My first ever visit to RAI, and my colleague had a medical issue. The staff were prompt and professional, and made the situation as pleasant as could be. The only downside to my 3 day visit was the food - overpriced and poor quality. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Very good deals for commuters in terms of day ticket if you buy tickets and meet the conditions.
Disadvantage: the system with the license plate recognition seems to be slightly vulnerable. Didn't work for us - maybe problems with number plates that are not Dutch?

Rai is big and everything happens. I always cycle past it. What always surprised me is that Rai station, where many people travel via (train and metro) when they go to the Rai, but has one ticket machine for the metro. So sometimes very long lines. But it is being renovated now so who knows?

Very large convention centre. Metro was easy to access, the Overground train station to the airport was 10min walk. Found it difficult to find facilities - seemed there wasn't enough. Usual overpriced food and drinks. Wouldn't go to a conference BECAUSE it was at the RAI, more I'd go to the RAI because of a conference

I went to HISWA, the annual "bone exhibition" in the Netherlands. Now also in addition to the many beautiful ships, sloops and sailing boats. Also many types of accessories, such as solar panels. There was also plenty to do in the outer harbor. There were also other things related to free time, such as travel information, but also electric scooters and folding bicycles. Was very successful.

Well connected by the public transportation. 20 min from the airport, so easy in and out from Amsterdam. Very good choices of food around the venue. Also a diverse options of hotels. So of the halls have different elevation which means some stairs, which is not ideal. Also the check in lobby is not large enough to cater for large numbers queuing.

I had to deliver mail there and could also drop mail for another department there because there was a fair where much is grown super fine thanks for that. However, I was almost stopped by busy traffic by the rai and I was different without leaving the post gone. So those traffic controllers of the RAI should be better instructed so that suppliers for transportation during busy exhibition days can just deliver their stuff.

As the fair area is really big, if all the halls are full and you will be interested in each stand, you will walk a lot.
There are plenty of rest areas inside, and classic is more expensive than that. If you need this, you will spend 3 euro.
You can go by metro number 51 from the center, there are 8 stops in between. You can buy a single-use (hourly) ticket for 3 euro on departure and return or you can buy one OV card from vending machines and use it just like Istanbul card. The fee for this card is 2.16 euro, but you need to pay 7.5 euro for the card. The card is more meaningful and practical if you are going to do it for 4 days because you can wait in the kiosk press queue to buy tickets at rai station.

Great place to park with a neat possibility to visit the city using the public transportation. The only issue I have is with the marking of the parking. P2 is meant for P+R, however the first parking you arrive at is P7. Be careful on your first visit since you might do the same mistake I did.

Always nice to visit a fair.

Always nice to visit a fair.

Catering is on the price! But then you don't have to walk around with a backpack.
