We have had nothing but problems when we have to go through the emergency area. Why does it take 7 hours to determine why a patient is having pains? Why do we have to sit and sit and sit before getting to see someone to help? Why are there no spacing for the covid in the waiting area? Why is the waiting area so small? People walk through all the time when you are waiting to be seen by staff, and they have nothing to do with the ER or the patient. I've sat there with my wife in pain and it's at least a couple of hours before she is even taken into a room, 20 minutes later, she is placed back out in the "lobby" area and we wait another hour before someone else takes her to another room. Last night we were in the so-called ER area for 6 hours before they determined she had fluid in her lungs and/or chest area. She was supposed to be placed in the hospital beginning around 10pm. I had to leave a bit after 1115 and she was still waiting for a room. I just contacted her at 1030am and she is still waiting for a room at AHH... this is absolutely pitiful for a person who has had problems at this hospital for the last several weeks, including having a couple of implants, one of which had to be corrected because it wasn't done properly.
