A magical place where motion pictures "taste" better than anywhere else!

Lovely little cinema. Great pricing, nice friendly staff.
Decent sized screen for the "big scream" which is blfor the parent and babies showings. Caters for all ages. Nice food, and fairly priced as well as the drinks.
Will definitely be going here for more movies

I've been a member since the '80's, followed it's progress as the premier movie venue in Cambridge. Food & drink on the pricey side but, once a paid-up member, it's worth it!

Not just the best arts films, but a great place to eat and/or drink before or after the film

Best cinema in Cambridge. They also run the annual Cambridge Film Festival which offers a great variety of movies from all around the world, and it's a great event to attend around October time. Highly recommended.

Comfy chairs, lots of stairs from the screens to the loo though.

Picturehouse is more expensive than Vue but it is an etirely different experience. At picturehouse you are crammed close to your neighbour but with a large screen the whole experience is far more intimate which means when you laugh, you laugh together. Not sure if that makes any sense but depending on the film, picturehouse is a solid, dependable choice

Took our three dogs to Mamma Mia here we go again. These dog friendly performances at the Arts Picture house are a winner.

Great cosy place with a nice range of food and drinks. Screen a tad small and seats very close together but then it's not a multiplex.

Really nice little cinema, slightly more expensive than the large chain cinemas but what can you expect. Great screens and comfy seats, feel free to bring your beer in from the bar too!

Really like this cinema! Friendly staff. Screen 3 only has 1 aisle..So near that in mind if you like to sit at the end of an aisle( or you will be fighting past 12 seated people if you choose the wrong end, on their diagram!) You can't order HOT drinks to take in when you buy your tickets at the kiosk.( only cold and sweets, ice cream, chocolate and popcorn) You have to queue up separately at the bar for tea/coffee/alcoholic drinks) But you do get to make it as you like it.( jug of milk etc left out) And you can re fill your own bottle of drinking water free,there too.

Good atmosphere, great movies beyond the blockbusters, good family screenings.

Didn't use any of the cinema rooms or a snack shop on that side but it was busy so I think is all right.
Kind and knowledgeable staff about the history of this place !
Came in here with a young chup that have been here on the Exorcist premiere, I couldn't believe, i think they had 1 or 2 screens then. Wow!
I think the next door' s wheterspoon company wasn't even planned at the time.
That's really worth a visit at least for the history of this place, even for a cafe use only, u r welcome !

Come upstairs and enjoy, it's nicely decorated as well!

Best cinema in the region bar none - Screen 1 is simply massive, the seating is extremely comfortable, the staff are all very friendly, the bar area is elegant and relaxed, and the whole place has a genuinely nice atmosphere.

Love it. Nice helpful staff. Lovely popcorn and there are always good.movies on. I always enjoy going here .
