Our flight was delayed to nearly 2AM in late Augus...

Our flight was delayed to nearly 2AM in late August 2019 so there was no car rental shuttle at the airport as they were closed. We turned up after the office opened later in the morning to collect our car only to be told that our prepaid contract was cancelled because we did not turn up to collect within the allotted time. We explained that we could not collect because they closed the office and had they been open at 2AM, we would have been within the alloted time. Staff were very rude and told us it was our fault, They offered no alternatives and we had to board the shuttle and return to the airport to find another car rental company. The car was booked through Doyouspain who were not much more helpful suggesting we claim compensation from the airline for our delayed arrival. No refund was offered so money down the drain. Will never use either company again and stay away as they seem little more than a scam operation. I would give zero stars if that was possible and hence the one star,.

DO NOT USE. Couldn't tell you the number of hidden...

DO NOT USE. Couldn't tell you the number of hidden costs that were dumped on us when we arrived to collect the car (Second driver, young driver, insurance, petrol costs, etc. etc.). The only redeeming factor was that the clerk took off one of them because we could show her that the age bracket for young drivers was different in the paperwork we had. The company have now contacted me 7 months later to say I have a traffic offence and I need to pay them 50 euros.

THIS COMPANY IS CHEATING BY GIVING MISLEADING INFORMATION ON COSTS AND PRICES!!! Before we booked a car, I checked several other rental car companies and Amigo Autos seemed to be cheapest. I booked a car and got an e-mail with confirmation of my reservation and information: "You have made the full payment of your reservation .
When we arrived in Sevilla, it turned out not to be true. We were asked to pay an additional cost of 39,99EUR ( Gestion de repostaje and your agent was not able to explain in English what this is, we speak no Spanish).

Apart from this, further amounts (1200EUR+) were to be blocked in our credit card, for which we were not prepared (back home, before the journey, we had put a day limit in our card to 1000EUR for safety reasons). Before the journey, we received from Amigo Autos no information about the amount to be blocked in our card specifically for the car we booked.

Needless to say, all this made us very frustrated. It was not possible to block 1200 EUR in our credit car, so we had no other option as to purchase the "OK Premium Cover" for the amount of 170,01 EUR (!!!) which I do not believe is a regular market price for an insurance like this.

The whole situation was very stressful to us.
I will never ever use Amigo Autos. I will rather reach for more international car rentals like AVIS or other, I believe they have a more friendly information policy and a respectul ways of doing business with their Customers

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid do not book: Hidden charges th...

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid do not book: Hidden charges that you do not fully understand until you are stood in person collecting the car.

Whilst appearing cheaper on the do you Spain website, the true cost was three times the amount.

Stay with reputable brands such as Hertz.
