One of the worst companies to work for. It's hard to imagine they make equipment for hospitals when there are substandard working conditions and the employees are treated as puppets. Too much work politics. The Human resources is a joke (especially when the director decides who is to be hired)
Any Construction company or a Hospital that is buying anything from this company should have some conscience and stay away.

Toxic workplace! They don't care if you approach your manager to ask questions and get assistance at amico corp. They'd rather get rid of you then solve verbal mistreatment happening in the workplace when you bring up the issue with the main manager.
You'll also either get yelled at and told loudly, "do you not know how to speak English" when asking for help by the assistant short manager at corp who can't speak proper English and doesn't know the anwser due to their lack of skills/knowledge the place doesn't care about it's most valuable hard working employees.

There are some unfair reviews on here. I have worked in Amico for over 13 years and have worked at multiple places before I started here. This is by far the best company I have ever worked at and have no plans of ever leaving. One review states this is not an equal opportunity employer and that is flat out false. During my tenure here, I have worked with people of every race and religion... Amico has one of the most diverse range of employees I have ever seen. I understand some people are upset if they were let go or not hired but Amico is a leading medical equipment manufacturing company and when selling the product that we sell, we need the best of the best. I started from a temp agency and worked my way up to Production Manager. It's all about what you put into it. For any employees looking to work here or any medical facilities looking to purchase from one of the Amico divisions, this company is an industry leader with amazing management and takes great pride in its product and the fact that we help hospitals worldwide provide the best care money can buy to their patients.

I will provide some pieces of advice for those people who want to work in the procurement department. I have to say that this organization in this specific department is NOT an equal opportunity employer. They are extremely racist and unprofessional. The most evil and deceiving people you can find on earth are there. In my opinion, they just accept asian people. I think this selective "screening process" should not exist in a free developed country like Canada. I am just leaving this here to warn people. I had a terrible experience there. I had one single day trial as a Purchasing Analyst, in less than 3 hours they kicked me out just because my physical appearance. Oh, you can leave, "I just don't like you". This supervisor must be taken to court. Be aware of this before applying! The name of this unfortunate procurement officer is Susana. Be careful. She has no soul.

Toxic and not a fair workplace. Pay is unacceptable for the work you have to do. There's a short assistant to the manager at amico corp who doesn't speak proper English who loves to verbally yell at people and provides no assistance when needed.
