GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY AND GREAT SERVICE!!!! Recently I was involved in a major car accident where a 200 tonne semi truck plowed into the back of my very rare C300 Mercedes Benz that cost $113,000 when purchased new. The force of the accident threw me forward in the car as the truck didn t even brake as he didn t see me. The damage to my beautiful car was substantial. I just got my car back today and it is in better condition than before the accident. The panel shop remarked to me that Enthusiast was fantastic to deal with and they couldn t recommend them highly enough with how they treated my claim. Leanne in particular in claims provides personal service and attention to detail in getting things done that you just can t get from bigger insurance companies. I phoned Leanne yesterday to personally thank her for getting my repairs approved in the same week as the accident. I was so impressed with the way that whole process was handled and I d recommend Enthusiast to anyone - as I agree that you can only judge an insurance company after you have made a claim. They are excellent. I was paying almost $2,800 per year with my previous insurer and enthusiast was able to offer me a superior insurance product with agreed value and windscreen cover and hire car for 50% less than my old insurer. I will not name them as I don t want the legal issues but they were one of the larger companies. If you want personalised service and honest value for money and most importantly being able to chose your OWN REPAIRER as I did / you can t go past enthusiast. Many insurers send you to their own repairers that do sub standard repairs to save them money and I d make sure in insuring my vehicle that you can chose your own repairer. 5 stars!!! I'm also very impressed with Brett Williams from Enthusiast Motor Insurance, I was in a similar situation to Buck who left 5 stars on product review as well. I needed to get insurance sorted for my highly modified Ford XR6 turbo and unlike other insurance companies who straight out said no, Brett actually took the time to review me and my car and not just as another number or put in the too hard basket. I wanted insurance for an agreed higher value and with a low premium so naturally he had to ask for more information i.e., photo's, insurance history, etc... to make an accurate assessment, he sorted the whole process easily via email. If you have a unique vehicle and a policy with named drivers and distance suits you then Enthusiast would be my pick. Thanks again, Jamie. [email protected]

My partner and I have both had policies with Assetinsure for 6 and 3 years respectively. They're one of the few insurers that will look at imported vehicles (for a reasonable price, at least -- take note, Shannon's). Of course, you don't know the true value of an insurance policy until that moment when it hits the fan and you have to make a claim. That moment happened for us this year when the heavens opened and carpet-bombed our city with about 100 tons of golfball-sized hailstones. My car was safe at home, but my GF's beloved coupe looked like the surface of the moon -- total writeoff. Assetinsure were very understanding and helpful, responding to our claim swiftly and patiently, and processing it far more quickly than acquaintances of ours who were insured through NRMA and AAMI. We were both pleased with the customer service experience and professionalism of their team, and felt that the claim was handled smoothly and fairly.

I changed my policies to Enthusiast Motor Inurance because they were way cheaper. I was thinking, of course, that as I was unlikely to make a claim so the cheaper the better. Well I had a careless moment and had to make a claim, my first ever. I was expecting all sorts of hassles as I was quite particular about how I wanted it fixed. I was pleasantly surprised however and the repairs were approved with no problems. I provided three quotes with some comments about the repair process, and they let me go with the most costly quote, and assisted me in ensuring I was able to keep all the damaged parts. I am happy to recommend them on the basis of my experience.

Beware of Motor Enthusiast Insurance. They will only insure your vehicle if the driver is listed on the policy. Most insurers offer an additional excess for unlisted drivers. Shop around elsewhere, ie Shannons.
