I've been a customer for 10+ years. They always have great customer service whether I call or go in in-person. I receive bills via email and snail mail which is great for me because I am very good at forgetting important bills. Also, every time I decide to pay in person I stop for a delicious sandwich and a coffee at the cute little cafe in the building. Very good all around!

Cannot believe the interaction I had on the phone yesterday. Received a call from Tina or Trina 11/13 at 9:56 AM. Note I am a business customer not an individual customer. Her attitude was completely uncalled for when I was nothing but professional and I hope someone goes back and listens to the call. Truly in utter disbelief.

I just received a disconnect notice for $519.19. This was the only notice I received from Snohomish PUD since 09/13/12. I went into your Everett office on 02/13/13 to explain not having received prior billings and to try to negotiate a payment plan.
After talking to three of your representatives, the last one being a supervisor, I was not able to get a satisfactory payment plan. Not only did this supervisor not negotiate a payment plan, she went on and on about non-payment being my fault, e.g., I should have called, I should have checked with the mail service, I should have, I should have... This supervisor seemed so sure it was not Snohomish PUD's fault?
Does this sound like good custormer service to you? Funny, too, how the first gal talked to was willing to accept a payment of $300 with a following payment to cover the remainder.
If Snohomish PUD thinks this customer service is O.K., they need to consider they maybe misguided. For crying out loud! Do the right thing!

absolutely the worst electricity company in the US, how the hell you send me a bill of $266.97 to be paid in 03/07/16 and another bill for $376.02 to be paid in 03/11/16? WTH? are you guys out of your mind? my bill for December was $236 when we spent all month in California and the house was unoccupied and in November it was $117 when my family of 5 where all using the electricity, who do i complain with? who do i get someone to take a look at my account? whenever i call they put you on hold forever!

I just got off the phone with Carolina (I might be misspelling the name) and we have just setup a payment plan for the PUD services. With COVID taking a toll on the finances, I was a tile bit behind on a payment, and I was nervous about getting back on track..., but we came up with plan of action to get back on track. Carolina was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Looking forward to getting this all squared away. Thank you for the good customer service.

The automated payment system barely works at all. First off the system does not let me use my house # and phone # as verification as it should so I use my pud account # and then every time I try to input something the system doubles up on the #'s Ive only put in once. For example if I put in an 8 within my account # the system will believe that I put in 88 and it will tell me its not a valid entry. Absolutely terrible service, the system needs an update terribly

I will be very disappointed in Snohomish County PUD if they move forward with plans to dam the Skykomish River at Sunset Falls near Index. Given the complexities related to the geology of the proposed dam site, the likely potential for cost over runs, and damage to sensitive fish habitat, these are just a few of many reasons not to support this foolish project. Apparently the dam will not produce very much power, nor will it produce power at times of peak demand. It is a classic scheme designed to line the pockets of a few individuals at the expense of many. Do you think HWY 2 is jammed up now with traffic? Wait until dozens of heavey trucks get into heavy rotation hauling out blast rock and debris to build this abboration. This will impact State Commerse in a negative way. Additionally, it will effect the road conditions, so I hope you all want to pay to fix that too. We are talking about lots of trucks, lots a weight, and lots of waiting for traffic to clear for several years.

Have you ever seen Sunset Falls? Its been compared to Yosemite. It adorns the Wild Skykomish River, which would have been protected as a free flowing river if not for poorly written legislation years ago. You should go see Sunset Falls so you know what it is we stand to lose. This project is about awarding contracts to cozy bed fellows, merely to sell energy credits to California. Don't think you'll get cheaper rates on your electricity bill for this. Only more degradation of our wonderful world.

Solar and Wind power are much smarter portfolios for the Snoho PUD to invest in. Get with the times, PUD!! Or is this business as usual so a few of you can get rich quick and leaves snoho rate payers with an expensive mess and natural treasures we'll never get back?

People need to become informed of this Bad Idea and oppose it.

Never use their over the phone bill pay. If you enter in the wrong zip and it takes it. Your payment will be rejected and sit there for a couple of days. Then you'll have to call your bank after to get your money back, just to shove it into their greedy hands again. Their customer service is iffy. I've had lots of nice people and assholes. So it all depends on who you get.

I have had several issues with Snohomish County PUD, for many years. And today finally is my breaking point, where I need to say something. There is a long list here and I wont go into a long discussion, but basically if I had any other power resource available other than PUD I would take it no matter the cost. But I digress.
*Today my power was disconnected, because to be honest I have fallen on hard times, and due to the contractual work that I do, my payments vary greatly form month to month when I do pay. I let PUD know almost a month ago that my current contract would be finished at the end of this month (1/14), and they could be expecting a full payment (I have done this before with them) at that time. The woman on the phone had asked if I wanted to go on a plan, and I declined because like I said previous my payments vary. Then I was asked if I was on welfare, of which I said no (I have no children, and even with hard times I can usually keep a roof over my head and food on the table). The lady replied "Oh, well it kinda sounds like you should be if you cant pay your bills". First of all, its my choice to use welfare or not, secondly its none of her business whether I do or not, and thirdly, I can normally take care of myself, the reason this country is in the state that it is, is because people want to be taken care of, and cant take the fact that sometimes you need to pinch pennies to survive. But again, I digress.
*I figured (like I have done previously) as long as I let PUD know about the payment situation everything is ok. NOT! Today firstly, is FRIDAY, and as everyone knows PUD isn't open on Saturdays and Sundays, which means that my bill payment (which I was able to scrape together today) cant be paid until MONDAY. So even though I was prepared to pay same day reconnection, I cant get it until MONDAY. So that's two days with no power, and PUD will still want same day reconnection fees to turn me on, on MONDAY. I know of criminals with better systems than that. And to make matters worse the disconnection notice was hung in my door jam for God and country to see. Not joking, they left the empty privacy bag on the ground outside my door, and pressed the disconnection notice into my door jam. I was just lucky my social security or any other information was not on it. This is just another in a long line of PUD hijinks that have me wanting another power resource.

I'm moving into a house that the previous tenant didn't pay the power bill. The lady is accusing me of being one of the "old roommates" and refuses to open a PUD account under my name. I have a copy of the new lease and my ID has a BELLINGHAM address! High horse Cindy and her flaming crotch rot! I can't believe how rude and blunt she was. I guess I can't have electricity for the weekend to unpack!!!

PUD has always been very helpful to me and answered any/all questions I have had in a quick and polite manner. They awarded me their 60% low-income discount very painlessly. I only had to show them official proof of receiving SNAP benefits and (at that time) TANF benefits. From the time I first filled out an application and sent i t via to the time they received it, reviewed it, and mailed a letter of approval back to me, only took approximately one week, which is incredibly quick. I had expected it to take at least 2 or three weeks to receive a response. Then, when it was time to reapply, they contacted me and 5 min later my discount was disapproved and extended for and additional 18 months. They have always been extremely prompt to fix power outages. Overall, PUD has been a pleasure to do business with. I wish everyone was as cooperative and easy to work with as they are.

Will be filing a police report for the lock that was cut on my fence, because when I asked them to replace it or pay for it, shockingly they refused. Damage to property is still damage to property and is punishable by law. Along the same premise, hit and run is still hit and run, even if the president of the United States does it. Special rights cannot continue to apply to this organization, regardless of circumstance. They must be made to pay for trespassing, and they most certainly must be held accountable for damages to personal property. Even if it's only a few dollars. If they cannot access equipment that belongs to them, that is not their customer's responsibility. We cannot maintain a societal standard that is just, when corporations such as these are excused for their actions and the rest of us must pay a debt to society for doing the same.
