The seating layout has changed over the years - looks like it's missing the first 3 rows - but the computicket site still shows the old layout, so you may be pleasantly surprised at how close to the stage you really are. Drinks are ridiculously expensive, so don't go there thirsty. Toilets are clean and has sufficient space. Though, the foyer and hallways from the parking garage could do with some updating.

Shows at Artscape are always worthwile. They are renovating the foyer area now so that takes the 'formal' feeling away. The bars sometimes without credit card machines and inadequately staffed.

Wonderful to have visited Artscape once again. I am a proudly Capetonian and this venue is an asset to Cape Town. Went to see the Rocky Horror Show. The show itself was quite an interesting experience. Performances were top notch.

Saw the Sleeping Beauty this afternoon. Some of the dancers were really good, but some were not on par. We sat in the first row so I missed nothing. The orchestra were outstanding as always. This was the last performance so maybe the dancers are exhausted. Swan Lake and Giselle are my favorites and always have been. Well done to our South African dancers. You don't need to lie in the shade of the international dancers.

Always a great show to be enjoyed. Chicago is fantastic. My fellow musos Andrew Ford (piano) and Mike Blake (trumpet) are outstanding!

Just one thing. Please get the exit boom in the underground parking area to stay OPEN. A huge traffic jam is caused as a result of it having to be activated by each car as it leaves.

Was there to watch a play with our school kids, they loved it. Thank you so much for all the assistance to accommodate our wheelchair children. For some of our little ones it will be their only time ever in a theatre to watch a play. They loved it.

The theatre complex was fine. We went earlier to have a meal in the theatre restaurant in the complex. The restaurant was not overly full. Numerous tables like ourselves waiting for menus. Waitrons rude, fly past the customers ignoring when they are shown they would like a menu. Noted people getting up from their tables to go to the counter to collect menus. From some of the agitated faces of customers it was quite obvious that the service was poor to non existent. Tried to signal the wine steward, who also ignored us completely. Noted a table that received their order an asked for the bill at the same time so they could pay to avoid another long wait to get the waitron's attention, after 35 minutes of waiting and NO SERVICE, we got up and left. I think if you want a meal here you need to arrive two hours before the time you have booked to attend the performance. This is the second time I have been at this restaurant and after a long wait walked out. As on a Saturday evening there is no other restaurant in the facinity other than Burgerking that is open.I will definitely avoid this restaurant.

The booking system via Computicket for this venue ...

The booking system via Computicket for this venue needs to be investigated:I tried to book for 2 adjacent seats for Chicago. Computicket website shows only single seats remain in area I want seats. So I decide to book one seat at a time (2 transactions), hoping that there is a flaw in their system and maybe I'll get a second single for my partner next to me. Lo and behold it works: I get the 2nd seat next to the first one. So question is why did Computicket system not show these 2 seats as availble for my original request for 2 adjacent seats? If it wasn't for my innovation I eouldhave had to resign myself to the fact that my partner and I will have to sit apart to watch a grsat show or would have had to book for another night. Further, on the night of the show, just before the show starts I notice that the first 2 rows from the stage are both half empty - all seats next to one another. How could this be when I asked for seats in the same area and Computicket showed only single seats available. See photo.
