Angelina Paris Review

The waitresses are sweethearts, but the girl who was at the door treated me very badly. I was alone and no one came to take my order, when she appeared I told her that I was waiting for someone to take care of me. She was very rude and when I finished speaking closed the menu with force, even popped. I felt very sad because I was very polite. The service in France is the worst of all the countries I've been to. I will not be back. And who says that this is the best hot chocolate in life clearly did not go to Gramado / SC.

Tried to have breakfast and was seated by dessert counter. Sat for about 10 minutes and was never approached by a waiter to take my order. Got up and left. Other then that it was great. JMO

The Mont Blanc that tastes like chestnuts is worth tasting, but the service is unfriendly.

Incredible desserts, wonderful coffee, excellent service, with the gorgeous setting being the cherry on top.

We finally returned to Paris and Cafe Angelina after 16 years and both were perfect. During that time I have sent everyone I know who has visited Paris to get Angelina's hot chocolate and no one has ever been dissatisfied. Cafe Angelina deserves its reputation - and the food was terrific, too! Vive la France!

Iconic tea room with the best pastries: Mont Blanc. Quite expensive but worth it. Also known for its hot chocolate that I personally enjoy less. Pretty average on the service and very touristy but to do absolutely!

The hot chocolate lived completely upto the expectations - brilliant! Although we missed out on the Pain Au Chocolat - another signature dish. Loved the scrambled eggs and the pastry sandwiches. The ambience was really good too. Overall - 5/5.

They serve the most amazing hot chocolate!!! It's real chocolate melted down with a pinch of milk . The lunch tea time is great as well.

The setting is very pleasant apart from the fact that there is no air conditioner or fan. In this time of heat wave the place turns into a real furnace. I had Angelina breakfast at 29.50 E. The coffee has no taste. More

Be prepared for slow service, waited more than 10mins to even get menu! And no COVID precautions in place, no social distancing as restaurant wants to maximise revenue.

If you are a foreigner, expect to be served the last with staff forgetting you at least twice. No matter how much french you try to speak to staff they won't come to you untill you shout at them across entire room.

Deli pastry. An indescribable flavor sensation. Worth. Luxury for the palate.

The cafe is obviously famous, but one of our waiters was not welcoming at all. Luckily we got suddenly a new one who was very attending.
The food was impeccable and the sandwich big.
Otherwise the hostess was also very nice and welcoming.

A good cup of coffee served with a small bottle of water was agreeable. However, the chestnut cake was a bit disappointing, nothing special, too sweet and greasy.

The pastries were not fresh and the place is deteriorating. Very disappointed. The staff were friendly but the quality of the food was not up to standards, we didn t bother to finish our 10 euro pastries. I would recommend others to avoid this tourist trap.

Loved it. Great service. Pastries are fantastic, especially the Mont Blanc. It s worth every Euro. We went to the one on Rue Rivoli and enjoyed every minute of it. Oh, and the croissants are to die for.

Divine hot chocolate 'Africain', busy and rather expensive but worth it for a luxury treat!

The service, however, is a bit disparate - excellent service at the reception, but our waiter was not very pleasant thereafter .. allow a little wait before having a table, a very popular place, especially for tourists.

Never seen so little attention to customers. At 17.00 they finished a third of the desserts proposed in the menu. Obviously in the third negative check I find myself forced out. I had my breakfast with my sisters their when we were in paris and it was a beautiful experience with friendly waiters and delicious variety of food. We had to wait to have a seat but it was worth it.

Because the waiting time for the line was a little long, I went directly to the take-out area to buy chocolate lightning puffs, signature Montblanc and hot chocolate. The products of this famous store are all of high unit price. For the taste of Taiwanese, delicious is delicious but it is too sweet. Hot chocolate has a very fragrant taste and is also sweet. Angelina has been supplying parisien sweetheart chocolate since 1902. Their white chocolate version is a must.

