Stunning building, really peaceful and beautiful surroundings -- watch out for the mosquitos outside!
Comfortable and quiet, with a good view of the environment.
Great space to visit and enjoy. Nice views, good food, good art.
Awesome history and location with great exhibits even if they were closed when I was there. A definite must do in HK
A hidden gem, every thing about Asia Society HK Centre is a feast for the eyes and the surprise is most exhibitions are free!! Incredible architecture and gardens as well as displays. An artists and photographers mews
A lovely cafe and book shop as well and wheelchairs and stroller accessible.
Serene and quiet place. A must visit in the busy and bustling HK central.
Very nice place - spacious good exhibition area, outdoor garden and a private theater hall - and the area itself is a historic heritage. From time to time they hold good exhibitions. Staff are extremely helpful.
Popped by when there wasn't an exhibition on display but the heritage site itself is intriguing, representing the Hong Kong leftover after the handover. Amazing building design while beautifully layout bar and restaurant rest underneath the entry pavilion which sat quietly under the trees.
The location is difficult to find, the instructions are not clear
It was built from the arsenal but there are no exhibits that can make people understand the past. It is rich in modern architecture and has good exhibitions or cooperation activities.
I love the old parts, actually quite nicely restored woth conscious design
Spectacular architecture, rooftop Buddha garden, kissing bench, great gift shop, galleries and a Michelin noted restaurant with awesome cappuccino - great place to wander with adventurers of all ages!
A little bit of the way but really worth a visit. There are temporary exhibitions all the time, but even if they are not your thing, the architecture itself is awesome blend of colonial military buildings and modernist!
The exhibits are of a quality and the environment is quiet.
Wonder venue and open to visitors. Very interesting place and venue
Nice art space and rooftop featuring contemporary art exhibits. Free entrance
Take my parents to the gallery and enjoy the exhibition. Why not spend your weekend with the one you love here.
Interesting to walk around but there isn't much to see. Helpful staff at the reception who gave out the map
Great place to check out contemporary art. Admissions are free; and its (relative) distance from the city gives you a bit of peace and quiet.
Architectural style is rustic, reminiscent of colonial days. It's also pretty convenient to get to; just several minutes walk from the nearby MTR station (via Pacific Place).
Amazing architecture, great event space with lots going on, check their website for seasonal exhibitions
Beautiful architecture and exhibition. I've joined a free English architecture tour and came out quite impressed. The architecture is quite stunning and it feels like a pocket of nature surrounded by towering buildings.
I've visited an exhibition that was present at the time and it was very interesting. Obviously exhibitions are temporary so your experience might be different, but if you come just for the building you won't leave disappointed.
The recent AR art Exhibition is also, but the printing exhibition is good. This place often have nice artwork exhibitions, but the transportation is bad. Take MTR and walk via Pacific Place.
This is a revitalized & well preserved heritage colonial barrack not only showing well restored old buildings but also seamlessly blending in with modern architectural design. The old buildings show the unique design of British colonial buildings blending well with Chinese pottery tiles roof top. It s not a dead museum but lively spot with conference halls, exhibition rooms, restaurant & offices. It s conveniently located at the fringe of Admiralty which yet exhibits enough greenery as opposed to modern office buildings.
Formerly known as Explosives Magazine of the Victoria Barracks. It is Grade I historic buildings in Hong Kong now. Modern design under the condition that not destroying the environment, like the Yasumoto Bridge / Fruit Bats Bridge. There are exhibitions held periodically.
A heritage project in Hong Kong which converts the former explosives magazine into a cultural exchange central.
Many old buddha statues, dating from the Ming Dynasty, are of great value. It's a pity not to take pictures.
Beautiful heritage site for this cultural use. Situated in the green jungle right next to the hustle bustle. Worth a good hour of walk and check out the exhibitions and cultural talks.
Public can visit for free. I wish i can see this building at night with lighting.
Interesting building and exhibitions.
If you are looking for a place to take your dates to , this is it
Free with a nice view and easy way to add that touch of cultural capital.
The modern art show was a bit limited but the restaurant provided good food with great and affordable red whilst staff were attentive.
Nice restaurant here. Food is so so. Good place to visit once in a while if you are looking for an off the beaten track kind of place for a meal.
A good place to relax and vacate, it is quiet and comfortable, with a wide view
The environment is comfortable and the landscape is open!
Going through Pacific Place from the MTR station, passing through Hong Kong Park, the gas field is worse than before
Wonderful building hosting a variety of exhibitions and performances worth checking out.
Had an insightful evening here listening to a holocaust survival share her story. Excellent venue!
Located near Hong Kong Park on the Former Explosives Magazine Compound built by the British Army, this cultural and intellectual hub is the perfect place for the whole family to learn, explore, and relax!
Walk the gorgeous grounds, including a rooftop garden with sculptures and water fountains, and then grab a bite at onsite AMMO with floor to ceiling windows facing the verdant hillside (booster seas available).
Excellent information packets and regular events for kids, just ask!
Such as attractions, the highlight may be slightly less than, as has interest in history can add a star on their own.
The roof top garden was a lovely, tranquil place to sit and watch the city while waiting for our music event to start.
The environment is beautiful and it is a good place to take photos of landscapes and people. Unfortunately, its location is difficult to find, and it also requires walking a long slope, which discourages some people, especially the elderly or those with physical disabilities.
Right across from the Conrad Hotel. The Rockefeller Foundation remodeled the space that was originally used for ammunition, and has been reborn as a cultural space. It is fun to leave the traces of the old space and find the traces, and the building itself is very nice. The space that blends with nature is a good place to relax. The exhibition we are doing now was also very good. Please go if you have time. Exhibition is also free.
It is well worth a visit. The quality of the exhibition has always been of a standard.
I was trying to pick up my 9 year old girl there after a performance. She was going to come out in any minute. The guards rudely asked me to drive my car away and told me to ask my little girl to walk down the street by herself even there was a huge empty parking/drop off area that could easily fit 20 cars.
I was bypassing this few historical building while running with friends.. It's nice surprised to find out more historical buidlings in HK.
