I am so happy that this place opened near my office. There is really nothing like it for about 5 miles in any direction. A little expensive for burgers and salads but service is great and the place is new and clean.

Crazy awesome chilaquiles and top quality bread for their sandwiches. I would give high compliments to the coffee but everyone better know that at this point. So happy to find them this far out of the city, w00t!

This Austin Java is located in a food desert area. There aren't many choices. I went for the first time and was satisfied. I'm going to try this place again but was unhappy that they served the last slice on bread as part of a sandwich. Since the bread was on the bottom, my wife didn't notice until towards then end of the sandwich.

This is just carelessness from the kitchen.

Best pleace we've never been to! Despite having ordered exclusively through food delivery apps their food and cold brews have been sensational in presentation, portion, and quality. Might have to stop by in person someday.

Food was superb. The quantity given was just enough to be full but not overly stuffed. The food tastes like they use quality ingredients to make it. Very VERY good. The service was friendly and the food arrived at a timely manner. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Everyone is super friendly and the food is great. A little pricey but always tasty.
But I noticed that there's a lot of times where ingredients/toppings/sauces are left out and it varies every time I go whats being left out of my favorite dishes. Especially if I get something delivered or to go. Im not sure if the kitchen staff are stressed or just forgetful.

Their breakfast is amazing and their chicken pasta dish is a favorite.

Great restaurant with a friendly staff. Not a huge drink selection but what they have is good a few beers and wines. It is not a full service restaurant you place order at counter then it is delivered to table. Food is awesome !!!

The food was great and so was the service! I m only giving this place 3 starts because the guy setting out prepared orders, was not wearing gloves when handlelig the chips (for salsa etc), also, he was yawning all over the food without covering his mouth; yuck! It would be different if the chips was all he handled but he s back and forth, reading receipts, touching other things. May seem picky but I m a stickler for that kind of thing!

Story time. Second bad review. If i could leave zero stars i would. I haven't been back and ordered food since the last review months ago but it's directly next to my work and i have dietary restrictions so its the only place i can eat without (hopefully) being late to work.
So I ordered 2 breakfast taco on corn with potato, black beans, avacado and a coffee. When i was given the taco i politely asked if it was on corn. a girl responded with "um yeah he can read he's pretty good about following what is written. but i can go ask him if you want." what a lovely response. when i asked you if its on corn go ask. you dont need to assume and make a snarky comment. especially when i have never once had an order correct there. i responded with yeah if you wouldn't mind asking for me it's important. so she grabs my taco out of the bag with I'm sure her unwashed hands and proceeds to open my taco to look herself. as she is doing this i immediately respond with "oh i thought you were going to ask him i could have looked" it was corn.
but guess what happened when i got in my car
wrong kind of taco!
couldn't eat it because it had eggs and i know you use milk which i cannot have so i was out 4 dollars plus tip for the taco and no breakfast.
COME ON! I'm not trying to throw a pitty party but customers are real people struggling just as much as you. I dont understand why it is so hard to provide quality service. it goes a long way! this is how people get to start their morning!? great reminder to why every time i leave Austin Java i have a terrible morning.
terrible service and stuck up workers to be honest. it's not the first time one of the workers has belittled me and just make me uncomfortable. like uncomfortable enough to not go back in to have it fixed!
nothing will be done of course though all i was given last time was an apology. Would have been nice to get a refund.

Great eggs Benedict and espresso coffee for brunch on the way to the airport. Nice mixture of seating inside for groups or singles. 2nd time here and staff has been attentive, friendly, and timely on getting everything out. A definite go to spot when in the area.

The vibe of this coffee shop is definitely a lounge where you can take a break from the offices around the area. But the food is really a lot more cozy than just cafeteria food. I love their breakfast tacos and pancakes. They also have a beer and wine selection for a weekend stop or an after work - wait out the traffic vibe.

This location is so beautiful inside and tucked away in southeast Austin! The employees/manager are so friendly and will try to accommodate you in every way possible. Not to mention the food is absolutely delicious. You must try a pancake with their cinnamon sugar butter. YUM!!

The vibe here is totally different from the one that closed on Barton Springs. The space is open with high ceilings, and modern. They're promoting themselves as more than a coffee joint with a full kitchen and menu. When I went, I was the only one here for the coffee alone. Everyone else ordered food. The location is out in the boonies for me with warehouses/offices. There's not not much around here but only 10 minutes away from the airport South Terminal. The only weird thing is they close at 3pm on weekends - I'm guessing it's cuz this really is out in the middle of nowhere. Maybe they'll extend hours if there's a need?

I like this coffee place. It's got great prices and even the food is good! Great for a quick breakfast before work. My only complaint is they don't open early enough for me to stop by on the weekends.

Always great service!!! Tucked in a place with medium paced traffic, just enough business around to keep it busy but not over saturated with coffee traffic like other places. Food trucks next to this coffee shop are on a rotating schedule so you can pick up another treat there as well!

Same great food as the Manchaca location but the Met Ctr. location just doesn't have the atmosphere and the lack of full service wait staff is annoying. Something about paying the same prices, but having to order from the register and grab your own drinks doesn't seem correct. Asking for a tip at the register before your food arrives is kind of tacky. I don't tip at fastfood joints and this is what it feels like ordering at the register here.
Bring in some staff and get rid of counter ordering.

