Annerley - the midwives clinic Reviews

When we found out we were pregnant we immediately went to the Annerly website to sign up for the next Just Pregnant session to figure out our next steps. We already knew we would book some home visits based on rave reviews from several friends.
The Just Pregnant session was very informative, great overview of birth options in Hong Kong and the pros and cons of each. Additionally it didn t at all feel like a sales pitch for Annerley, which we appreciated.
Being both a first time, and geriatric Mom I was worried about the level of antenatal support I d get by going public, but also was feeling I couldn t justify the cost of doing private when there is a excellent level of practice in the public system for giving birth. After discussing my husband and I felt the Nexus package would be a good compromise between the two options; that it was and more!
I cannot speak enough about the level of personalized care and support Annerley provided with our Nexus package, and beyond! The regular meetings with your midwife, we were lucky enough to work with Michelle, doctors check ups at key points, antenatal classes, and especially the WhatsApp support put is in a situation where we were exceptionally well informed. I spoke with many other moms who either went fully public or private and was often surprised about things they had not been made aware of, from simple things like what you need in a hospital bag, to more specific details like how to check your water to see if it contains meconium. We received so much knowledge and awareness as well.
I think the WhatsApp support was one if the most valuable features for me. To have access to a midwife 24 hours a day is not only reassuring, but a real benefit. When I had issues I had advice and encouragement at anytime. We certainly took advantage of this feature and in would advise all moms, regardless of the package, to get this feature.
The home visits were also invaluable. Michelle provided us with do much support and reassurance as we navigated life with a newborn. It was a relief to have expert advice in the comfort of your own home, especially at a time when getting out of the house seems nearly impossible!
I would recommend the Nexus package to anyone, looking back at the packages on offer I'm convinced I'd select Nexus again if I were pregnant again. And for anyone choosing another package, add on the WhatsApp, it's so worthwhile.

My personal experience with Hulda was diabolicle , she was rude and in my opion should not be doing this sort of work.. Even my friends experience with her baby Diana was ruined by Hulda and her treatment.

Disclaimer: We had our first appointment and were late due to address confusion. We apologized and this is our first meeting so the experience is about the expectation mismatch.
Few Issues which shouldn t have happened in first meeting -
1. No proper introduction. Frankly we don t remember her name, no business card exchange, no background or role in the clinic.
2. Sterile experience - we did not feel comfortable or at ease. She couldn t read the room. I felt the empathy was missing and it s our first pregnancy so before diving into the pitch, ask how are we feeling, how s the day like, whether we go to work or at home, are we both working, who is managing and how are we doing so far. Nothing. Just this is what we have to offer and rest will send you on emails. (Haven t received and it s been 2 days)
3. No trigger for follow ups and a bland experience. Either they are not interested in our business or wont budge before we sign up.

This is first experience and while we are OK to give a second thought - I wish first is not the last. It s not about the money but if we pay top dollar, I expect they can walk the talk.

All of these features put us in a situation where we were exceptionally well informed, prepared, and supported.
