Anthem Community Center Review

Picked up two 2500 gal tanks from the softball fields, the fields were clean from the party the night before. I was impressed!

Got our 3 year old signed up for his first soccer class and got him very excited all week. When we show up they say oh whoops it's cancelled. Saturday morning ruined... well done ACC. To bad it's forced dues.

I love going to this pool. All of the lifeguards are extremely polite even when enforcing rules.

This is a very clean and well-maintained community amenity. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The members are polite and considerate.

It is a privilege to live in the quiet and peaceful community of Anthem, Arizona.

The manager and life guards were very rude . Soon as I sat on edge of pool to watch my grandkids Ava life guard looked at me and said I need to watch my grandkids . I said that's why I am sitting on edge of pool next to you so you can help me . I am disabled and , am a senior and had my grandkids there she called the manager Kevin told me the Life Guards are there for watching the water not the kids , he said they aren't there to save lives and I have my 4 year old grandson take off his life jacket even when he feels safe with it on , because their life guards aren't there to watch the kids from drowning but to watch the Water . He was arrogant and rude and I left in a hour and disappointed my 4 grandkids that were being good and having fun . Never go back again !!

Watching family basketball nice place has pool park great for families to enjoy

The community center is a good environment, great gym, pretty nice facilities. My only problem, which is a pretty big one, is the fact that about every other month, i get suspended from the community center. i have never gotten in trouble there once, i actually want to work there when Im 16. I get suspended because the HOA puts invisible fees on my dads account, and they do this because he doesn't put up with them. he has been disrespected and shut down by the HOA with fees and other annoying garbage. an example is when we moved out here, we had palm trees. we got fined $1,500 for having them. i was suspended for it. its annoying, and I'm quite fed up with it.

Rude staff, the lady in charge of memberships is obnoxious and arrogant. No other choice since it is part of the HOA fees. I've heard that the Director is also rude. New management is probably needed.

This facility is top notch. Their training drills seem extremely rigorous and they look very professional in their drills. The aquatics director Desiree is very often checking up on the lifeguard staff which really shows that she cares. I've witnessed the Lifeguard's rescue multiple children who were in danger and they have all been very heroic. All of the lifegaurds here are clearly extremely well trained and overall nice people. 10/10 will return.

Every time I visit this facility I am reminded how well-designed, built and maintained this community center is. It is a world class facility without a doubt!

I am a from Sweden and i a come here to a america with my Family and check as guest and staff was very nice and nice fun!! mykiids do rockwall and have great time. Workers are nice to everybody and have good times!

Got out of my car, lit cigarette, and the security guard told me to put it out so I did. He then followed me and my 6 year old to the water park, parked and watched us. Isn't this harassment? I decided we were leaving since he decided he needed to watch my six year old and I, then he followed me back to my car. Made us uncomfortable the whole time. Does smoking make me a trouble maker that needs to be watched?

Make sure you read the fine print and know the EXACT time you want your reservation time to be. My family went to the Ramada on time trying to set up before I got there and told the party that had taken over my Ramada that it was reserved; they responded that they had been there all day. I had reserved that Ramada two weeks before my gender reveal party which was supposed to be a joyous occasion for my family and I but because of a huge error due to the staff my reservation was not posted on the Ramada. Because of this avoidable error both me and my family had to ask a family to move out of the Ramada for my party. They eventually moved-literally three feet away from our Ramada and was still using a part of our Ramada. It took them about 30 minutes to move and left a huge mess! It took me and my family another 15 minutes to clean the Ramada; so now that is 45 minutes of time I lost from my party. I actually had to leave the party and get trash bags from my house because of the huge mess they left and the overflowing garbage everywhere! I called ACC on Monday and told them the situation.. I was then blamed because I showed up past the time of my reservation and "forfeited" my Ramada. This makes absolutely no sense! My family was there ON TIME wanting to set up for my husband and I's gender reveal! We were literally grabbing things in the parking lot at 5:15 and by the time we gathered everything and brought it to the Ramada yes it was probably a whole 5 minutes difference! Our reservation time was for 5 o clock. My parents were there at 5:10 and my husband was there at 5:10 and I was there at 5:15 (walking up to the Ramada at 5:20 ish)The rules say that if you are more than 15 minutes late you forfeit your Ramada but my family was there on time trying to set up for the pregnant women (me)! So after pointing the finger at me, I brought up that my name was NOT posted on the roster. They said that a person went from Ramada to Ramada all day and told people that individuals had certain times and Ramada's reserved but I find it hard to believe since my family told me that the other family had been there the entire day and had no idea about my reservation!! I paid 60.00 for a few hour reservation time slot and lost 45 minutes of my party. All I was asking for was reimbursement for lost time at my party due to an error the ACC caused!!! The atmosphere had changed the whole time during our party because of the awkwardness that was put on my family and I to ask the family to move. It put a huge damper on my gender reveal. My husband and I love coming to this park but I will never reserve anything from ACC again! I wanted to post this so others know about the splitting of hairs the staff used against me and I hope no one else is put in this situation!

