The best school for your toefl exam preparation First Stella is an excellent teacher who teaches us writing and listening and she is sososo beautiful she teaches us a lot of strategies such as how to train our ears how to sum up the paragraph and so on she is editing all the students essays and she is so responsible for us Last time she just stopped me and edited the essay even she didnt eat lunch l was so touched l am so glad to meet this kind of great teacher
Also DJ is teaching us reading and speaking he is great and funny l love his classes a lot

AmLotus is one the best English Schools in the area. Small and clean, Everyone is nice , friendly , kind . Farida is the best agent there , the staff is great, always there to help students. Julia was my teacher, she always smiled , kind to student. The class was animated and I learnt a lot. I couldn t be happier.

I desperately needed a help to prepare CATW because taking ESL courses again is a waste of money and time. So I started to study CUNY assessment test with Stella, an academic writing instructor in Amlotus school. She gave me lots of knowledge like formats and strategies and finally passed the test within 3 weeks. If you want to pass the CATW, you can immediately start it with Amlotus.

This is an excellent place to study. The teachers are quite exceptional and very patient. My agent Farida is a wonderful lady who is always one phone call away and ready to solve any problems that arise. I highly recommend this place.

So glad I found out about this school. Hands down the best F1 ESL school in Manhattan. The admin, staffs and teachers are very friendly, helpful and informative to the students. This school helped me better my english. The teachers are very well articulate and friendly. Learning ESL in New York City with this establishment is incredible!

There are a lot of friendly teachers and very polite services. I explained in great detail that there was something I didn't understand and my New York life was enriched.

You won't regret if you choose this school. Why? Below are my reasons. In my experience I've studied at other schools before I found Amlotus. I personally believe it's the best choice in NYC. Anyway, let's jump to the reasons.
1. Price is unbeatable. No hidden fees or additional charges for anything.
2. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Teachers and all staff members are always willing to help. We also have free breakfast everyday.
3. You can come to school any time any day to study, to ask questions, to use computer, etc.
4. Location is super cool. The heart of Manhattan, what could be better?
5. I love my schedule. I don't have to wake up crazy early, but I still have a whole day to myself after classes.
6. Classes are pretty small, which gives me feeling of private tutoring. Lol.

Of course, there are always some bad things to say. However, frankly, I didn't find any so far. For me, it is the best school. I am planning to stay here till I get accepted to a college.

I've been studying in this school for a while, the best language school in NY. Unlike other schools, the directors of the school are very professional and willing to help. It's a great place to learn New York TOEFL. We are a small school, so teachers will take care of each student and bread and coffee will be served in the morning. Julia Sam is very nice, she teaches well and overall the atmosphere is good.

While I was looking for a well-taught TOEFL institute in New York, I found Amlotus !! It's a very good language school because teachers give tutorials in addition to class time. And they also offer free bagel and beverage every morning ~ :)

Very satisfied with the service offered by this school . Farida does a remarkable job in the assistance to obtain the F1 visa or change status . She is always attentive to the needs of the students. Stella and DJ who are the IBT TOEFL Teachers are just amazing, my English has improved a lot since I joined their class. My mom is a student from Amlotus. EVRYONE is very kind and lovely. My mom also enjoys the classes.

I have been studying at Amlotus since January 2017 and I have been pleased with their services. The pros of attending here outweigh the cons. Below are the pros and cons of attending school here based on my experience so far.

Pros
1. Tuition Fees are affordable with no hidden charges and they offer flexible payment terms.
2. The space is clean and organized
3. Administrative staff is very knowledgeable of immigration and state laws. Took so much stress out of my shoulders on this.
4. The media facility is very nice and you will not feel like you paid for nothing
5. I appreciated the extra lessons and advice from staff and teachers about adjusting to the culture here in America because I badly needed it when I just moved here.
6. They provide free breakfast coffee and tea in the mornings.
7. Very convenient location and has a lot of good restaurants and stores around the area. You can basically explore the city after classes
8. They allow the students to use the computer lab if you want to study.

Cons
1. The temperature inside the classroom gets too warm when the class is full and it takes away from the great of the class
2. The admissions counseling area does not provide enough privacy. You can hear and see each other through a transparent partition.
3. Since food around the area is expensive, you may have to bring your own food but make sure that you bring something that does not need to be heated or chilled as they do not a pantry.
4. The library and common area for students to lounge and interact is too small.

I absolutely LOVE this school! My cousin came to the United States and wanted to improve her English and while doing my research, I came across this school and decided to find our more information. Everyone at the school are so helpful and caring about each one of their students. From the agents Farida and Joel, to the teachers, and administration. They are invested in their students well being, education, and immigration status. I highly recommend this school. They treated my cousin as if they were family I am glad I picked this school for her.

