Amethod Schools is a joke of a badly run organization with incompetent administrators. I have excellent educational credentials and teaching experiences, and I was warmly praised in my two introductory interviews. But when I got too "real" by asking about the salary Pete Cordero got more and more vague. It turns out their salaries are far below competing charter schools, and their paltry salaries are unrealistic given Bay Area high costs of living. No wonder the Amethod schools experience high teacher turnover. After I got too "real" about salary, Cordero gave me a cursory tour in which I was not introduced to any teachers, staff, or students, but only viewed rooms, tables, chairs, and walls. What a wonderful introduction to the dehumanizing culture of Amethod! Clearly, human relationships are beside the point at Amethod! Later the director Villa started to make up reasons like I lacked cleared certification, though their ads clearly state that they accept applicants who "want certification" but who do not have certification. So here she lied. Or else I was lied to later when I posted this to Glassdoor, and I was told that I was just a "bad cultural fit." So which reason is the right one? "lacks certification" or "bad fit" Their stories are inconsistent and dishonest. So this is to say the culture of Amethod does not value honesty, transparency, critical thinking, and independent action. Does Amethod not care about human relationships and the welfare of its employees who are paid slave wages yet live in a high cost of living area? Truly crazy! And the reasons I was given differ markedly so there is a lack of honesty, transparency, and consistency. Such a badly run, incompetent organization.
