I just moved to long beach and decided to try this place out. Very organized and clean, ticket prices are cheap in comparison to big brand theaters. Also there is NO parking (I walked it there) so you need to find some on the street. Set up inside is very large surprisingly

Beautiful historic theater that has been renovated and upgraded for a first class movie experience. They offer a great mix of blockbusters, documentaries, festivals, Indies, and fun events (Rocky Horror, Oscar Party, film maker meet and greets).

Art Theatre remodeling and upgrade to original Art...

Art Theatre remodeling and upgrade to original Art Deco style was great works few years ago. Giving 2nd life to a center of art activities at 4th street Long Beach. Now, shining among other art entities in Long Beach and serving the community. Going to watch a film and experiencing true joy of going to your local movie house. Great service, discount to students and seniors, providing space for local art performance and showing the most valuable work of cinema s highly recommended.

I have been here twice, first for Grateful Dead movie Long Strange Trip and the second one was for the Beatles Yellow Submarine. I love the small size of this theater makes it seem more personal and special.

I am so glad this theater was torn down!!!!!! I am so glad someone saw the vision to make it such the great place that it is. It is great to go in there and it be newer, cleaner, ac/heat works. :) I remember going in there before it was remodeled. GREAT improvement! And I am also glad you can use it for other things as well. Special events for example. The only bad issue is the parking.

Aside from hassles of finding a parking, this place is stellar. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and real great place to see some independent films. I totally recommend it to film buffs.

It was moderately priced. The employees were very friendly, and overall I had fun. There is only one screen, so if you want a ton of options this isn't the theatre for you, but I really enjoyed seeing 'The Shape of Water' here.

The Art has been around a lot of years and it is always showing something I want to see. It could use to up its concessions but you can bring food in from any of the local food places. People are friendly and the place is always clean.

This is a wonderful place to see a movie. Friendly staff, plenty of leg room, cup holders, good sound system, oh, and they offer beer and wine which is always a bonus. Street parking isn't usually difficult to find during the week. Meters are free after 6pm and free all day on Sundays. Plenty of great shops in the area to browse and a good selection of places to eat all within walking distance.

Nice independent theater, featuring small independent shows and festivals. They sell concessions and wine and beer. Old school seats. Thanks for featuring things like hump fest and indie films.

A nice little place, the last not-for-profit theater in Long Beach! They play artistic films as well as Oscar-nominated foreign films, which are shown for a period of a few weeks during the day. They also have recurring weekly events. The concession stand always has friendly workers with a nice selection of beer and wine. Ticket prices are reasonable and the theater has plenty of seating.

A great local institution with one theater. The films tend towards the oddball and artistic, with random community events thrown in. Prices are reasonable, though parking in the area can be a pain.

Such a wonderful theater, it was built in the 20's, survived Earth quakes and was restored, it's just beautiful. A true experience. As well as every Saturday at midnight they show the Rocky Horror picture show. Go, experience the Long Beach Art theater, on Retro Row.

The theatre is very cool. It's a huge theatre inside. The front entrance and the box office are really fun. The concessions are fun too. The location is not the greatest. Parking is an issue, and the neighborhood doesn't really seem that safe.

We brought two car loads of teens to see Rocky Horror Picture Show. They loved it. They want to know when can we go again because they want to share it with their friends. The performers were amazing. Next time I will bring tip money for the photos afterward. Thank you for keeping " Don't dream it, be it "' alive for a new generation. Bless you all.
