I wish I looked at the review from 6 years ago. They are still the same. I almost forgot if you do decide to work there they don't hire people over 40 years old (just to look good they might let you work for a week and them fire you REALLY!!!!.

I worked with one of the recruiters from AppleOne and attended F2F interview for an IT job in Chicago, and was told that I was selected for the position and extended the offer letter after couple days of interview. And they sent me all the paper work needed to complete as part of the on-boarding process and I send them back including personal documents. When I called couple times to find out the start date of the project, to my surprise they mentioned that the position that I was offered for is not approved by HR(end client). It's no joke at first place no position would come out without HR approval and the hiring manager told me they did interview many candidates for that position. There is no answer to my questions asked to the recruiter over the email. These people are really unprofessional, unethical ,and insane they do not have any respect or values towards another person. I had to loose my another job offer due to this company. It's a total fake, I believe they are gathering all the sensitive information like someone mentioned in the other reviews for their own benefits. Be extra cautious while dealing with these insane people.
Did an assignment a week ago, was supposed to get paid on Friday! The payroll person did not put in my time with the rest and has delayed my payroll. I AM LIVID AND WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE NOR WILL I ACCEPT ANOTHER ASSIGNMENT!!! Not to mention the bills are not met! I lost my deposit on my wedding dress because I couldn't pay the rest of my portion I have the mind right now to SUE!!!
very unoraganized, unprofessional, does't communicate well with each other having you email your resume over and over. every person you deal with becomes unavailable no forms of communicating never got sent on an assignment never return calls
I recommend AppleOne Employment, and in particular the Chicago office, as excellent and dedicated professionals will work with you closely and guide you through the employment search process.
At first I thought it would be a pleasant experience, the recruiter seemed friendly and like she was actually listening and would help me find the perfect fit. Turns out she was only looking out for herself to get commission for placing me anywhere. I tried talking to her several times that the job she placed me in was not working out but she just wouldn't listen and told me I had to work there and she would stop by weekly and make sure I was doing my job. She was extremely rude afterwards, so I just didn't show up anymore. She then kept calling and texting me to answer her and became the "friendly recruiter" I met at first. I would not recommend going with them, she was supposedly one of the best recruiters there.
A waste of time! I interviewed with them back in May 2017 and I still haven't been contacted for a assignment. Very unprofessional and I could not get in contact with my recruiter properly. She never returned phone calls and never left voicemails.
So, I yelped this company back in 2015. I tried to write a second review but it didn't work. Thank goodness there are more than one platforms to share your experience.
I currently work for this agency and have experienced complete incompetency. Most recently, my recruiter Angela Forcucci got me a job. I love my job and I get to work with some amazing people. However, what I was hired for and what I am doing is completely different. I am doing work of a system analyst and that is nowhere near what I was hired for. Sometimes things like this happened. A good agency would recognize this and make up the pay with fair market. Unfortunately, I was told by Angela that I had to wait to December. So, I waited. Now December is here and she tells me I have to wait to February. I will wait for February just to hear her say that I have to wait till March. Ironically, my contract is over in March. I have never been handled like this from any agency. This is a lesson learned.
Now. the payroll coordinator, Melanie Davis completely messed up my paycheck. 1st she overpaid me and then she sends me a form that was so tiny I couldn't read it, she sends back another one. I signed it, check the box stating that I WILL SEND A CHECK. Can you guess what she did? She took it out of my payroll!!!! The Branch Manager, Marissa Battiest, tried to justify the illegal deduction from my paycheck and basically told me if I have a problem, I need to take it up with the legal department. I think I will do just that, thank you for your advice.
I am reviewing this company based off of my personal experience.
Go to Yelp for my previous review regarding my experience back in 2015. I had a paycheck issue then too.