I want to say thank you to AmLotus! I studied here TOEFL preparation program from March till August. I was lucky enough to be in classes of Stella Mun and DJ Kim. They are really know how to train students to get required score, and even higher. For example, my desirable score was 83, but I got 93. It was my first exam of Toefl and first Toefl preparation program. When I receive my scores I was surprised to see higher scores than I expected! I believe that my success is result of teachers top level professionalism!

I really need a course that can help me with a TOEFL score of over 102. I have tried many school courses, and because the course is not systematic enough, I have been unable to get my target score. I will choose the TOEFL course at Amlotus because the class time is very suitable for me and the tuition is very reasonable. In addition, Amlotus also provides daily computer simulation tests covering reading, listening, speaking and writing. I would like to recommend this course to all candidates who are preparing for the TOEFL test. I still think of my teachers and school staff from now on.

There's no place to study for TOEFL in Manhattan these days. The teachers are quite competent and sensational .. Besides, the material catches well and teaches them to apply without forgetting what they learned the day before or the day before. Reading fingerprints that did not come into the eyes is a joy when it comes into the eyes ... I like to recommend students who do not go up the score even though I practiced a lot of reading ~~~

Amlotus provides you with best TOEFL course in New York. I have been studying TOEFL for years to obtain 100 scores for my graduate school application. From my friend s strong recommendation, I started TOEFL preparation course in this school. This school is not huge but has strong and effective TOEFL programs (including daily computer TOEFL tests with all sections and many useful questions). Also, Amlotus offers an individual course that is good for someone who works and needs high scores on one or two subjects like me.

Amlotus is simply the right place to learn from and get professional help either in Toefl or as English as ESL in general. They are amazing people who willing to offer help all the time. Their tips and advises are so workable and tailored on every student level and problems. In my case they really helped me a lot on my Toefl journey and had direct impact on improving my score significantly on all sections. I was struggling with the speaking score, but with him, I improved 4 points only for TOEFL speaking section in 5 weeks. He is very skillful and professional!! I studied at many other schools in New York and even at Hackers in Seoul, but DJ Kim is the best!!

I registered 20 individual TOEFL sessions (reading and speaking) with DJ Kim from Amlotus language school in New York. My goal was to have a score higher than 90. Thanks to the well-organized lectures of DJ, I finally succeeded to have 98, which is higher than my target score. DJ and all staff helped me a lot. Choosing Amlotus for preparing TOEFL test was the best choice that I ever made.

Amlotus is one of the better places to improve and enhance your English language skills. Admission staff are very efficient and has extensive experience. Payment plans are flexible and convenient. Teachers are equipped with knowledge and the level of proficiency is highly recommended. They are very attentive with students who needs improvements and tutoring though I personally do not need this extra service. Though my English is already good, I still find the classes very interesting and has a lot of practical applications to daily conversations. Computer lab use is available and space has increased recently after renovation. The only critique I have is, the classroom gets too warm when its full. If your someone who likes to bring food, you will not be able to use a microwave or fridge for they don't have pantry. You might have to develop a thick face and ask the neighboring office for this favor . For those who wants to enroll, be attentive to the course your taking in order to ensure you are attending the right class. Overall, I would recommend this school to my friends and relatives. Hopefully they improve on the cons that I have mentioned here.

Overall, I can say that AmLotus is a great school for me. They have the best English course here and I am very happy that I enrolled here. This is a great place to learn! Based on my experience, the advantages of coming here surpass the disadvantages. Some of the Advantages that I noticed here are: The school recently expanded, making more school rooms. They also renovated the offices, making it spacious and organize.
They have affordable tuition fees and they also work with you in terms of payment options. Administrative staff are very approachable when you have any school concerns. They are very well versed in immigration and state laws. The staff emails and calls you to keep you abreast with what is happening in school and or notify you if there are any changes in the schedules.The teachers are very good at their jobs and they know their lessons well. They are also very approachable and I learn a lot from them. They also take you on a field trips and expose you to a whole new hands on learning experience which I really like.
The school is equipped with current media technologies that we use in our classes which is very useful and makes the class more engaging and interactive. The school is conveniently located. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores in the area in case I get hungry. It is the best area to explore the city after classes.
There are also minimal disadvantages that I observed and I am confident that the school can definitely has no problem in addressing them as they are ready to resolve issues fast. There are times that some staff are not coordinated with the student coordinator in terms of payment option and student schedule. The information that was given to me by the person who called was different from what my student coordinator has informed me. Although they renovated the admissions area, I am not very comfortable with the glass partitions as it doesn t allow enough privacy.
They don t have enough space for student lounge or pantry that allows student to eat and heat food in case we bring our own food. The classroom can sometimes get so hot during summertime and it gets too noisy from the street noise below when the windows are open.

