The best outdoor clothing brand. Amazing customer service, offering free repairs and replacements on warranty for problems such as zipper, delam, etc. Albeit the high-end price tag, you know it will be a lifetime investment on a quality product, well designed and constructed, using the best materials available, and the best sewing/taping technologies, made to last many decades to come! The product line changes for the better to suit the evolving outdoor enthusiasts needs, and everyday needs alike!
As an example, the new Norvan LD2 is the best pair of shoes you can get right now! How many companies actually use the expensive, top of the industry Vibram LiteBase sole, that is both comfortable/durable and lightweight!?
Words cannot express my admiration for this company. And I am not paid for writing this review!

My ski jacket is in for repair the second time, this time because of my own fault. The first time it was in, the zipper wouldn't work, and while it was in for repair they noted a tear in the back and repaired it at the same time. This is the reason for buying products like this with a lifetime warranty. You pay more upfront, but save yourself headaches later. I would buy again from this company anytime, and I have to be honest that before I found this jacket I had never heard of this company. Great product, and excellent customer service.
Arc'teryx seems like a really good quality garment manufacturer, but the people in modeling seem really grumpy with bad hair styles, especially men. The models don't smile or they are told not to smile. The garments are way over priced, but then again the company is in Canada. I guess I'll stick to Eddie Bauer and LL Bean in the USA, where people smile and give a decent impression of their clothing that they are wearing and modeling.
Katie is awesome! She was super helpful when I had to send my bag in for repair. She never sounded annoyed when I called her to get updates on my bag (which was a lot). And she got the bag to me in time for my next trip which was a tight schedule. 5 huge gold stars for Katie.
For such expensive products they use UPS instead of canada post... there have been many cases of stolen packaged goods and yet arc'teryx just dont care....
Really good products. At the same time returns & repairs are such a hassle and they don't stand by their quality in my honest opinion. It takes weeks to ship them returns (send to US then internal transport to Canada) then it takes another month until you even hear back from them. Then they claim its not a quality issue and repair is not possible and offer you discount on a new product (ecological footprint?). For me a reason to not buy anymore. Patagonia has much more customer & environmental friendly policy and truly stands behind their quality..
Really challenging experience dealing with the warranty department. Speaking to multiple reps - around 5-6, as every time I called back, the original person that I spoke to was unavailable. Every time I speak to a rep, there is a diff. story as to what can be done with inconsistent information. I was hung up on several times without a call back, I had to call them back to figure out what was going on. When I speak to a diff rep, the details have to be repeated, which is not a good use of time. Think about all the time that's wasted to go through things again and again. Their staff make it difficult to get things done efficiently and unfortunately, it's the customers that have to deal with this.
When you ask for the name of the person that helped you, they say that they can't find him/her. How professional is this? I ask them to call me back and have to email them and keep calling to get this sorted. I find out that there are about 20 people in this department which I would think they can communicate with each other?!
How would you feel if you were in this situation?
One person says that it's the last time there can be a refund/exchange, another person says that they want to make sure we are happy, so we can exchange...all different stories without consistency. One person says there's no tax charged, another says there is. What do you believe and how do you trust a company with ppl that keep changing their stories?
Esp when the product has not been performing and all the sizes and styles that we wanted are out of stock, there needs to be more focus on making things easier for the customer.
They've sent us to the store to have us try on the right size, style as you can't get the product directly from the store, it needs to be from their website. Think about the time and the energy to be in this situation, how would you feel? On top of everything, they make you feel like it's your fault even though the product is not performing. The attitude of their staff is poor - it would help to show more empathy instead of being angry and frustrated at the customer - not a good experience at all!
I am a frequent shopper of your store and usually I have a great experience. But on 08/16/2021 @ 5:37pm I came in to return a pair of shorts I bought. The sales staff was great but the manager was hostile and her attitude was absolutely unacceptable. I have never been so insulted. I was even buying a $90 shirt as well as returning the shorts and upgrading them for $240 mens Paltz shorts and jacket , and she would not accomodate me at all. I am strongly considering never coming back to your store in the near future. Please have someone from your head office contact me ASAP. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks
