I love the AOD! The greater Detroit area is a place where someone can find people who are truly seeking out Jesus and trying their hardest to lead a joyful life as a disciple. The Archbishop is doing a fantastic job of turning the tide of the culture in the area by raising a band of missionary disciples. I'm so excited for the future of this amazing archdiocese! :-D

Not enough transparency about exactly where all funds collected go and why. Too vague. A of D has too many parishes involved in liturgical abuses. Too many priests removed or shipped under vague or mysterious circumstances. Primary focus seems to be money instead of feeding and ministering to the sheep.

This pope is not Benedict or JP II. He is not going to put up with nastiness and cruelty to gays and lesbians from any bishop. Yes he opposes gay marriage.
Denying Gay Catholics the right to worship God at the IC college will be crossing the line.

Once media pick up on this a bishop will be summoned to Rome for a chat. Just wait and see...
Don't overplay your power and authority bishop.

They serve God above all else. They do what is right, not what is popular or politically correct. The Churches authority comes from God and NOT from human beings. If the Church straighs in anyway from doing what is God's will then it loses it's legitimacy and becomes a false religion.

What gives you guys the right to take away the name of a well respected priest father William brennan at st sebastian catholic church. This is why Catholics dont want to attend church. Current priest is in a bad position. Them gifts were gifts from previous students taken away by this terrible archdiocese. They took the name of a well respected priest of everything that had his name on it at our church

Its a nice thing to do what you are to do get your life right. We at our church love god and I'm proud to be a good secular, our catholic religion doesn't put the screws to you. People are using the church to harass the people. Thus man name Denis from a church called perfecting faith thought that taking a picture of the clergy gave him permission to talk to people about what they are to do in the church. I for one dont support everyfaith and I don't need to be told to get my but in church. These people don't pay my bills and I'm not doing nothing. We are here to live rge gisplw to life and life to gospel. Not have make believe ministers useung our bisoo for their means. I think this site is a great access. And that. When the clergy is not busy, they take time to read and protect the parisners. We love our god. Stop the interference of others we have to stand up and fight for what's right. Thanks no more Denis the skcook!!!!

Besides all of the bad press illuminating how the Catholic Church allowed children to be molested and it was swept under the rug, adults are no more safe than the children. I was attending U of D Mercy as a graduate student in the Fall of 2010, ( my undergraduate Alma Mater) when I was physically threatened and intimidated by a Professor in front of the entire class. I had seen him behave the same way towards a male student a week or two earlier. I was terrified and immediately emailed my advisor. She refused to even investigate and just said work it out with him, he is her colleague and can't believe that of him. Since he also claimed to be a certified counselor, I attempted to contact the credentialing board and found on Google, thevery first entry was about Prof. Garraway's erratic behavior at Oakland University. I emailed my advisor and the Dean to tell them I was paralyzed with fear of this man. No action was taken but I thought I had reach the right person in some Student Advocate type department, Ms. Williams, I believe. She was righteously indignant about the way I was treated and said she would investigate and get back to me. That was last November. I had to leave campus as I was afraid to continue classes at night where I could be attacked by this raving madman at anytime. Needless to say, I was never contacted, but today received a letter form a collection agency for dropping out for over $5000. I would never have left school if it weren't a hostile environment. I returned to Wayne State in the heart of the city and have never felt safer. Imagine that, leaving a documented unstable professor in a role where he can taunt, terrify and intimidate female students. All you had to do was the vet the man to see he is unstable.. I might as well be a little boy in a confessional with a dirty old priest.

I have been a Catholic all my life and for the first time, I am giving the AOD a poor review. I attended a white coat ceremony at University of Detroit and was so ashamed of the "innovation" the Provost and guest speaker spent more time trying to be politically correct that they seemed ashamed of saying God or Jesus Christ. This is a CATHOLIC university ... if people are offended by our religion, do not go to a CATHOLIC university. I am not asking everyone to convert, but if the leaders of the school cannot stand up for Christ, they should GET OUT! But this seems to be systematically happening within the AOD, I have see it at Notre Dame Prep, Holy Family Elementary/Middle school, Detroit Mercy they are all caving to liberal indoctrination --- they really do not teach Catholic teaching they are far more secular. They seem to almost apologize for our Faith. Then the final straw was today at Mass, the Archbishop's letter. I disdain any acts of pedophilia, breach of trust etc, but I think again they are caving to the media and the ant-Catholic sentiments that are in our liberal society. Where in his letter did he commend all the good priests? Why could he not also address that there is a war against our Religion? There are bad apples in EVERY segment of society (unfortunately) but in his letter, he never address that our main priority as Catholics to listen to God, believe in God and in Jesus Christ and at the same time ensure that everyone is safe and we get rid of the few bad apples not the whole orchard.

The Archdiocese of Detroit has done an amazing job to keep us safe during a world-wide pandemic by providing live-stream access to services. Their wise decision to cancel services will save lives and help healthcare workers not be overwhelmed with a rising number of cases of COVID-19 by those who ignore social distancing guidelines.

Great charitable works. 5 stars.

Saint Molokai parish in Pontiac, very needy.
Alter candles are expensive! not to mention we have no literature rack.
Just think, $5 weekly to our parish, $3 a week to the CSA, and $2 every week to Peter's Pence. That's $2 billion every week for the Holy Father's philanthropic pursuites.

This is one of the most evil systems that I have ever been a part of. I have sought prayer as I went in person. A woman named Debbie had some bizarre revelations as she assisted a priest. I discovered just how much foul play is a part of this pit of snakes called the arch diocese. When I learned that they eventually blamed me when I reported abuse an employee at the diocese confided that they did this to me to stave off lawsuits.
