Thought my daughter may have eaten a tide pod tonight. My first instiinstinct was to rush her to the ER, but really didn't want to go sit up there for hours to find out she had not actually eaten it. It was all in her hair, on her face and on the floor and we could not find the pod. So i called poison control and spoke with Julie. I'm so glad I made the decision to call. She was extremely helpful and walked me through what to do and what to watch for. After an hour it was time to follow up with her and my daughter had no symptoms and low and behold we found the tide pod in the washing machine!! Thank You Julie for your help!
Mark was wonderful! My son ate a dishwasher detergent pod m. My first instinct was to take him to the ER but didn t want to go if it wasn t necessary m. He definitely helped and was very knowledgeable. THANK YOU!!
Last night my husband accidentally took one to many of his evening pills. When he realized what he'd done he called his doctors office for advice but after an hour the doctor's office still had not called back. So, after watching his blood pressure going from his usual 127 up to 178 he called the Arkansas Poison Center & spoke to a very helpful lady. I'm sorry to say, he never got her name but she was most helpful. She told him what he needed to do & called him back 3 times to make sure he was doing OK.
I'm not saying to use this instead of your doctor but the Poison Center sure eased our minds & was there when the doctor's office wasn't.
