Enjoyed Clarence Darrow for the Defense. Mr. Casiano was captivating.
Went to see Twist your Dickens...hysterical, slightly irreverent.
The Best Little Whorehouse... I mean, Theater in Denver.
Excellent " Company" play. Advertisement in the theater had reflecting glass issues.
I saw Hooded here recently and I loved it. It is so refreshing to see theater that is fresh and is not shy away from touchy subject matter. Please keep it up. I hope that the next play Life Sucks is as good.
Small intimate theater with a variety of productions. Recent offering, Hi Hat Hattie, a musical biography of Hattie McDaniel, excellent.
Saw "Hooded, Being Black For Dummies." It was a really good play. No complaints about the venue, but no compliments either.
Go see amazing theatre here!! NYE has some of the best local talent!!!
The lobby was too small for the size of the gathering of the Miscast ticket holders, so it was uncomfortable waiting to be seated. Once you are seated though, you are immersed into.the show.
If you get the chance to check out Miscast next year, I highly recommend it. Such a fun mixup of performances with a wonderful cast and crew raising money to support a program that helps Denver actors with their medical bills.
Intimate venue. Not enough parking so come early and prepared to walk a couple of blocks.
A great venue that is intimate and offers a variety of shows and events.
Cozy community theater for a play.
Especially now you need to be close to the action due to vision or hearing concerns.
The show was great....this is the last weekend for Strange Passing a must see musical
We love going to the Fox... They have great talent and the shows they put on, there is something for everyone!
Good little theater. My son enjoyed putting on a production there.
Symphony played Gershwin here, we sat in the back of the balcony in the middle and the sound was fine. Great preformance by the symphony. Gershwin is hard to play as there are many interesting change ups. Cannot see the musicians that well from there but the view of the entire hall is great. Wesley Leffingwell was fantastic! Piano. All our thanks goes to Norman Gamboa, Conductor.
The seats are very uncomfortable. Makes it hard to enjoy the show.
That theater gives you a very intimate feeling, like you are right in the action. The actors are immensely talented! I cant wait for the next play.
Plays are very well done. Great to see diversity in the casts and the material.
Pavilion was a wonderful play.. And the fox was a nice joint.
Great shows and talent brought to this unique building each season!
Great local theater that doesn't shy away from controversial topics. I recently saw HOODED OR BEING BLACK FOR DUMMIES and I really enjoyed how they were able to weave together humor and social and racial issues in a really powerful way. The theater is small, but it is great for really connecting with the actors on stage. Do yourself a favor and catch a show and support local theater!
Queens Girl in the World was a great show and actress. Socially distant seating and skipped intermission due to Covid. Didn't have to touch anything unnecessarily. Had free water since bar was not open. Very nice experience. Very thankful to have this place.
The play was not that great! Could have been better not worth $25.
Great community theater venue, and a Sublime performance of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
Thanks for the invite, it was great and we would like to come again.
This theatre is exactly what you would expect going to a small community theatre in Aurora. As long as you accept it for what it is, you won't be disappointed.
The amenities here are somewhat lacking. The chairs in the theatre itself are oddly small. There are no cup holders either. The lobby got pretty packed before they let everyone into theatre. The drink prices were much more reasonable than any of the downtown theatres though ($4 for a basic wine or beer versus the $6+ downtown),
We saw American Idiot here and really enjoyed the show itself. They did start it about 5-10 minutes late, which I guess is normal for this theatre. We weren't in a rush to start watching it right at 7:30 so it didn't really bother us.
One thing that I thought was a nice touch: we got an email the day of the show from Ignite Theatre, thanking us for choosing them, telling us when we could arrive, and letting us know where to park. It even included a link to the little parking map on their website, highlighting the best parking locations.
Considering the production value and ticket prices, we'll definitely return.
I did not visit here ... I visit ; EZ PAWN , which was very interesting because of a particular African-American Man; whom I have never seen there before ... It was a great experience because he was very and it was a FUNNY experience.
Wonderful theater, courteous staff? Well worth visiting for any show they put on!
Thought provoking, well done performances every time.
This is a lovingly maintained old theater in the heart of Aurora. It is a small, intimate venue that hosts wonderful live theatre events throughout the year. Parking is sometimes a challenge, but if you are there on the weekends you can use the city lot next door.
