We went on a Tuesday. It was pretty quiet. We had the whole Habachi area to ourselves. The food was good. Portions were a little small, but were satisfied. We shared between three people. Bloody mary was awesome ! Best one ive had in the BCS area in a while.

This used to be a decent place for sushi and sashimi. Quality has dropped significantly. A supermarket has fresher and better tasting cuts than this. Our server was great, that's the only redeemable part about it. Tuna should not taste dirty.

Great service... good ambiance. Okay food. Had the shumai (love love love shumai) which I think was prepackaged and heated up. Also had the lunch roll combination which includes California, spider and shrimp tempura rolls. Great portion size (more than enough for 2 people to share). But there was more rice than filling in the rolls. Overall good experience. I would recommend others try it out. I will surely give other things on the menu a try in the future.

Birthday dinner! This was our first time here and my first hibachi grill. The atmosphere was amazing! Our host was the best ( i hate that I can not remember his name blame the saki bomb he gave at the end ) he was very attentive to us and made our experience great. Our hibachi chef was Kendal and he was very good. Had lots of jokes to keep us laughing! We will be back again soon!

This is a Hibachi style restaurant and as such tries really hard to be Benihanas. For the most part, they succeed...while strange to have an American cooking our food in a 'Japanese' restaurant, the guy made light of it and used it in his 'act'. Overall, the food was great and the 'show' was very entertaining.

So I have eaten here in person before and its normally good, but when I got an order for take out it was awful. All the sauce was spilled in the bag, I don t recommend take out, their hand roles are mediocre at best.

I really like the mixed drink that was make from sake and lychee. They have other semi cocktails that I will be trying next time I go. I have been to the hibachi grill there several times and enjoy the service every time. I was surprised how good the lobster was (I have had Maine lobster several times). I recommend going on special days like Valentine's day when the hibachi chef's likely will add something different or special to their routine.

So full disclosure I've been here before and every trip has been decent to good. No issues until just now this evening. We sat down to wait for our chef and another group was sat by us a tad loud and obnoxious but ok not Atami's fault.
However after that the group the family behind us and the group seated at our station abruptly got up and left. I was wondering why until my son pointed out to me the gigantic roach crawling across the floor. Needless to say we left as well. My son was looking foward to the experience due to it being his birthday. He actually tried to convince me to stay but no. Where there's 1..... Digusting and a disappointment.

Great place! Food and service was amazing. It is pricey but it is a nice restaurant. Definitely worth it. Food tasted amazing and you get large portions. Also, it was very clean! We will definitely be back.

I m from out of town and used Google Maps to find food near us. Atami showed up with a website link to their Facebook page...their Facebook page has a website for a Pennsylvania location. So we ordered food from Pennsylvania and weren t aware due to it being directly linked to the College Stations Facebook page. The Manager told us there was nothing he could do even though the error is on his Facebook page. So we paid 50 dollars for food we didn t get.

Today my mother took myself and my aunt to Atami for her birthday. Neither of us had ever been and she was eager for us to experience it. She has eaten there with my sister and her children before and loved it.

There were only 2 other couples there (and this was during lunch hours). The first thing that I noticed was the entire floor is greasy and slippery (I assume due to the oils being used). My aunt had to hold my hand to prevent slipping and our chairs would not stay in place. I actually went to the restroom (I apologize for this but...) while standing at the urinal, my feet kept sliding apart. I had to hold on to the stall. Shouldn't they be mopping with bleach to cut the oil in the evening?

We waited for about 15 minutes with the other 2 couples that you sit with. The staff was very friendly.

Our chef came out for the "show". He slapped the spatula a couple of times and made a very small onion volcano which took him a while to set fire to. I asked my mother "is this it?". The entire table looked bored as he did not speak or do anything. Never seeing it before I had no expectations but my mother said it was nothing like her previous visit.

We ordered scallops which I love. They were raw in the middle. We asked if they were done and he said that they were. The rice had so much soy that we could not eat it. And the scallops we so slimy and under cooked (a gelatinous texture) that I only ate one scallops. I again went to the restroom feeling queasy. My mother spoke to a waiter who said the chef "was new". As we were pulling out near Razoos, we had to pull over. My aunt began vomiting. We had planned on going shopping but my mother's stomach felt a bit upset too (she and I shared so we did not feel as sick as my aunt that had her own).