Great time with g-kids at outdoor pool. Life guards were very professional: attentive, watchful, interacted well with the swimmers.

A beautiful asset for Anthem. Aquatics, athletic and classroom facilities.

Small but nice. Always clean and everyone is always friendly. The classes are pretty good as well.

Mark is a great manager. Kevin is a stellar guy. Desi is a great swim manager. Brie has changed the childs programs for the better. Jeff is a joy to work with. The front desk staff is awesome especially bryce Whitman.

We love Anthem! This is a great facility! The water park and rock wall are especially awesome for kids. I hope they expand and update the gym portion soon, but we love coming here with the family.

I was wrongfully / illegally discriminated against for parking a large cargo van in the lot. Two ladies called the deputy sheriff on 4/9/20 around 6pm claiming I was camping there for hours. They lied to the sheriff and caused wasting of resources for him to come out. They claimed I was trespassing on private property. This is a public community center. There were several other cars parked there to enjoy the adjacent park just like me. I was profiled. There was no probable cause. Management: I have video. Those two ladies should be fired or at least disciplined.

Michael billingsley and gabe leite were very helpful the other day when I was at the community center. I haven gone there in years and they really set a great tone for the new staff.

I have lived in Anthem for 17 years, since 2002, and the Community Center has been a great asset! When my kids were young, we would frequent the water park despite having our own pool. My kids attended many classes and camps over the years and the programs and staff are top notch! My oldest son is disabled but they still allowed him to join the life guard program for several years and he shadowed a life guard and was given tasks safe for him and the pool guests. I have used the community center gym sporadically over the years. The variety of available equipment is impressive and it is always kept clean and in good working order -- because of this, I have rarely waited longer than a minute to use any equipment. About a year ago, I began routinely going to several of the fitness and yoga classes. There is a great variety of classes available and the trainers are fabulous! Now I mostly go to the Vinyasa yoga classes. Seth and Ginger are fabulous and their yoga classes are challenging and a great workout! I particularly love how Seth guides his classes and assists his yogis to perfect our practice and poses and help is grow. I just wish there were several of these advanced Vinyasa yoga classes available every day.... I would go every day LOL! We are so lucky to have this great amenity with such great staff.... I absolutely Anthem!!!

Great staff very friendly and a nice gym.. it can be a bit crowded.

This center has everything. Full court ball, plenty of exercise equipment, Olympic pool, diving pool, climbing wall volleyball, kids water slide area, train, fishing and lots of parking.

Rude teenage staff and rules that don t make sense. You pay so much in HOA fees just to be disrespected.
Where s the management....

Lived here for 10+ years. Workers come and go, but the Community Center has always been great.

Love the Energy of the Zumba classes here. Always feel comfortable and the instructors are Awesome!

Worst place to go to. Customer Service person, Mark, is rude and doesn't seem to care about residents or guests. Director Kevin Shaffer is also rude, blunt, and just flat out disrespectful. My family and I have removed our membership and will NOT be returning to the Community Center or the Park.

Excellent facilities, lots of teens employed here and they are all polite and well trained.

The pool and gym are always kept clean and in good shape, and the works are always attentive and willing to help. The water park is always fun as well, no matter how old you are.

You know the Anthem CC is really grand place to relax for me and my family. I always enjoy myself in the Water Park, the lifeguards are extremely polite and are hands down the best trained lifeguards I've ever seen. The Aquatic Director Desi is a very good boss to her employees, although the training drills seem to be tough the lifeguards are very well trained especially Taylor W, Michael N, Jack K, Michael B.13/13 would come back

Terrible terrible scheduling system! I have an appointment/reservation for 7pm and I don t appear in there for whatever reason This happens to me 2 to 3 times Per week

Just moved and joined. I am impressed with the center and all that it offers. The gym equipment is clean and well maintained. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to more activities there.