I've seen two musicals here, and both were wonderful. The theatre troupe that is in residence here is talented and puts their own touch to the stories they portray. Their production of "Dracula", around Halloween 2016, was very well produced (the larger gent who played "the American" almost stole the show with his smarmy portrayal, as did the mousey actor playing Van Helsing).
Prices for these showings were moderate, "off-Broadway" pricing not out of line for the quality of the productions. Set pieces are imaginative, and they do a lot with the narrowish stage they have in the building.
In general, bravo for a big-city theatre experience in a small-town like venue. I await my next trip out East on Colfax for another pleasant night of theatre!
The Aurora Fox never ceases to amaze. They put on high quality productions every time. It is a nice intimate theater to see a play. Some plays and musicals make you laugh, cry or think and some do all three.
This is a hidden gem. Fun theaer, intractive and every seat is great!
Serves wine and spirits. Price I just right. Lots of variety.
Always a great performance at reasonable prices. And now some restaurants are opening across the street and nearby to make the experience even better.
Cool theater...not so great area...lock your doors lol
Great performances, great intimate setting! Only complaint is the seats, they are old and uncomfortable.
Saw "I Miss You Like Hell." Very well done. Many diverse and talented folks perform here in topically relevant plays. The diversity is much appreciated.
Its the worst place to take a child learning how to do stage plays. They proctect the bullies and not the victims. My granddaughter is an eight year who was attacked by a bully and I was asked not to enter the building anymore because I complained. My granddaughter was not the only one being bullied but she was the youngest. So we pulled her from the Adventure of Alice in Wonderland play this summer 2018.
Great venue, but parking can be a bit of a challenge. My granddaughters were in a performance of Alice in Wonderland. All the girls were very talented. It was a fantastic show.
Hilarious show last night! We are never disappointed at the Fox!
The quality productions under the lead of Helen has skyrocketed the content and takes risk with casting!
Attended play there. Great acoustics and sight lines! Will definitely keep Aurora Fox Arts Center in mind for other performances!
Went to see "high hat Hattie" and was not disappointed. High quality production with a ton of talent, hosted in a lovely space to boot. Some technical difficulties, but mostly minor. Great gem in the city of Aurora.
It is a nice venue and they have great shows. However, they started the show 15 minutes late and the seats are miserably uncomfortable. If you have broad shoulders, be prepared to squeeze them in!
This place is great. My sister and I saw a comedy play here and it was hilarious. I highly recommend this theater.
The show and cast was awesome. I really enjoyed my experience. Nice that there were concessions.
I had a wonderful time at the fox and it was my first time there. And if it wasn't for Lisa Young I don't think I would have been there Lisa Young did an awesome job and the young lady who played the daughter of caroline awesome job!!! And for the rest of the cast awesome I especially liked the use of kids!!!
Love this theater! Each season is made up of unique shows and quality actors. Highly recommended!
We were long time patrons of the Fox. We ended up becoming season ticket holders and the first few shows were great. Then a mistake by the staff left us unable to see a show we had a reservation/ticket for. Most of the staff were extremely apologetic, but the main woman I ended up speaking to who arranged all of our dates for the season (who actually made the error) was defensive and practically blamed me for the mistake. She offered a free show as the other show was no longer available. What she didn't offer was a genuine apology. She was unable to accept responsibility for her error. We never returned. Sorry, we will stick with DCPA and the Arvada Center at this point. We wanted to support local theatre, but you don't treat us like that and expect a returning patron.
One of Auroras hidden gems. Every show that i have been to here has been wonderful- from childrens plays to musicals
Just saw, Miss You Like Hell. It was so moving and timely. The acting and singing was fabulous. I highly recommend this show to everyone!
Twist your Dickens is yet another superb production at the Aurora Fox! Hilarious, sophisticated, witty! Don't miss!!
Experienced Hedwig for the first time. Excellent show! Singing and music outstanding! Could go back and see multiple times!!
The staff is always Friendly and accommodating. I love going to see the shows here.
Hidden gem! Productions I've seen have been really good. Plus it's nice to not have to drive all the way to downtown Denver :)
What a lovely historic theatre! We attended a play that our granddaughter was in. Was fun to read all about the building and the neighborhood.
Ok. Show was fantastic. Seats leave alot to be desired, especially when a very large person sits beside you. Seats are very small.
Quaint atmosphere; good, friendly staff; comfortable seating; not a great location but I have been in worse areas