Surprisingly delicious dinner. I never thought a coffee place would have full dinner options or that they'd be good. But this place actually knocked it out the park. All their staff where extremely welcoming and had great customer service. They even had delicious Mimosas and Beer!!! We live in the neighborhood close by so it's really nice and convenient to have this gem so close by.

I have never had a negative experience with Austin...

I have never had a negative experience with Austin Java until this at the Manchaca location. The waitress, Bella, was extremely rude and talked down to me when I placed a to go order. On the phone, she asked for my phone number, and she got one of the digits wrong, so I corrected her saying that it was actually a nine not a one. She sarcastically said okay whatever on the phone. That was kind of odd to me, but I brushed it off. I said okay thank you so much after I place my order, and she said okay yeah bye. I was right next to the restaurant, so I decided to go in and pay ahead of time so I could run, take care of a few things, and come back. Shet me there was a surcharge for to go orders, and I expressed I hadn't heard of that before, and she said well this is how we do things here and if you don't like it I can get my manager, so I said "okay, i guess I'll speak with her. Thank you so much". I spoke with the manager, saying that I have never had a problem with any of the customer service here before And this was the first time I had felt very unwelcome. The manager proceeded to tell me that the waitress is just really young and probably stressed out because they have a lot of orders this morning. After the manager had left, I proceeded to ask for my receipt. The waitress, Bella, said that the receipt was being printed and she would get it in just a second. I waited three more minutes for her to help other customers behind me to go and get my receipt. She went into the kitchen and back out, and I asked her if there was still no receipt. She said the receipt is in the bag that my food will be coming out with And I couldn't have it yet. I told her I needed my receipt now so I could take a picture of it. She told me she needed it back after I took a picture of it. whenever I expressed I never had to do to go orders this way before, she said, "well, this is the way it is". I walked out the door and back in, and she asked me "is there something else you need?" And I said yes, just your name. I left to go sit in my car to wait because I didn't want to be around her.
After 15 minutes, I went into grab my food. I went straight to the bar because I didn't want to talk to the waitress, Bella. She saw that I avoided her, so she slammed her coffee down on the front desk, walked over to the bar and aggressively grabbed my bag of food and held it up to my face. She smirked at me and said, here's your food. At this point, I realize that she is targeting me specifically. I over emphasized my thank you so much, And I asked the bar for the manager a second time.
At this time, I'm upset. I told the manager how she was treating me and the behavior she was acting upon. The manager proceeded to write it off, saying well, we attract these types of workers for $8 an hour. $8 an hour isn't even livable wage, so you can imagine she's young and doesn't have very much work experience yet.
I told her that shouldn't matter because work is about helping others and being of service and getting paid for our service to others.
she said yes, I agree, and her behavior with the coffee is not very professional. I will talk to her about it.
I said, I don't know if she has something going on in her life that would make her act this way, but you cannot bring personal business into the workplace. You have to leave it at the door!
The manager said, I agree, but, again, she is very young.
all in all, I don't feel that this situation was cared for in an adequate and professional manner. I feel her behavior is unacceptable, especially when I was nothing but nice to her and trying to be understanding with whatever her situation was. I do not think that the manager writing off her situation as her not being paid enough looks very good on the company. I told the manager that I will no longer be taking orders from her establishment, and she just agreed with me. Saying that she was going to talk to the waitress. They did not try to compensate for the situation or take responsibility for it.
This was the worst experience of customer service I have ever had.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, clean bathrooms is what I'm basing this review on. I was disappointed my coffee was only half full.

Also, the veggie sandwich comes with a marinated portobello mushroom, and that's great. My issue is serving it on white bread that instantly soaks up the marinade leaving you with a soggy, frustrating, mess of a sandwich that spills out the back with every bite.

Staff is polite and they work pretty quick. Food is good. They have a reward system in which you spend, I think $100 and get a free meal on your next visit. Plenty of parking. They could use more indoor seating but you can eat outside too.

Located in a newer industrial park, this spot came up as a nearby place specializing in breakfast foods. Don t let the Java in the name make you think it s limited to just coffees.
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of items offered on the menu and went with the biscuits and gravy plus a chorizo breakfast taco. First for the good: loved the taco! Decent sized, excellent flavor.
My latte was delicious and the eggs, potatoes, and biscuit that came with my meal were all really good.
My only disappointment was the gravy. It was a little on the thin side for me and was too buttery. I like my country gravy to be gloppy, so this one was a miss for me, but based on the taco and everything else, I ll definitely be back if I m in the area!

Thai place has always had amazing food and coffee! I love coming here. But I ll be coming more often after what happened today!! My card was declined because I had to get a new one and forgot to activate it. But regardless of my financial situation, the woman who I believe is the manager, gave me my latte ON THE HOUSE! It was the nicest thing anyone has done for me In this chaotic year of 2020. To some this may not seem like a big deal, but to me, this is just generosity at its finest and I love to see it spread around. Go Austin Java! (met center)
