Have been diving for 7 years now. The people that work at this shop are very rude. I called to asked questions and they said everything was online, once you sign up. How was I suppose to know the info before I've signed up. Equipment and classes prices are high compared to local shops and online. Go somewhere else if you want good service. There are a lot of great shops out there!

One of the last places in Milwaukee where they have complete dive service from charters to equipment to servicing your equipment very knowledgeable staff very helpful
What a great business with fantastic employees. I took my open water scuba course with Aquatic Adventures and what a wonderful experience. From signing up to receiving my certificate, it was a smooth and enjoyable process. Definitely a great value and they have very competitive prices on gear with a very large selection in the store. All my gear is perfect for what I need and I am very satisfied. I think the best thing however is the staff. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and so helpful. Not once did I feel like I was treated less than an equal even though I knew nothing. Five out of five stars to Aquatic Adventures. I d give 10 out of 5 if I could!
I had a referral and did the open water dives here. The staff were super nice and helpful. Peggy&Paul are great instructors and I had a really good time :)
I've been diving for 3 years now. The instructors and dive masters are great teachers. I've always felt safe and prepared when diving with them. They have always provided great service and gear.
When I decided to start diving a year ago, I researched the local dive shops in the area (surprisingly there were a few options) and decided take the class through Aquatic Adventures. I have to admit that the deciding factor for me was the price. They are priced between the other two stores in the area. Big mistake.... First, they use the UWM pool for their pool portion of the class. The class only reserves two swimming lanes (insufficient) and the other lanes are occupied by other swimmers (who show no respect for the class). It is extremely distracting and I do not know how they continue to use that pool. Also, the instructor overweighted everyone in class so they would be stuck to the bottom of the pool.. My knees were bruised by the end of the weekend because I was overweighted by about 20 lbs. Then, to complete the 2 day open water dives they make you drive 3 hours a day to south Beloit.(which was 3 weeks later no earlier dates) The visibility goes to about 3ft in 1 hour becasue once again it is overcrwded with other dive stores. By the end of the class with all the hidden fees and class it ended up costing over $400 to complete the class... I felt completly scammed and frustrated...
My husband and I both did our SCUBA certification here and it was wonderful. They are very thorough in explanation and good when in the water. I was very nervous about this but the experience was great. Our instructor was awesome and made us both feel comfortable with the equipment in the water.
We purchased snorkeling equipment here late last year and came back today to ask a question... bought some more stuff. They are the most helpful and fun people. Highly recommend you shop here.
As my daughter was pursuing a career in Marine Biology, she asked me to be her dive partner. My husband was already certified. I was afraid at first, being older and not understanding the diving process. As we took classes and practiced skills this began my confidence with the equipment and my abilities to dive safety. The first certification was wonderful because we started in the pool and worked our way to Pearl lake. The instructor varied in age so I could confide in the different concerns I had. GOT my open water swim certification..Then my daughter told me we have to get advance open water swim.. What ??? Go into the cold waters of lake Michigan? and go 70ft deep? As we jumped into the cold water of Lake Michigan and started to descend to the ship all my coldness went away, the ship was so majestic and awesome, with some fish hanging around the wreck.. With Jerry the owner leading the way, Vince and Holly following, we had a great time.. Thanks for all your help.. Pam
This is my go to shop for all of my spearfishing and freediving equipment. I've been coming here for about ten years, and with that said I highly recommend Aquatic Adventures!
Got certified this spring and it has become an addiction ever since. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable every time I visit. Highly recommended for anyone even slightly interested scuba or just having questions about it.
Be very careful when renting from this company. We rented a full set of dive equipment on 8/1/15. We made our reservation for the equipment rental two weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told that most of the "better" equipment was already rented out for some dive picnic (we were never told this prior to the rental).
We get to the lake and my wife s BCD wouldn't stay inflated. In addition, her older model of BCD only had two small pockets. These small pockets wouldn't hold enough weight to get her to the bottom. On top of this, they didn't give us enough weight (they don't have weight belts) to get to the bottom of the lake.
Needless to say she wasn't able to dive and since it s unsafe to dive without a buddy, I only dove for 10 minutes. I only used a 1/4 of the air in one of my tanks and didn't touch my second. My wife didn't use either of her tanks.
We went back to the shop and explained our experience and were told that the manager was not on duty and they could not offer a refund or any other solution. They gave use the manager's contact info and we tried contacting this manager twice and also tried 2 other contacts we had for the shop. We never received a response from Aquatic Adventures.
From what we have experienced, they are very poor on customer service and their equipment that we paid $300 to rent was just a waste of money.
I would strongly caution anyone who is thinking about renting from this facility.
I was just certified and decided to try out the treasure dive at Pearl lake hosted by Aquatic Adventures. I went by myself and had no idea what to expect. I was very impressed! They were extremely and friendly hooked my up with an experienced dive buddy almost right away. I was originally just going to get dive experience and didn't have much interest in looking for a treasure. To my surprise I found one and was again impressed with the prizes. Very nice dive equipment was given out. Good job Jenny and team I look forward to diving with you again sometime soon!!
I have found Aquatic Adventures to have the most professional safety conscious staff of all the dive shops in the metro Milwaukee area, and to top it off they are a lot of fun too. They offer a full range of classes and services in the shop as well as equipment at reasonable prices. The staff in the store is trained and know the products that they are selling, they will work with you to make sure you get the right equipment for what you want to do. Then there are the trips, well organized and planned and a heck of a lot of fun. I took a trip with Jerry, Jenny and a number of other local divers to the Florida Keys. 4 days of awesome diving and a fun group to spend time with out of the water too. If you are looking for a Dive Center to train you, service your equipment and help you experience more of the dive life, you have come to the right place. Thanks Jerry, Jenny and the rest of the AAI Staff keep up the great work.
OUTSTANDING! Had to get my tank hydro/visual inspected. Quote was spot on! The female sales associate went out of her way, out of pure kindness, to make sure it was done over a week early in time for my trip. I really appreciate the great service, and every employee came up to me in a timely manner to see if I needed any assistance. Very social group! Thanks again!
I found Aquatic Adventures fairly recently (only in the last few years) and I wish I would have done so earlier. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. The shop is convenient, clean, and well organized. I have recommended it to friends and I will continue to do so. Excellent!
Daughter and I had very good experiences with Aquatic Adventures; Great shop with good prices, knowledgeable staff and instructors, fun charters and dives.
I find the store well equipped and fully stocked with quality equipment that will survive the Wisconsin diving conditions year round. Everything is fairly priced with excellent customer service to help you make the perfect gear selections.
The instruction staff is wonderful! Everyone is very professional, the classes are well run and FUN! Coming to AAI as a Divemaster, I have achieved the levels of Assistant Instructor and TEC-40 diver under their tutelage. My wife, a non-diver until 2012, started in May with her Open Water class and completed Rescue Diver by the end of the season, all with the caring guidance of the excellent instruction staff. Thanks to the confidence building and care of the staff at AAI, I now have the best dive buddy a man could every hope for.
This store is a hearty "Recommend" to any in the area who are looking to start diving, add to their experience, or shop for quality equipment.
