In 2015 to try to buy a good car twice a year. The first was an Opel Meriva. These are bought and picked up to a number of days. Having chosen this, we thought we had a good car. To that we had picked up the car. We had a gut feeling. And have brought the car to the Renault dealer for inspection. This came with a very jerky result. However, more than 10 points were not good. And there was a spring broken. This should have been noticed during the MOT. Return to these experiences and irritate them. To the garage. And the points faced. I was tired myself. And wanted my money back. The owner of the high said dead nice you do not get your money. I have already booked a holiday for that. Against my will in and on advice bovag given them the opportunity to get the points in order. The owner only told me that he would handle it from this moment on. In a few days I was called and their announcement was that they could not make any points and they gave me an option or another car or my money back. I quickly went to the garage to get my money out of this message. The owner himself has not changed a word anymore. Fortunately my money got back that is the only positive thing about this experience.

Buy a car there, you have to pick it up of course. The engine is already running and we drive off. At home the car never wants to start again, only with the help of battery clamps.

Through the internet I found a car that seemed to me (a suzuki swift from 2005 ( 3750) Before I went to see I called for an appointment. The friendly staff member immediately told me the details of what they knew about the car. no maintenance history was known.After a short conversation the appointment was made.

When I came to have a look the car was already nicely ready. Everything is there neatly. I was allowed to turn the car completely inside out and a test drive was no problem. After the test drive it was possible to negotiate a bit (could still get 200 from it because of some small things on the car. (A squeaking multieriem and a thumping noise from the chassis) and after 10 minutes I was proud owner of my first own car.

A week later I was able to pick up the car. Even though I had not bought a delivery package or warranty, the car was still nicely washed and cleaned inside. On the way back home about 65KM I was still very happy with my purchase. Since my friend is handy myself, I put the car on the bridge after a week. After a thorough inspection I appeared to have made a good choice, there were some problems but nothing special. (What was wrong? 1 the car had to be serviced, 2 the multi-belt was as expected very worn out, 3 the ball joint left was defective and 2 lamps were defective. All in all 130 worth of repairs. Now we are more than 2 months further and the car is still doing fine the 102hp strong 1.5 is doing fine and also the gearbox is in good condition.

In the beginning I wondered if buying a car from such a "dealer" was a good thing. But so far that's for sure! I will definitely be back!

Not expected for its large company. I saw a nice Audi on the site that we wanted to see. Unfortunately it was 3 hours to drive there and 3 hours back for us. Given the end of the day that we called and the seller on the line we asked if we could watch in the evening. Unfortunately, this was not possible for an Audi of 23,000 euros. Seller suggested that I could watch a Friday as this was possible with my work. He could reserve the car. But this cost us 100 euros. Since we liked the car, we agreed to reserve the car for three days. When I looked at the car again in the evening, I saw to my horror that it was a petrol car while I thought it was a diesel. Immediately called in the morning and said that it could not take place because I was wrong. Since the company did not have to hold the car, I asked for the 100 euros. This seller said with a smile "unfortunately I can not give it back because we have had costs and have already removed the adv". Ridiculous. Have asked yourself. We cannot share it otherwise, but it was not an option and then we dare to say goodbye. I do not think so. So this is a garage for which the 100 euros is very important. Nice deal .. too good to be true.
We had not done any maintenance, so have it done right here in our place of residence. There they discovered that the brake pads and discs were worn and the spring broken. Plus 2 smooth tires. So we back to Hoge we had a guarantee we thought. And the car should not have been approved anyway. The spring and a few things were guaranteed but the brakes and tires were not. So pay another 400 euros after all repairs. Well got a loan car then again
But today still looking for new tires .. there appear to be 3 totally slippery .. again 300 euros lighter ..
Well we never buy a car there again.
Selling a guarantee but ultimately throwing everything on wearing parts .. you will not get a guarantee on that
All in all it has become an expensive Ford for us.

Do not buy a car at Hoge.
I bought a Toyota corolla Verso there almost 3 week ago. And now our car was leaking a lot of diesel. Purchased a car in July, bought afterwards in a hurry. It is suspected that the odometer reading is incorrect and that the car has also suffered considerable damage. We had called for a car, which was in good shape. We drove there (we called in advance) arrived at the car and that was a shock. The inside was so filthy that it seemed as if people had just entered the forest with a dog (mud and dog hair everywhere).

After 2 weeks the engine failure light suddenly comes on, then the oil pressure failure light, and a few days later the car suddenly jumps into an emergency run. So gambled and lost in that regard. The car drove and switched fine without failures when I bought this. In March 2019 I bought a used Mini Cooper at Auto Hoge. This turned out to be a few problems shortly after the purchase, but I had a 3-month warranty. Rarely have I seen a car company that goes so far for its customers. I had to return the car to Emmen, because they would solve the problem. After all, I needed a car that I should be able to rely on, that was also the position of Auto Hoge. No one could have predicted that it would be a true search. Of course I got a loan car available. Halfway through the loan car was exchanged for an almost new diesel car. Because I had to go to Germany for work, Auto Hoge seemed like a better option and they offered me to use it as a loan car. Ultimately, the entire search took more than 3 months and many things were replaced at the MINI, still all at the expense of Auto Hoge. After all the repairs, which Auto Hoge had already cost many thousands of Euros, they thoroughly tested. Their reasoning was that I could only get the MINI back if they knew for sure that the car was 100% good. The result was a perfect MINI Cooper, good for years of driving pleasure.
I therefore recommend everyone who is looking for an affordable occasion to take a look at Auto Hoge in Emmen. Very friendly, honest and service-oriented employees where the customer is central, not the car. I never thought I could be so enthusiastic about a car company, but Auto Hoge just deserves this. At home I had already seen a car on their site so I wanted to see it. He told me where the car was and gave me the keys, he did not come himself. Cars purchased with new MOT after 2months no brakes more ... led to the garage which was very shocked that this car supposedly approved several deficiencies 2months back even could not be approved.
Have then contacted the company that more or less said I should not complain after two months, it is very normal that you suddenly have no brakes more.

I bought a car at car Hoge, with a new MOT.
This one should never have been approved, I literally bought a dangerous car.

Apart from all defects, 2 safety issues would also be repaired / replaced, these things were both not made / replaced but camouflaged with tectyl and some glue.

Last month I picked up my new (used) Opel Astra. Everything had been well organized up to that point. Trade-in, MOT, turn and delivery, everything went smoothly and I was helped by Jos. But now the day before yesterday the engine management light went on and the car was suddenly no longer running smoothly.

I called Auto Hoge with my story but I had bought the car on the basis of taking it with me without warranty. Only with a new MOT. So I was told I had no warranty. But .... Jos told me that I could hitch a ride on their purchase rates when I went to Kester Autoservice by car (this is the company where they have many cars repaired). But because of the distance (150km) I was advised to have a diagnosis in the area first.

No sooner said than done. I had the car read at a garage in the area and it showed that the lambda probe was broken. The repair would cost about 175, -.

All in all, a great company with ditto service. They are nice, friendly and honest. They don't make cars prettier with talk. When purchasing you will receive a very clear information brochure so that you really know where you stand without fine print.

Here is a response about car company Hoge in Emmen. I went there a few weeks ago because I wanted to switch to a diesel. I found a beautiful Toyota there that I immediately fell in love with. vendor called Jos and received a reasonable trade-in price for my own car. I bought the car without warranty but with the agreement that it had to be delivered 100% well after a test drive and that a new MOT would come up. I picked up the car a few days later. the next morning the car did not want to start, so I called the roadside officer who got him talking with the announcement that air was entering the fuel system. I immediately called salesman Jos who immediately offered me to bring the car for repair and gave me a loan car. the car has been in repair for 2 weeks because the problem was hard to find what the problem was only if the car had been standing still for more than 8 hours. new fuel pump mounted and some other parts what Hoge has cost a lot of money . Jos called me later that he was ready again but told me that he wasn't sure if it was right. got the car but every morning I had to start a few times before he walked. my good feeling did not come back about this car and Jos called for consultation. He said there was the same Toyota that was more expensive but I was allowed to exchange it because he wanted me to have a good car. this car I am very satisfied with and certainly as everything is resolved. I will definitely look again for my next car here. read sometimes negative comments about this company but it is often people who want a good car for less than 1000 euros and preferably with a guarantee. also with other garages you sometimes buy a bad car but if the service is good and they keep their agreements there is never a problem. car company Hoge and seller Jos. After having read many reviews, I went to look for a car at Auto Hoge Emmen. I never regretted that! I was very friendly helped, test drive and was well helped when I wanted to buy the car. Communication ran flawlessly and had no problems with the seller. Now a year further and the car is doing perfect and came easily through the MOT. My experience with Auto Hoge is very positive in brief: beautiful and large company with well-priced cars. I can only recommend the company!

Open and honest about the condition of the car. Fair price agreed and the car was delivered on time with new MOT. Read many negative reviews that I certainly do not agree with so far. If you want a guarantee and certainty, you can, but it comes at a price, if you don't want this, you shouldn't cry if something goes wrong.