We had reservations but arrived late. No problem they took us right away. Staff were outstanding the attention was outstanding as were all the little service details. The food was excellent. Hot chocolate a must have especially with an extra helping of whipped cream. Great ambience

Amazing! Best hot chocolate in Paris. Grab one and take a little walk in Tuileries garden.

AMAZING! Even though they mixed up our order. They apologized multiple times for the mistakes but it didn t bother us at all, it can happen to the best. We left very happy and satisfied. We are definitely coming back.

Be sure to visit and drink the famous chocolate and try cakes with chestnuts.

After a the private walking tour in Le marais Paris , I always recommend Angelina , especially their tasty and famous hot chocolate

A must visit place in Paris. The best (and richest) hot chocolate in the world in a wonderful French Salon de The. The pastries to accompany the drinks are fabulous also.

This is one of our favorite places to go in Paris. It has the best chocolate in the world.... seriously. We have been a few times and have loved our experience. This time we had the Persian breakfast with assorted pastries (croissant, chocolate croissant, bread, juice and hot drink). We thought it was a big portion. The service was also excellent in all of our visits. Make sure to go as early in the morning as you can, because it gets very full, very quickly.

Marvelous experience. Nice and peaceful and the line moves very quickly. Service is impeccable as well. Ask for table 45 if you're a fan of Chanel ;)

Very overrated. Yes the tea is good (desserts a bit sweet but good as well), but there are way too many tourists. The place is a bit run down, extremely crowded, and without a single window inside...is that crazy? Expect to spend 18 EUR on tea and a dessert. I would recommend somewhere else more authentically Paris.

The queue to get a seat at Angelina stretched quite far looking like it would be at least a 30 minute wait! We decided to get a take-away and eat in the park across the street.

I highly recommend getting the lemon tart, best lemon tart ever! Any dessert you buy is sure to be a hit!

I had 4 pieces of cake there.
Eclair chocolate, lemon tart, strawberry tart and millefeuille.
They were all great. More than average.
But not that special to go to this place on purpose.
The male server was very friendly and nice. The female server looked indifferent in her job. Like she was forced to do the job she didn't want.

Very chic but also very expensive and full of tourists yet our taste was very nice, we took the hot chocolate black and white and mont blanc (absolutely commender, top!)

Disappointed with the quality of the food, for the price that it is not worth it. The white mount is very heavy and bland. Hot chocolate not amazing at all and heavy too. But the worst was the reception, we had to deal with a blonde waitress, old enough to be extremely uncomfortable with us, we hear bitch and makes us feel embarrassed by asking him things. I heard that this tea room is the favorite of Miss Coco Chanel. There are a lot of people in the doorway but the table is very fast. The space inside is still very big, but the seats are very close, but fortunately, we can t understand Chinese foreigners. It is not ~ according to the guidelines, the coco Chanel package - a cup of hot chocolate, a piece of chestnut cake. Hot chocolate is not prepared for ordinary hot chocolate, cocoa powder with whole milk and cream products, thick, not too sweet and bitter, but it is too rich. We came here for the famous Mont Blancs, but ended up discovering more gems!

The chestnut cream that comes with the breakfast sets is amazing (we bought three jars to go!), and the hot chocolate is one of the best things I've ever had. It's definitely on the decadent side but absolutely worth a try! Their jams are also delicious - would come back here for the pastries and jams alone.

The mont blanc was good - the chestnut topping was smooth and not overly sweet. Wish it came with a candied chestnut though.

P.S. Definitely get some of their chocolates to go!

Everything I had I loved. Got the brunch with the cheese and herb croissant and the crepe for dessert. Don't forget the hot chocolate. It was one of the best I have ever had. Expensive place but worth the money

The best pastry shop in Paris, all more than good, the chocolate is superb, the pastries are a show both in the attention to detail and in quality, the prices are high, but here you remember where you are and what you are going to eat, in summary price more than justified, you must go here absolutely, it is a fixed stop for the greedy.