My mother called and spoke with the manager. For some reason she said that she would speak to the chef and call us back. She never did.

A $30 meal for 2 orders and an appetizer (which was good but made by someone else) and no drinks. The manager offered no compensation nor did she have the courtesy to call us back or the professionalism to handle the situation during are first call. We should have spoken to her in the restaurant but as I said...we all felt ill.

This may have just been an off day. But raw food that made us sick, greasy/unclean floors could be a part of the reason that nobody was eating there during lunch.

We will never return.

Worst service ever. First for most, it was during the week it was not busy and we were there first before anyone arrived. 2 other table then got attended, recieved their food and drinks and we and the time did not have drinks then our soup and salad came wayyyy after when the chef aas about to cook the people next to us had recieved theirs way before their food was prepared. Now we have been waiting and then i go to the front to inform the guy who sits everyone and when i informed him of my issue he looked at me with disbelief about the situation and tells me he knew for a fact i was not there first because my table did not have any reservations nor notes,i was not given the benefit of the doubt, the kid was young and i felt as i got discriminated due to my color because i did not get the service i was paying for. Will not be going there again wouldn't give a star. Customer service goes along way and clearly their staff do not.

The food does taste good. The dinning in the back is fun. The trained chefs have some really surprizing moves and tricks and it is entertaining seeing the reaction of the children that come in with their parents.I love the shrimp, fried rice and vegetables. It is reasonablely priced also but, I hate that the floor is sticky!

I've have too much sushi for too many years from too many cities to be very impressed with what I've had here on at least a dozen occasions. But I do go, it's not bad, just not impressive. It's not the best sushi you can get in the area, but the service is good, and the location is nice. The wifie likes the hibachi but I'm about the sushi. They tend to give too much rice on the nigiri, and the sweet shrimp body is usually slightly under cooked and oily. But the seaweed salad is a glorious portion, I'll give them that. And they aren't bashful about the thickness at which they cut the nigiri. But the super white has never been very good cuts, nor the yellowtail. Again, the service has always been great, and I'm just straight forward about my sushi.

Always great service here. I usually get a salmon teriyaki bento box for lunch and it s about $10-$12 bucks, and comes with a good portion of food. Food is always delicious for hibachi too. One of the best sushi/bento places in College Station

Horrible slow service. Only one table other than me in the entire building. Dont waste your time or money here. When you are struggling with getting orders done you get your entire staff involved. Bad look when you see 10 staff members and 3 managers walking around and it takes more than 30 mins for an order. Should be out of business soon.

Had a great time! We went for my sister's birthday 11 people. Wait time was a little long but like I said 11 people and no reservation. We seat at the hibachi the chef was very friendly, funny and entertaining. It is definitely on the pricey side but you get dinner and a show. I can't saw I will go all the time but my child said they want their birthday dinner there.

The food is amazing. The last time we were here in January we had literally the BEST chef lady at the hibachi table. Shes the only woman Hibachi cook there. Oh my lord she is FUNNY and sweet and kind, and she cooks so great
Def. Knows what she is doing. Glad the head chef gave her a chance! She has more than proved herself.

Typically good service with great sushi/hibachi, but latest visit was bad. Got immediately sat down with ~50% capacity and waited for 10 minutes without being serviced. Had 3 different waiters walk by us multiple times and no one acknowledged us. Walked right out.

Slow, expensive, unenjoyable. Honestly had a pretty bad experience, staff had it's ups and down throughout the dinner, mostly downs. Portion sizes for prices were very small, overall I wouldn't return.

The hibachi grill is pretty entertaining but the food is not that good (well... "Modern" Japanese restaurant)! It's also a bit pricey and unless you're there for hibachi grill (that the chef is in front of you most of the time), don't expect a prompt service.

I've been to atami multiple times because of one particular item I like, I've always hoped for better service "the next time". I NEVER got it. Each and every time my wife and I dined at this restaurant it was plagued with horrible service from beginning to end. Good food, worst service I've ever had.