They have flexible schedule, very friendly stuff and teachers. The class rooms has been renovated recently so it's very clean. Location is very convenient too. I totally love this school and recommend to everyone who want to learn English ;)

Michael Sacks (Amlotus Language School) is the best teacher I have experienced having classes with so far.
He pays attention to every student in the class, open to any questions/suggestions, always makes the class exciting with the activities, questions, sharing his own experience, being genuine, open minded, caring, full of positive vibes every class (what I appreciate more than a lot), understanding, funny, enthusiastic, passionate about giving us knowledge, helping us meeting our goals in learning English and in life in general, supporting, using his personal time to actually understand what s in our minds by talking to us one-on-one, asking how he can improve himself in order we feel better in the class and learning English, putting himself in our shoes, being always in touch when we need him. Students see it and there is always a nice friendly atmosphere in the group, what makes them look forward to attend the class. His way of teaching is both effective and fun.

I have taken TOEFL classes at AmLotus. Especially, I am very happy with Reading and Speaking classes. What I like about the Reading class is that the teacher taught us how to deal with different types of questions by understanding the relations between main ideas and details. I didn t have strong verbal skills and needed more than 23 scores in the speaking section for my graduate school application. Whenever I took TOEFL tests, I was so nervous and ended up with incomplete answers. AmLotus allowed me to become a more confident English learner. I took the TOEFL test so many times before I came to AmLotus. Many of New York s sights such as the Empire State Building, Times Square, Flatiron, Central Park, and Madison Square Garden are within walking distance of the school, which is located in the heart of the city, close to the Pennsylvania Station. Amlotus English School provides students with clean and comfortable environments as well as a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. All the staff is very considerate, warmhearted, and caring. You would never feel uncared for and neglected. It is like you are becoming a family. When it comes to the size of classes in general, they are all small so that you can get individual attention and have a lot of question and answer sessions. In fact, they do have an Office Hours program through which you can ask questions in person after signing up for it in advance. I am taking TOEFL class although I need to study IELTS because they are very knowledgeable of both TESTs and always give me better advice. I am sure whoever comes to Amlotus will be satisfied with their kindness and strong curriculum. I think it is true because Amlotus has been accredited by CEA, which is also important for students like me who need F-1 visa. I am very happy that I chose to come to Amlotus. ^^

Am Lotus is a great school, they have different levels of English. The classrooms are very large and equipped with computers and projectors that help improve the quality of study. As I was searching for TOEFL academy I came across this academy Amlotus. I have been to many different places and by far this was the best learning experience ever. Amlotus gives me a warm feeling in my heart because of the friendly staffs. Administration staff Joel is so friendly it makes the process so simple. Joel s kindness makes starting day one very ease to blend in with everyone else. He always try to help all students for our convenience. I had a problem with a reading section in the TOEFL test because reading passages were so long that I wasn't able to deal with the limited time. Even though I understood all the passages in the reading, I missed so many questions and ended up with incomplete answers. I had been working towards getting enough TOEFL score for years, so I was desperate at that time. However, when a reading instructor brought many types of reading questions and analyzed paragraphs and the strategies, I eventually could get 27 in 4 weeks in the section. The instructor's name is DJ and he is a phenomenal teacher. DJ~! I could not have done it without you! I really appreciate it.

I have studied TOEFL in Manhattan, New York for few months. I went to several TOEFL schools but Amlotus language school stood out the most. Staff are very caring and nice. Teachers have good strategies that you need to know in order to get a high score. The school provides free bagels and coffee everyday so I think Amlotus is the best school in New York. (****They also provide I-20 for F1 students.)

I don t like TOEFL at all although I passed it. It was a great threat to my life and my dream. I mean it. I had spent two years of my life only passing TOEFL. I couldn t pass it. Then, I found Amlotus and finally passed TOEFL. I have bittersweet feeling about TOEFL. Anyway, if you want to pass this monster-like TOEFL as quickly as possible, you need a good school. I was looking for an ESL school that teaches TOEFL well with 100 goals. I studied for more than a year at schools that teach well, but when I think about it now, I regret it. Even the ASA has never seen a TOEFL before. I once had to teach you to scroll down and click on the readings to see the problem and the fingerprint together. There are a lot of people who don't even know the TOEFL. Ask carefully when you register for school. The M-Lotus Dunes only heard the first time, but they knew. I feel confident about TOEFL, and it's the best I've ever seen. Don't waste your time like me and listen!
