Asbury Methodist Village Review

The staff at Asbury perform all of their tasks with commendable professionalism, from the initial contact with the marketing department through closing on our apartment and then such things as maintenance when required, keeping the facilities clean, running the restaurants, keeping the grounds attractive, and providing many interesting activities. I am writing this during the COVID 19 crisis and cannot speak too highly of the efforts that Asbury management are undertaking to keep us safe.

When I was ready to move from my home in Montgomery Village I had already heard many wonderful stories of life at Asbury. Knowing that the
transition and actual move would be stressful I sought advice and took
the services of "Let's Move" now" Way Forward". Every step of the process went smoothly with a capable and caring team.

From day one I felt at home here with welcoming neighbors , beautiful
grounds and opportunities for involvement .I found that the rich sense of community is extended even beyond our fence through the Gaithersburg Beloved Community Initiative. The cooperativeness and participation in
activities among the residents is inspirational.

Throughout this Coronavirus time Asbury has done everything possible
to support us all physically, mentally and spiritually . I am very grateful to be here.

They always take great care of my mom at the Wilson center.

At age 70, and having seen 4 loved ones successfully retire to various CCRC s, my wife and I began our search. We visited 12 CCRC s in the greater DC area and 3 in LA. Upon reviewing our extensive spreadsheet we agreed there were 3 good, but not perfect candidates. Then my wife said we should probably also see that place way out in Gaithersburg . We visited Asbury for about 5 hours and when we left, there was no discussion. It clicked all the boxes and even had a few bonus points. We have lived here 6 years and are totally satisfied. Three items to consider in your search:- how good is the continuing care part of the facility, how well has it handled the Covid 19 pandemic, and what is the financial position now that the pandemic has been here nearly a year. Asbury wins all 3.

Excellent place for seniors, so many activities for them to do and great associates. You will not regret it.

I have been working with th Asbury Marketing staff for over 17 years as a service provider for real estate. It is such a pleasure to work with such dedicated and passionate group of people who truly care about the process of senior transition. They sincerely care about their residents and their well being. I highly suggest working with Asbury when thinking of making your transition move. They are professional, caring, and the facility offer so many opportunities ...something for everyone.. Oh! and the food is delicious!

Moving to Asbury five years ago was a difficult decision for us. We had no idea what a fun and exciting community it would be. We are enjoying the educational, wellness and entertainment opportunities that Asbury offers and are so glad we made the move when we did--while we are healthy and fit and able to take advantage of everything Asbury offers.

My husband and I have lived in a villa for the past three years (October through May) and have found it to be everything we wanted in a CCRC and more. "Anticipate More" is a very appropriate motto. And what do we love: our villa and its floor plan (the Winterberry), our wonderful neighbors who are so friendly, caring and interesting, the trees -- every where on our beautiful campus, the ponds, the wildlife which is abundant. The associates are super -- from the executive director down to every single other associate. Their smiles are sincere, their friendliness part of the everyday ambiance, and their help dependable. Because we live in a villa we cook most of our meals -- an activity we enjoy, but when we go to one of the dining rooms the food never disappoints. I need to mention also the Wellness Center and its wonderful staff, the pool. As you can see I truly love this place.
