I am very disappointed to know that our justice system is corrupt. Several months ago a white attorney name William Cannon III filed a false claim to the courts against a black family in Mt. Pleasant DC. The attorney made false claims that the tenant allowed unauthorized people to live with her. The people were the tenant's children. The tenant filed a grievance with the DC Bar Disciplinary Councel and provided evidence that proved that the allegations against her were false. Wouldn't you know, nothing was done about the perjury committed. In fact, I witnessed with my own eyes other white Attorney's and judges covering up this horrible crime. As a result The tenant and her family were punished by the courts and further punished by the Landlord Gates Hudson Associates. The courts punished this family by not dealing with the matter in a lawful manner. The attorney should have been reprimanded by the courts and the attorney should have been bought up on criminal charges. The family further suffered due to other attorney's working with Brian Dorwin (William Cannon III partner in crime) another white attorney to cover up the crime. A white judge also had wrong doing in this situation. She pressured the tenant into changing her statement. The attorney from UDC housing clinic also played a false hand in the situation by not properly informing the tenant that she would have to recant her statement against her will. To sum it up as a result of the false claims the family is now homeless. The property manager Tracy Butler and Regional Manager Mara Zingg of Gates Hudson Associates Park Pleasant Apartments made sure that the tenant and her family were and further suffer by placing false information on the tenant's credit report, preventing the family from getting housing.
