Bed spiral broken within years, but no service

Bed spiral broken within years, but no service

We bought two motorized bed spirals from Auping: the headboard and footboard can be raised electrically. Then you are talking about an investment of thousands of euros.

WITHIN ONE YEAR one of the engines was broken and the headboard did not rise anymore. We are now entering the third month in which we are waiting for repairs because the Auping Plaza in Utrecht 'cannot open a can of technicians'.

That's why I contacted Auping itself. But they can't do anything. The stores do bear their name, but apparently there are no service requirements attached to this.

A product defective within a year and then waiting a quarter for repairs. That does not fit with a 'Royal' A brand. I would think again if you would like to purchase a motorized bed spiral from Auping.

Two years ago I bought a showroom model Auping Original at an empty sale of a bed shop in The Hague. Furthermore, not lying on the bed or something, but immediately taken apart with the seller, paid and went home.

When I put the bed back together at home and lay down on it, it creaked on all sides. You only had to turn a little and it looked like the bed was falling apart.

Called the seller, but that could mean nothing to me due to a bankruptcy instead of relocation. So I was left with a broken bed and a salesman who didn't want to do anything for me.

I then called Auping myself. They immediately took the matter seriously and sent a technician. He then solved all problems.

After a year the bed started making the same noises again. Called again and again she sent a technician. They then replaced the entire bed for a new one in 2 phases. What a great service! I really recommend everyone an Auping. Nowadays, you hardly experience this type of companies. 10+ for Auping))

Koninklijke Auping presents itself as a sustainabl...

Koninklijke Auping presents itself as a sustainable company. Sustainable beds and mattresses. Almost 10 years ago I bought an Auping Royal 370 bed including mattresses for 9000 euros. For over a month, the electric adjustment option of 1 spiral has stopped working because a part has broken off. 2 "Aupingstores" have established on the basis of photos that the part (of a bed that is not even 10 years old) is no longer available. The bed cannot "therefore" be repaired. A new spiral is also not available. It is no problem that a part breaks within 10 years, it can happen. It is sad that Auping does not even bother to come and have a look. So within 10 years you have to write off a bed from the Royal (!!) Auping. How sustainable. A shop advised me to have the part made by an iron smith. Apparently the bed can be repaired, but this does not fall under the concept of customer service at Koninklijke Auping. Of course it does not have to be repaired for free, but the simple reaction of Koninklijke Auping on Facebook (see the Auping Facebook page) is a pity, but unfortunately the predicate Royal is completely unworthy.

Bought an Auping box spring in 2012 for a lot of money (no ikea amounts) with two Vivo mattresses. After 2 years there was already clear potholes (and pain in the hips !!). Auping came and recognized that the mattresses did not meet their standard of quality. They then refilled the mattresses (??). After 4 years, the complaints started to return. Eventually called again with auping who refuse to do anything about the mattresses.

Result: Bad nights and really serious pain (hips and back). Even having to have photos taken in the hospital.
Significant dimpling in the mattresses, it does not look good, we NEVER buy an Auping mattress AGAIN.

we have now ordered two mattresses from the local bed shop at 1300 each
we can't wait to get rid of the auping mattresses. They advertise sustainability but I think sustainability starts with a longer life cycle of a product ...