The staffing seemed professional and willing to help until it came time to issue an assignment. After countless contact attempts with my temp agent. He would always give an excuse and made it seem as if it was somehow my fault in the type of work I preferred. Having waiting two months still not having an assignment I offered the option of anything that I qualified for in any field due to no source of income which I informed him and still no avail. I have not been contacted with a single update nor assignment. Sadly it was a waste of time because it seemed very promising at the time. I hope future endeavors with this company with others clients are better resolved and receive the help I did not.
Applied online thru LinkedIn for a job they posted, so they had me go through their application process; what a waste! I filled out all this information online which they didn't have when I came to the office and this lazy recruiter had me send her my references. I call back a week later to check the status and it was like we never even talked after spending 2 hours in that damn office. They do everything in that office but work! Terrible - never again!
I recently worked with ApplOne Employment in Chicago. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. I was hired for an internal position as an operations coordinator. I was told it was a Full-time/Permanent position. Well, the week before our regional Manager, Shane Riley, is rescheduled to come out for a visit from CA, he calls to speak to each of us individualy. He thanked me for my hard work, for "coming out with guns blazing," wanted to talk about a promotion and getting me into a role making more money, and thank me for fixing my 'attendace issue.' (I had the actual flu, Strain A with a docs note, a dentist's note from an infected root canal...) Not like some of the other employees. (Even the new Assistant Branch Manager, Matt Petrash, asked me about certain people's attendance patterns.) My in/out time changed 3Xs, but I made it to work on time regularly unlike the Branch Manager, herself, Marisa Battiest, and other employees as well. I was called by Marisa after hours, the Friday before Shane's arrival, and told that "we decided that today would be" my last day. I had no clue it was coming. No written warning, or affirmations (their form of correction). Only a general warning at morning meetings (and when I called to tell her I had the flu. She asked me to please still come in, so I did.) I was "asked" to come in at about 10:00 on Monday to return the suite pass and key. I arrived at 8:40, the time of the morning meeting. I wanted to ask what happened and why... To me, I was used to clean up a holy terror of a mess, then I wasn't needed any more. I was told that it had nothing to do with performance. (I already knew that.) Even without real training (2 days of a member of Corporate coming out to chit chat) or mentoring, I feel I was picking up and keeping pace rather well! Shane wanted to "end things on a good note." I was going to be placed immediately.(Sure, the could make commission off me!) I asked about my final check... to just have mailed to me, I didn't want to have to come back in. (I commute.) Oh, the paycheck I received on Friday WAS my final check. AND I was shorted 10hrs!!!! They do not treat their employees well, so why would you expect them to find quality employees for you? #BEWARNED
I have to say I'm really dissapointed. I went in for the interview and was excited to be placed in a job, seemed like everything would work well. After the interview, which happened December 2nd, I have not heard anything back. When I called for an update the advisor told me I needed to be patient. It's almost Christmas and I haven't heard any response or update. No courtesy calls, nothing. I even applied for jobs through their website and still no response.
I'm really dissaponted, I got my hopes up for what possible opportunities I would never encounter.
I am over qualified for the positions I was initially presented. Never been placed with a single position after assuring every time my information was submitted. I even spoke to a manager and they assured me the same thing and days later, I'd get another excuse about the client not responding or canceling their contracts. Overall, my experience was completely unprofessional and unsuccessful and I am convinced my information was being used for other purposes. Every month I'd end up with a different recruiter. I was always told that the last recruiter either quit or was let go. I would never recommend this establishment.
As the Operations Coordinator, Melanie Davis' role is pivotal for the Chicago offices day-to-day functions. Melanie epitomizes the characteristic qualities of a business professional by promptly addressing candidate concerns. Melanie's Customer Service skills and multi-tasking abilities demonstrate that she is an integral asset to AppleOne, and she always conducts a follow-up to ensure your issues have been properly resolved. Melanie has proven that making a positive contribution has a significant impact upon client relations. Melanie consistently has done a GREAT JOB representing AppleOne throughout from our first meeting, and she is pleasantly a welcomed addition to the AppleOne Team.
