden failure and therefore was not covered as well as telling me well done for being able to read the booklet. I have a background in mechanical engineering and was able to disprove both of his points (I had an Audi walkround video of the car from a service 3 months previous with no evidence of cracking or leaking to the affected part) however he refused to accept this or approve the repair request therefore referred me to a complaints procedure that would take 8 weeks. I explained this was unacceptable as I require my car for commuting to work therefore explained I needed my repair request approved within 48 hours or I would pay for it myself and take Autoguard to the small claims court to recoup the repair cost. My email was subsequently escalated to the Supervisor s manager and then to the Operations Director who said they would cover the basic costs of the repair.

Autoguard were truly excellent, which really surprised me! I could think of a dozen ways I wouldn't see any money due to warranty small print, but in fact Autoguard went out of their way to help me and pay out! The staff were responsive and I felt like they were on my side. I would certainly choose them if I were a car dealer and looking to add a warranty to a car. Thank you!

After countless warranty companies used in the 28 years we have been trading who promised the earth but delivered very little we have finally found in Autoguard a warranty company who try their very best to help in any situation. Would highly recommend this company to any other dealer looking for a fair and honest warranty company.

Not worth the paper written on, had a recent problem with my car, was advised to take it to any garage VAT registered, as soon as I said the works was going to be through this warranty company, that was it none of them interested, the feed back from the garages was is that it is to much hassle to deal with them as they have to contact them ( after they diagnose a problem which might involve a bit of a labour time in itself) then they try to worm there way out of it saying its wear and tear or they try to haggle down prices to nothing, so you will struggle to find a garage to deal with this company, so you will end paying for repairs yourself.

6 months and all seems well, Having used several other warranty company's over the years, I am very impressed with the service, We no longer get phone calls from customers who have bought cars trying to make a claim, Everything is handled by Autoguard directly, I can see from the claims section in the dealer part of the website that claims are being handled & paid out correctly, With absolutely no involvement from us, As a Dealer it is exactly what we need, Could it be that we finally have a Warranty company that does what it says !!! I would be happy to recommend to any other used car dealers, Autoguard has made a huge difference to the warranty part of our business.

Autogaurd are not clear on the terms when you purchase the warranty and seem to wriggle out of any claim with sum loop hole or term!! I paid a thousand pound for this service and denied twice for repair cost. I would avoid this company better of saving the money just in case repair is needed!

I brought a car from a car dealer they sold me a policy from Autoguard and was told it was a three month national warranty.
Went away very happy with it. Two months down the line after it was given a full service. Was told it has a coolant and oil leak. Phoned them up and was told straight away it s not covered. But I ve paid you for a three months prem cover.
It s called wear and tear. We only cover the engine and electrics, look at page this and page that it tells you.
But I was sold a 3 months warranty.
Not interested so all in all, these warranties are not worth the paper they are written on
Don t bother with them.
I am dislecksic and can t read properly so I m discriminated against and lied to. Three months warranty my arse

I would avoid this company like the plague!

I would avoid this company like the plague!
Staff are careless and rude!
After taking out there premium cover after purchasing a BMW from a dealer and having the autoguard bloke there at the time helping the dealer with online sales the guy sold me the premium cover and insisted in getting it as it covers the timming chain and which is common issue which fails on the model one series.

After 6 months of owner ship the car has a ticking noise which turned out to be the chain. Took it to my local garage to be checked over and they agreed it was the chain . And assisted me with puting a claim with the this company autoguard

After getting the garage to remove engine knowing full fact the chain hadn't SNAPPED just streched they insisted that they get photos of the chain. So could proceed with claim

They made every accuse not to pay an I'm literally skint and now owning garage money
And no car!!

So overal I'm let down, Sad and Angry and they see why mental health is such a big deal these days as this stress doesn't help my depression!!
