A truly wonderful, brilliant, and remarkable Archdiocese lead by a very fine leader by the name of Archbishop Thompson. The parishes within this diocese, especially those in Indianapolis are very kind, enlightened, and filled with priests who care and guide their flocks with the best possible resources. The churches and schools in the diocese are some of the finest in the land and are to be commended for their outstanding role in the region and their steady, and level leadership during these trying times is an inspiring sight and needs to be stood behind. The times, charges, and attacks against the church will continue by the unenlightened, and those who fail to see beyond their own noses. So long as we have those leaders of the church within the Archdiocese we as a whole shall prevail.

Bigoted and manipulative decision regarding Brebeuf Jesuit. Jesus says, judge not, lest ye shall be judged. It is some wonder, then, that the Church hypocritically continues to police sexual morality within the loving marriages of lay affiliates, even though its own history of actual sex abuse in the clergy leaves it without an ounce of real moral authority remaining in this realm.

Charles Thompson's hypocrisy is stunning. According to his own logic, he should be chucking out every teacher in Catholic schools who is divorced and remarried (I'm sure that's a lot of them). But he won't do that because...bigotry. It's easier to pick on gay folks because they're a minority. Great lesson they're teaching the students about injustice and scapegoating.

The Archdiocese is not only upholding the pillars of faith also standing like The Rock of St. Peter against contemporary evil that seeks to destroy the spiritual comforts of Catholic doctrine that has evolved over the millennia. Please note the orchestrated tirade against the Archdiocese that appeared about two months ago in Google reviews, a misguided harangue concentrated on a "social justice" tenent that is at once divisive and secular. Keep these heathens behind you and trust in God.

Great Archdiocese that has served me well since 1990. Wonderful hardworking priests, great schools, faithful people. Anti-Catholicism is in style again as shown in these comments. "The act of defending any of the cardinal virtues has today all the exhilaration of a vice." -GK Chesterton

Are they not using birth control. Are they not divorcing and if they do, are their divorce is annulled before remarrying. The same sex marriage is not recognized, so by the Roman catholic faith so the marriage doesn't exist like Protestant / Roman catholic marriage

I'd advise keeping children away from these people. Charles C. Thompson is a horrible man who acts in defiance of the real gospel of Jesus Christ. Until such awful people have been purged from the church it will be stained by their presence.

1 Peter 4:8: Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."

John 15:12: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you."

Your fairy tales tell you to love people, but your bigoted minds tell you to hate. As usual, great job at being hypocrites.

The Archbishop of Indianapolis and hypocrisy go to...

The Archbishop of Indianapolis and hypocrisy go together like peanut butter and jelly. Every straight staff member who is co-habitating with anyone else in a romantic relationship is violating Catholic doctrine. Why aren't they all being fired? Does the Archbishop intend to ask them if they are using birth control? If they are, according to his interpretation of policy, they need to go. How about priests accused of any type of malfeasance? Shouldn't the schools, parishes and institutions with which they were associated be stripped of the title "Catholic" as well? The Archbishop isn't upholding Catholic doctrine - he's upholding clericalism and hypocrisy at their finest. He's on an anti-gay witch hunt while everyone else violating church teaching is getting a pass, or at least keeping their jobs. If he had any dignity and respect for his sacred office, he would resign. I pray that parishioners speak with their pockets - until the Archbishop changes his mind or resigns, not one dime for the diocese. I hope parents in the Catholic schools impacted by his policies withhold everything but tuition. Money always talks, and this time, it needs to be heard.

The Earth is not such a friendly place today and anything to do with God should not be negative the way you are handling this teacher. Gods watching you! It s not your place to judge! It s Gods!

You should be ashamed of yourself. With all of the scandals where priests have victimized young boys, you should not be attacking two adults in a loving, committed relationship while teaching children that such a bigotry is appropriate. It's one of many reasons I've rejected my Catholic upbringing.

In your actions, which are antithetical to the teachings of Jesus, you have become the anti-Christ.

I am proud that our God loving bishop Charles has taken a stand for orthodoxy. It is rare to find a clergyman who stands up for the Truth nowadays. Most have succumbed to liberal, modernist ideology and think Jesus said "not to judge" anyone's sins (reread your Bible and go back to catechism class).

Please take a moment to truly reflect on what love...

Please take a moment to truly reflect on what love is, what God is, and your role in spreading that message. There is no requirement that you accept, understand, or condone actions you believe are wrong. I am not challenging your ideas on this point. However you are required to love that person. How would firing someone, or compelling a school to fire someone be an act of love? What a hateful act to require a school to fire a beloved teacher? Then when they refuse, to abandon all the teachers and students? Your actions are not consistent with the teachings of Jesus. You have allowed hate and fear to guide your heart. I will praying for you.

The message you are sending is one of discrimination and exclusion regarding your decision about Brebeuf School. God is very disappointed, because his messages were all about love and taking care of the marginalized.

The archbishop needs to get a clue. He s fallible as a human and should ask gods forgiveness for shunning any part of the flock that was God s gift to the bishop. Love is from god. Hate is not. Take the hate out of your heart.

Thank you Abp Thompson for upholding the teaching of Christ. Hopefully, those who malign you for doing so, will open their hearts and minds so that they may understand what Truth is and stop being lead into error by their emotions and our fallen society. May God bless you.

What the Catholic Church did was essentially blackmail Cathedral High School into a no-win situation. It s administrators had no choice ... it didn t want to risk losing non-profit status.

I hope the Catholic community shows its disapproval of the Church s ultimatum by cutting back on Sunday donations!
