I have had the good fortune of recently becoming one of Susanna McCarthy's new patients after my doctor of 33 years retired. Besides Susanna being a thorough, kind, compassionate, brilliant doctor the Arnprior staff at the hospital are all so helpful and kind. I was there just yesterday for an ultra sound and some x-rays and the staff are outstanding! There is nothing like the feeling of a small country hospital charm.

My mother-in-law has been in ADMH for a week, and the nurses have been amazing! So patient (pardon the pun) and caring, even with the mental state of so many of their patients making them sometimes quite difficult.

While the nurses where great. Super friendly and cheerful. The doctor was useless. He didnt even touch my injury. I am now forced to go to a better hospital. I went in for xrays. No bone damage. I mentioned I think it may be soft tissue. I.e. MCL. He said "probably go see your gp." He then refused an MRI request and a physio request. Now I'm unable to walk with no health care provided. Civic hospital here I come.

It has taken me a long time to write this review. My last experience with Arnprior Hospital was October 12th, 2016 when my life changed forever.

My fiance was taken to Arnprior Hospital on October 11th with severe chest pains. The doctors could not figure out what was wrong with him, so they sent him home with pain killers.

On October 12th, I awoke to find him on the floor without a pulse - He was rushed back to Arnprior Emergency ward. When I arrived, a doctor walked up to me and said "he's dead". That's it! No bedside manner, no comfort, just 2 words "he's dead". When I questioned why the doctors allowed him to go home the previous day without more tests, this particular doctor went on the defensive, seemed to get angry at me for 'throwing blame at the hospital' and walked away. My life was over, my fiance had passed away and that is how the doctor handled the situation. Disgusting!

I was also told the coroner would contact me with the autopsy results a few weeks later and I never received that call or an email, nothing. To this day, I still do not know what the autopsy results were.

I must say however, that the nurse on duty that night was fantastic. She was very comforting, set me up in a bed in a quiet room while I waited for family to arrive and kept watch over me to make sure I was okay. She was the only source of comfort I had for 3 hours while waiting for family so I do have praise and appreciation to her.

It's never good. Yeah some staff are nice but when a 3 year old comes in with a head injury and is made to wait 2+ hours to even get into a room. This place is absolutely ridiculous. Everyone is better off to go to Almonte er or Renfrew er.

2 hours waiting for someone to look at a mole. No communication no one going in. I stood up and left. Third world countries have better Free health systems in cities than this. Oh. They charged us for parking.

Liz is the worst triage nurse ever, she not only takes about half an hour to sign you up but she favours people and let's in dramatic ones rushed in. She had excuses after excuses and she takes her sweet time with things. She told me the wait would be an hour to two and I waited for 3 and a half while other people that came in after me went ahead of me, I felt ignored and discriminated.

Just spent 3 hours in alot of pain. Went to the triage nurse told her that I had intense back pain. She asked if I had any idea why. I told her that I had a lumbar decompression surgery with a spinal fushion last October and had some bad falls as of late. And she was In shock that I was so young ans had that type of surgery. Fast forward half an hour of sitting g she comes out with a urine sample collector. I hand it in,fast forward another hour and I'm still sitting on the chair pain getting worse 10 seconds from lying on the floor to try and remove my pain, finally I get taken in. Another hour and 15 min pass by of lying on the stiff bed with nothing done or nobody checking to see how I am. I decide I can't take it anymore so I left, I am gunna try and get in to see my family doctor tomorrow. Felt like I kinda got treated as a drug seeker

Caring, friendly, and efficient staff. Very nice hospital. We received excellent service from a number of pleasant and patient people. I cannot recall even one sour face. If you are accompanying someone and waiting, there is an excellent cafeteria on the ground floor where you can get a hot meal as well as sandwiches, wraps, and salad fixings from a mini salad bar-- also, a good assortment of drinks including coffee and tea, and some very good-looking dessert offerings. We received careful and detailed instructions about aftercare as we were leaving. Full marks and a big thank you to the Arnprior Hospital!

I went to the arnprior hospital 3 weeks ago with a gum issue I absolutely loved the hospital and asked while I was there if they were hiring as I wanted so badly to work there I am a certified PSW and they said they didn't hire PSW's i was willing to work as a cleaner there as I loved the hospital so much they were super nice. And caring there. And that's the place where I would be happy whether I was a cleaner or PSW...thankyou so much to the nurse and staff for taking great care of me

We have had both good and bad experiences. Recommendation for ER specifically would be to keep people informed or updated. TV Monitors are often kept up to date. The person on staff at the desk could be the one to inform people via a call from the nurses station to them. This would lesson the load on the nurses. My husband has been admitted 3 times in 2018 and I would have to say most of the ward staff is fairly responsive. As there are a lot of new nurses their enthusiasm is sometimes a drastic contrast to the seasoned nurses that have maxed out on their patience level. Tough line of work so that needs to be factored in as well

I had a 5 hour surgery at this hospital and I am very happy how I was treated by all aspects of the hospital from checkin and especially to the excellent aftercare I revived . The nurses and most staff were fantastic and there care was much better then i have had in other bigger hospitals in big city s . The only exception was the lady who severd the food in the afternoon who was extremely rude and threw my food dish on my table quite aggressively and rude with some getting on me and then vanished like she was in some huge hurry she was the only negative thing that happend there . Other then that this hospital was absolutely fantastic and I gave 5 stars still because I wanted the others to know what a good job they did
